Garret quickly made note of the vampires unease and decided that it was unlikely for her to attack unless he were to provoke her. "So you have no interest in me then?" Garret replied smiling, he was going for a more friendly smile, but he was almost sure that it was threatening so he added. "My name is Garret Thorngage, may I ask yours madam?"

Madeline grinned back. "No... not really." Already, she could tell he wouldn't try anything shifty... yet. He seemed friendly. My name is Madeline De Adrieu, and I live in the forest around Glenyore. Whaere do you come from?" She asked. "There has never been another vampire here. You may want to be cautious near town. I've been here for over four centuries, and still they do not trust me." She said with a smile.

"I'm from...heh, you may find this funny but I can't remember the name of the village I'm from, it's been quite some time since I've been there." Garret replied, he was somewhat embarrassed that he had forgotten the name of the place he had come from. "That's the reason I feasted upon these elk, I only intended on having three though, the other two were me running for the next fattest...but now I'm sick of blood, so I should be fine. Would you mind showing me to this town of yours? I was planning on dropping in, but I don't think they would be so welcoming." Garret explained, he was very hopeful, it seemed as though Madeline would be very friendly, seeing as she didn't hunt humans either.
Garret never really hunts humans, he just happens to come across them where nobody would notice. Sometimes the human would be lucky and it would be right after a meal, or they weren't so lucky and Garret took all their blood, and sometimes clothing or whatever they may have had.

((Because Draganhealer hasn't posted in a while I'm pretending James left the building and went home. Also, it is now nighttime and humans should be inside.))
Locking the door securely, Lenore let out a sigh of exhaustion and started cleaning and putting evrything away. She was starving, and after the day she had, she needed to go out and hunt for something. Something that would fight back and let her relax after taking it down.
The fae summoned forth her wings and allowed her true nature to take over completely. Her form turned into a steriotypical pixie, small, glowing, winged. Except Lenore's form glowed dark purple-black and her wings looked more batlike than anything else.
Flitting about the now empty shop/house, she double checked everything and shot up and out of the chimeny, ready to hunt for 'pretty' insects like sleeping butterflies and dragonflies.

Dimitri walked over too his fire place and started too get a fire going. He took a few peices of dry bark and flint from a box and got a small flame going then took a few small peices of wood and set them over. He walked over too a large metal bin he had made too keep firewood in for night time, or if snow got too high too walk in. He kept it full all the time so there was little need too go into the woods. He put on three smaller peices and sat down and watched the fire, a metal poker in his hand too make sure the wood wouldn't roll out.

{I really sorry guys I had finals and they kicked my arse. }
James fixed himself a meal of dragonflies and beetle wings. He had packed enough food to last him a while, mostly because he hated hunting in unfamiliar territory. Once finished with his meal he decided to ignore the curfew and take a stroll over to the blacksmiths. He was in need of a few things and he had not had a chance to get acquainted yet.
He stepped out into the dark and snowy night, his expensive leather boots leaving tracks behind him in the dusty covering on the ground. His face looked grim as he squinted to see the ground. He was so use to lanterns and having some one around to drive him every were he wanted to go that it was hard to travel alone when it was so treacherous out.
Finally he made it to the smithery. He knocked loudly on the door with the steal door knocker, and took a step back. Waiting for the man to answer. James’s dark hair was frost covered and the shoulders of his dark jacket were toped with a sprinkling of snowflakes. It was not good for the fabric to be so brutally treated and he winced inwardly at this sad fact.

Covered in a sticky goo that was the equivalent of insect blood, a satisfied dark fae began flitting about the forest in no particular pattern. She just wanted to get the day's tension out, flex her wings a bit and tend her garden maybe.
Speaking of her garden, in a violent gesture, the fae jerked hard to the right and only barely dogded a tree, her zippy speed making her look like nothing more than a little beam of dark light. she zipped past Madeline and whoever Madeline was with and continued on her way to her garden, taking rights and lefts and doubling back and tripling back and flying about in circles until finally she was at her secret garden.
Stalks and bushes and vives of flora surrounded her, the fiberous green stems and roots housing her relatives while the massive blooms closed their frightening plant mouths and put forth their petals, some of which were at least three yards a peice.
"None of them are ready," she lamented, landing gently on one. It wasn't long before her mother came up beside her and hustled her into the little home located in the trunk of a massive rose bush, complaning all the while that she was nothing but skin and bones and pixie dust.

Madeline smiled again, and spoke. "Well then, Garret, look at Glenyore as a place to restart." Listening to the rest of his words, she looked at him. "Of course! Follow me, and do not worry about them being less than gracious. If they see me, they will be good, I am a..." She paused and looked for the right word. "... Well respected member of the town." Turning around, she gestured for Garret to come to as she walked in the general direction of the city. I've never met another vampire before... and I do not know if he has or not. How does one act towards another one of our race? Frowning as she continued to walk, Madeline sighed and mulled this around in her head. Oh well, I'll just act as seems appropriate... And hope for the best.
[[OOC: Actually, Madeline does hunt humans. The treaty just says she cant kill them.]]

