Though the woman set a calm pace which demonstrated she was in no hurry, the man beside her was clearly restless. Already the pair could hear distant voices and within a matter of moments they'd come close enough to make out the words. As they listened they heard someone shouting about focusing on a white man, apparently adamant to know about him. And with every step they were drawing closer to the darkness ...
The woman was either completely oblivious of it or did not care about it but the man's evident anxiousness was show cased. He watched warily in front of him and drew closer to the woman's side, preparing in case of a need to defend her. His instincts were screaming at him to turn and flee but his duty was to what he'd been assigned as was hers. He would not abandon it just as she never would.
'Calm now, Sasha. There is no reason for your tenseness, it will only distress those ahead.'
The man was not comforted by the words in his mind and if anything he grew yet more tense. He did not like this place, it was too cold ... Something had happened here just as Alteria had said but what he couldn't tell. It did not smell pleasant and the left overs of whatever this aftermath was discomforted him.
Finally they drew upon the two who'd been conversing and as the man prepared for confrontation, the woman with the glazed over eyes of frost simply stared blankly ahead. She could hear well enough where the voices were coming from but even though she could not see, she did not wish to stare.

Far from the group, deeper in the destroyed underground base, blocks of rubble began to move and shack. A white clawed hand slowly dug through the ash and concrete. Slowly a winged being became visible in the dimly light caverns that were once halls as he pushed his entire body to the surface. His white armored skin shown the red lines and markings brightly in the darkened area.
His eyes opening to a vibrant silver display as he looked through the area. Seeing no sign of life within the direct area he started to slowly walk down what was left of a hall. Stopping he let out a cry that was unlike any animal on the planet, his wings and many tails extended and went rigid till the cry went silent. His body changing into that of a human, but his eyes stayed a bright silver as he continued to walk.

Jaden twitched as he detected so many living things in this barren place. It felt more like they were closing in on them. Turning in the directions of the sounds the wolf suddenly let out a furious roar. It was not as impressive as it should have been in full Lycan form, but it conveyed what he was and his means as his throat elongated with muscle and sinew. It was the equivelant of the wolf going from zero to fifteen in under a second. The wolfs volume and intesity was a primal reaction, it said to those that understood such behavior "Everything within my senses is my domain. You are intruding in my domain." Straight alpha behavior.
The aged demon shuddered at the sounds he was hearing, demonic cries and primal roars. What had befallen upon the city? What gateway to hell had been opened here?

The demon heard the roar and started to move toward it at a normal human rate. His interest were pecked but he had no idea what to expect. As he got closer to the surface he could feel the presence of four other beings, one female with a male moving deeper into the destruction, one lager life force near a smaller one who were stationary.
As walked his path was blocked by a pile of ruble that was once the halls ceiling. Looking up he saw the stationary group was not two but three, one a faint demonic life force. walking up slightly onto the fallen ceiling he taps the part above him ever so slightly blowing it out above him. Before the rest of the ceiling to could he jumped into the hall above and started continued on his way up. His eyes looked through the cement and metal giving him an over view of what was new around him. Bodies of both human and immortal lay around him more human then anything. He just continued on his way treating it as if it was a normal occurrence to have such things around.

Politely but not intrusively, the female disregarded the dominant alpha lycan's conveyed warning to her and stood her ground. Either she hadn't heard the warning or was completely desensitized to it for the woman barely reacted at all, her hands coming up to adjust the perfect bow around her neck in the slightest. Her stance unchanged conveyed her feelings on the matter: she wasn't coming to claim any territory but she wasn't going to leave upon aggression shown toward her either. Her mannerisms were more human than wolven, she wasn't here to engage in a power struggle.
The young man a few feet in front of the woman restrained from unleashing his own feral roar as well as the temptation to bear his teeth to the aggressor. However, he remembered his place and quickly stood back beside the woman to show that he had taken her stance on the matter. He was not here for any other reason than because he was supposed to be here.
"I hope words are not beyond us," the blind woman proceeded to speak, "Jaden. We're here simply to investigate what you seem to be currently investigating yourself. Furthermore, we aren't so much concerned with the cold one that was recently through here but the fallen one who seems to have taken root within the darkness. He has children about already and it is a fear that something more is transpiring here. We're detectives if you will, this is your territory but we will impede upon it if it serves our purposes. I hope you can understand that. If not, that is unfortunate."

