After Val'atar left, he let out a soft sigh, "Well...I feel that went well..." He took a form from one of his files on his desk, leaving it in the out box. "That should get a start on sending out those plans. He doesn't strike me as a man that stands for procrastination." He sits up from his seat and moves over to his door. "Guard, see to it the new security system is ready on the school grounds and for the shrine as well. I want a full report on my desk in an hour."
He was just left his office, he felt a summoning. Someone was calling him... "Very well then, seems I will be stepping out for a while." He pulled out another small vile from his cloak, and after letting a drop of its contents hit the grounds under his feet, a cloud of smokes fills the air around him. When the smoke cleared, he was already gone.

As he returned to his home, he seemed to avoid any contact, even those of his own guards. It had been a tiring turn of events, and he just wanted his rest. He made his way to his bed chambers, and changed into something a bit more comfortable. He sat on the end of his bed, pouring himself a glass of wine from the bottle he kept by his night stand.
As he sipped of his wine, he thought more on the ring now around his finger. He wasn't sure if he should look on it as a sign of distrust, or as a tag to show he was needed. While pondering this, his mind seemed to keep going back to the moment the Matron had gathered up his silk like hair in her fingers. The thought stirred feelings of excitement and uneasiness.
He sipped the last of his drink and sat the glass on the night stand. He laid back on his bed, letting his eyes look over ceiling over him. "What a confusing game I have before me, and for the first time in a while, I'm not sure I know all the rules." He closes his eyes, breathing deeply, as he tried to relax.

"Rules change.. Llmryn, as do alliances I see." -came a whisper from the shadows at the far side of the bed chamber. There in the cold shadows stood Val'atar, wearing his war armor and a mask from behind which his eyes opened to glow ruby light upon the room. he had entered unharmed, untouched by ward or weapon.. not a sound to betray his presence until he wished it so.
He shifts his position and the soft creak of the armor and a even softer click sound is heard as he lowers the crossbow he had been holding upright so it pointed at the prone form before him- "It would seem that while I fight for our city and struggle to learn ways to defeat our newest foes, you have slithered into the second house to coil at the feet of the Matron. No doubt you will want to explain this in some manner of lies and supposed heartfelt words of solidarity."

He was a bit alarmed, he was yet to meet any manor of creature that could get past his watch towers, but he knew well that Val'atar wasn't -any- manor of creature."I don't have time or energy enough for lies Lord Val'atar. I only did what was natural, judge me from there. It was obvious that you didn't find my opinions to be do your liking, so I went somewhere they were. You yourself found the Matron to still be within the good of the city, so as long as that holds true I am still your ally as well. As I said before, I am willing to share what I know to make this city better, stronger. I'm not sure if my letter has reached you let, but in it was an apology, mostly for my rather hasty behavior before in the council. No matter how I felt, I should had remembered I was still new to this city. I also wanted to say the way I had spoke you to before was out of arrogance, and that I wanted to indeed be allied with you. If you accept that or not, or if you spit on my visit to the Matron, it's no longer a concern of mine. Here is some truth. If you do find a knife in your back, I will assure you that it wont be mine."
He sat up from his bed, filling his glass again with wine. "Besides, if you came here to do something about it, at least have a glass of wine with me." He swished the wine around in his glass before taking a small sip. "I don't doubt for a second if you wanted me dead, I wouldn't be alive right now, so it must be something else on your mind. Care to share it with me?"

-There is a long pause as Val'atar regard the drow before him, then with a soft creak the crossbow is shouldered and he inclines his helmed head slightly- "You do not fail to impress me jabuk Llmryn. Had you infact fallen to lies and supplications, you would be dead now."
-Easing from the shadows, Val'atar steps closer and takes a glass, pouring himself some wine. he feared no poison as his infernal ancestry all but made him immune to any mortal concoction and he doubted anyone here in this city knew what sort might effect him. Pushing the helm up slightly, he took a sip, then lowered it back into place before setting the glass down and moving back to his shadowed entry point- "I want you to keep me appraised of what the matron is up to. As you said.. for now she is deemed in the graces of the city, but we both know how quickly that can change, especially with the news of her seeming interest in your spider queen. For now.. this is all I ask."

He thought it over a moment, letting the liquid in his glass wave this way and that as he tilted the glass. Not much time passed before he looked up to Val'atar with his response. "I feel that, I and the Matron have much in common. I felt drawn to her, and what the cause of this was I do not 'fully' understand. Maybe it was just in my blood, as it is for all drow, to seek power and status. Maybe it was much more, something I'm not meant to know yet myself, but I do know I don't question the path I feel was meant for me to follow. Obviously that was not an answer to your question, but it was the reason I will give you the answer I'm giving you know. If I feel what the Matron does goes beyond what I feel is right, I will stand before you in person and report it, as well as take action." He smiled and place the glass to his lips, finishing the wine in his glass. "I'm sure that was not the answer you were looking for, but also, I'm assuming it was more than you expected."

-not a sound is heard for several long minutes as the demonic creature in the shadowed corner gazes at the room's only other occupant. There is no blink, no breath.. just hushed silence until at last Val'atar cocks his head slightly, long hair falling over one shoulder with whispered hisses. His soft voice echoes softly from behind the mask as he speaks-
"Be careful that you do not fail to impress me.. it has been awhile since I've tore down a house with my demons."
-so said, he fades into the shadow until nothing remains but the slight after smell of burnt flesh and a dull silence in his wake-

As Val'atar vanishes from his bed chambers, a smile forms on his lips, "That should be my line Lord Val'atar...but I already have a feeling you will impress me greatly." He lays his head back on his soft pillows, allowing his eyes to close and rest in full comfort. This rest was will earned, and will be enjoyed greatly.