((I know, I read the bio, but even somebody who is as perceptive as him makes mistakes, but he's not exactly absolutely sure on everything.))
"I'm curious, are you the executioner?" Strake asked as he followed. Unsure as to whether she maybe did eat the townsfolk that were convicted, or if she were a non-human eater like he attempted to be. "It would seem fit if that were your position, seeing as it is very difficult to be near humans for extended periods of time without sucking out all their blood." Strake explained, hoping to explain his thoughts on it. "That's the reason I feasted, to avoid attacking in the city, but I could only go so long, you may want to keep a leash on me." Strake was possibly hopeful at the idea of staying with the female vampire, he's not sure if it is curiosity or some other emotion, but he was drawn into her, he had never met another vampire.

Istas walked Xue through the frozen snow, at some point Istas had fallen asleep in Lenore's shop, something that Istas was very ashamed of, and when she awoke She left as quickly and quietly as she could. With as late as it was no one was out in the village, at least no one smart; the curfew was very strict for the normal people of the village. When the curfew was enacted it wasn't meant as a punishment, but as a protection for the people; the unfortunate truth was that the creatures of the forest weren't human, and they had slip ups when trying to act human, one such slip up was what caused the curfew so many of the villagers hated. But thinking about the slip up made Istas's head hurt, it had occurred so many years ago but the people of the village still seemed to hurt from it. Noise in the forest brought Istas back to reality with a start, and when it turned out to be a normal rabbit hopping through the bushes she laughed at herself. "Glad no one saw that." She said to herself, before looking back at Xue, "Well you did, but you're not talking are you?" The outskirts of the village were always quiet, and this night was no exception, but that didn't mean that Istas would take the night off, no she'd stay up for quite a while making sure that nothing would get into the village without her notice; not an easy job but being the only defender the village had was not a career choice. So, Istas and Xue stayed of alert for as long as they could before they had to get up at sunrise once again to do their jobs. "Well hell, looks like I'm back out it the forest again tomorrow, I hate not finishing my work." Istas said to the air, before she looked over at the vampire's tower that stood looming over the trees. ((OOC: Sorry all, vacation got the better of me, and Gaia didn't like me for sometime either.))

Madeline laughed a tinkling bell as she walked, listening to Garret's question. "No, I'm forced to sneak into the town whenever I'm hungry, and I'm not allowed to kill anybody. The treaty I made long ago binds me like that, so in order to completely eliminate my hunger, I am forced to hunt several people, and yes, it does seem fit, doesn't it? However, the humans here think that a vampire executioner would be to inhumane." Still listening to Garret, she thought about it a bit before asking. "Do you have anywhere to stay?" She had a few spare bedrooms in her tower. She had built them back when she had been hopeful that other vampires would come to the city, and now that all of her hope had been long gone, one did. They were just in sight of the village, and the scent of humans was just creeping into her senses when she pointed at the wood wall that surrounded the town. "That, is Glenyore."

Lenore flew slowly through the woods, back in the direction of her town home. Her mother always made too much food, and by the time she made it out she was always flying slower, lower, and in more danger of being eaten or caught by a goblin. Stupid Goblins! they were probably the biggest threat to fae in these woods, but Istas didn't have the forces or means to try and help her family out. Ah well, that just meant she and her family were free to go about the less merciful ways of killing the stupid things.

"It's not inhumane...or you could be part of the clean up-crew, dead people don't need blood, we're living proof of that." Garret replied smiling. "Well I guess we do need blood, but not in our veins." He added after a moment of though. "And I don't have a place to stay, who occupies that tower? It looks rather nice. The town itself is unimpressive, but towns usually are." Garret answered guessing it was probably her tower from the looks of it. As he looked at the tower he just realized that he could smell again, and the smell of blood no longer lingered, and so he took in a deep breath.
"You have a very nice scent by the way." Garret said and continued walking behind her. Enjoying her scent all the while. Because of the snow he could not actually trace her scent to the tower, and he was sure that by tomorrow it would have snowed again and nobody could trace him to this town. Not like anyone from his old town would, everyone who had exiled him had left, and for all he knew the settlement was probably a ghost town, for it was commonplace in places with such extreme weather for people to abandon their homes for somewhere a more moderate temperature.

"That's actually a good point, I'll have to ask about that next time I meet the village elders... although they tend to avoid me. She chuckled at his 'Vampires don't need blood' speech, and continued walking until he asked about the tower. Her tower. Turning around, she smiled, and although from his face it seemed that he had already guessed it, she spoke anyways. "That is my tower. If you would like to, you can stay for a while..." She trailed off, hoping he would. She wanted to get to know him better, he was intriguing. Madeline, although pleased about his comment about her scent, she didn't know what to say, so she answered lamely, trying not to show her embarrassment. "As do you, Garret." Sighing in dismay at herself, she asked. "Would you like to proceed to the village?"

"I would be honored to stay with you." Garret replied with a large smile. "I'd rather head to the town in the morning, I hear the sounds of a sleeping village from them." He answered, not wanting to go into a sleeping city, it'd be much too tempting for him. "How about we just head to your place and find something to do until then?" Garret suggested. I wonder if she's a different type of vampire, if she needs sleep or not. He thought making sure to conceal his expression the best he could.