He rose from his rest, finding himself still a bit drowsy. He moved from his bed and removed his evening wear, and changing into his new robes for the day. He fancied a very blue theme for the day, along with a jewel covered staff of the same color. "That was helpful, now lets see what I have missed in my time away." He made a small cut on his finger from a shape point on his staff and made a magic circle with the blood on his forehead. His eyes closed, and a moment later, the magic circle of blood sank into his skin, and flesh bubbled up from it, forming a glowing blue eye, in the reflection of the eye...were small spider eggs formed in a cluster.

The eye in his forehead sinks back into his skin, and his eyes flutter open after a second. He was only able to see images from the sight of the spiders, so all he was really able to gather was there was a great deal of rush around the House of the Matron Mother. Intrigued, he moved out to see about the fuss himself, not good to be left out of the loop after all.

He appears back at the gates of his house, waving his hand to the guards on duty. The guards open the gates without hesitation and even rush out to see if Llmryn needed assistance. He was carefully walked back to his room with a guard on each arm, laying him in his bed, before he passes out on the spot.

The Fifth House and School to Drow History, Val' Rilyniryn, Had been quiet for far too long. Lord Llmryn myself had not seen anyone in person sense the leaving of Marton Eclivice and the only ones on the House grounds now are just the twenty personal guards that keep watch. In the underdark, inactivity is a sign of weakness, asking for looters and power hungry house leaders to be lining up at your doorsteps. But in this case, it was quite different.
The school year has ended for now, and the halls and grounds have grown silent without the presence of the students. And out of the hundreds of students that entered the school, about sixteen of them never made it home. But that's common enough isn't it? Missing drow and back ally murders are daily life in the society we live in...and that's just it. Who is going to miss only sixteen? It's what one can call, acceptable loss.
Deep below the school branch of the grounds, Llmryn steps down a case of well carved marble stairs. As he steps off the last of the steps, he enters his personal underground lab. As of now, he is the only one to know of this part of the school, and would gladly act in any way needed to keep it that way.
The lab is very spacious, walls of stone and decorated with the finest of crafted marble. The lab it lit the same was as the school and house, with the pipe line and self casting rune system he created. Many table, viles, torture racks, dissection tools, and green liquid filled tubes are places around the room. To anyone that ever did see the horrors of this room, it would be obvious that some true atrocities had been committed here. Even the cruelest of drow may turn away from the sight of these experiments.
He walks over to the first of the tubs that line the walls to the right and left of the room from where you would enter. There were twenty-one tubes in all, teen along each wall and then one at the center of the room. But for now, only sixteen had occupants. He watched as the victim inside was forced to be keep alive and unconscious while an long tube, that was attached at neck and drilled deep into the brain between the cerebellum and brain stem. The cord ran from each tank and then fed into small viles on the far back fall from where you would enter.
"Well then, my lovely students...what is it you will teach me this day?" He moved over to his favorite of the work tables, where his research journal lay open. "If I can perfect even one working prototype...I can finally drop my little act for all the little puppets of this city." He read over his notes and checked his new logs, as he would everyday he would come down to the lab. In truth, he had a, somewhat, working, prototype of his newest experiment, but it was not one he was willing to use on himself. And that was the trouble. There is always bound of be consequences...when you try to steal from the Gods.

The grounds had grown silent if the absence of Lord Llymrn, not even small vermin were seen in the halls. Something terrible must of happened at some point. Well trained eyes would see that many daily lives of students where suddenly interrupted. Books lay open on many desks in the school. Lab books littered the tables in the research and development rooms. Student and teacher belongings alike lay in the halls. Something silent, and troubling befell this place.
After all this time, no one, other than a few daring children, dared to set foot past the front gates. Not only that, but with Lord Llymrn also nowhere to be found, no questions about this have been able to be answered. Few say Llmryn somehow took the lives of all these drow and vanished to escape punishment for his acts. But, most say he vanished just like everyone else.
Now, out of nowhere and just as obvious and noticeable as a drider on a city street, all the lights of the main house lit up. Even the four guardian watch towers groaned and shifted about as dust fell from the very bricks that constructed them. A familiar figure, the living manifestation of this house's history, stood once more at the gates. His deep purple silk shirt was a signature piece of apparel for the master of this house. Lord Llmryn Val' Rilyniryn had once again shown his face in this city. And with his return, he brings with him just as many questions as he had left the city with.

For the time being, he returned home. Rather pleased with himself, and not currently aware of his actions already being discovered, he walked into his office and sat in his seat behind the desk. That seat was his favorite place to think, work, and to marvel in his own genius. Any that spend an elongated period of time with Llmryn would know that he is truly brilliant, but is way too aware and proud of that fact. Most drow are guilty of the sin of greed, just as many guilty of the sin of lust, but Llmryn's greatest sin was Pride.
He went over his future plans in his head, he knew that if he wasn't already informed, it was only a matter of time before Valatar was completely informed on his return to the city and his actions there after. Question is...would he support or damn Llmryn for his experiments. There was also the possibility that Valatar would kill him and try to take the research for himself. But that would be killing the golden goose in this case. Though useful, the False Blessings was far from complete...for now.