Duke yawned at everything around him. Jaden's roar did nothing to him nor did the fainter one from farther ahead. In fact, Duke now had what he wanted. He patted Jaden's shoulder, "Well then Jaden. I've got what I came for. Good luck with everything else." He stood up and walked past the female and male who claimed to be investigating as well. He gave them a I-know-something-you-don't smile and left to wander deeper hoping that his brother hadn't left the area yet.

Duke's smile was not at all captured by the blind woman that stood as she awaited Jaden's response and the man completely disregarded the smile and didn't even bother to give Duke the time of day by looking at him. The lycan was not either of their concern and so he easily escaped their notice without regard to his presence at all. After all, they were not here to play games and fool around nor were they here to be lured in by silly smiles from a wandering lycan.
Despite being blind the woman held herself with grace and dignity, she was sophistocated and suave beyond belief as she carried herself from point to point and her voice was equally seraphic. This woman was clearly all business and was not here to toy around. She had something she wanted to get done and that was what she intended to do.

((because all of my other profiles have been compromised I take them all under my master account.))
Jadens ears flicked as he watched Duke go before looking at the two new people. His red eyes glimmered as he looked them over. "You don't seem to understand how outmatched you are." he muttered darkly, "Against both enemies. But I've learned what I need to about my brother destroying this place, though I don't know his motivation."
The demon scrambled back a little furthur away from the wolf man. "So it was your sibling. No wonder I can feel the aura of a monster." Slowly he tried to rise to his feet, though he was still weak, having only just escaped death.
"Shut up." Jaden muttered, running a clawed hand over his face. "Yes, The Cold One is my brother, but his mind is not as mine is. He is more like the greatest chess player in the world compared to the most efficent killing machine. And for you people, I won't get in your way, but if you get in mine I will kill you."
The air in the burned out hideout slowly began dropping in temperature. It wasn't the same as something emitting cold, this was more just that the heat was gone, sucked out of the atmosphere and simply absent. As the feeling of absence grew stronger the remaining lights flickered as energy was drawn and sucked away from every available things. Before the oppressive aura had been down played, deep within the earth, disguised by the feeling of horrific death and destruction from the immortals and humans that had recently inhabited the area. It had been hiding in the earth, a useful tactic when you had no body, and death was an excellent cloak to an aura that could be even darker. The entity shook the ground as it rose, trying in vain to create some form of physical body. But it was a useless effort, with all the power sucked from the enviornment it still needed a host to materialize. So the dark shadow known as Nebiros called silently to its daughter, conveying the desire it possessed. When confronted by enemies it is best to attack straight on after all, especially when they had no hope of actually inflicting injury upon their target.

Finally getting on the same level as the others he comes around a corner to see the beings he had been so intently wanting to find. His body stood before them bare, expressionless face and silver eyes staring at them, now one down.

Duke frowned as he dug through the rubble. Stopping for a moment he asked himself, " A woman. He was with a woman that demon said. What woman? Why didn't he come find me, if he was out...why....didn't he come find me...Steffon....what are you doing...there's no way you're your human self because I'm not dead...obviously but only your old self would not come to me. Perhaps..." He grabbed a stone and crushed it to dust," I'm not even close to dieing so there's no way he could regain that part of him." Duke fell silent pondering this mystery.
Suddenly he jumped out of the hole he had dug and left the entire area. His brother was no longer here. It was time to look else where.

(( Sorry for taking forever to post. ^^; ))
"Very well. Hopefully we do not rise to such conflict or manage to hinder your path, where ever it may be but if such a time arises do not expect you will not be met with a challenge. Fall easily I refuse to." She nodded respectfully to him, even curtseying and then continued on her way to investigate further when the lights began flickering and she picked up an aura that belonged neither to the monster before her or the one that'd previously been here.
Upon everything that'd happened within the hasty few moments after her exchanging words with the alpha, the strange woman stopped and chose to remain with the group so as not to miss anything. A group was more likely to attract whatever it was that was coming as opposed to them splitting up. Perhaps this was what the fallen ones aura felt like, it certainly wouldn't surprise her, it was smothering and suffocating.

(( Okay, finally back in the guild for some reason even I do not know... I really should be posting at some other time than six in the morning without any sleep))
The hairs on Jaden neck bristled as he felt the oppressive aura flooding throughout the burned down base and out into the subway system. He had felt this before, or something similar to it. The association in his mind was enough to engage his fight or flight response. "You know we should go." he muttered, shuffling towards the nearest exit slowly. Whatever was there was coming from all directions so it was impossible to tell where would be safe. The wolf simply knew not to mess with something that had no visible body or weaknesses.
Power swelled in the subway systems as the fallen one rose. Nebiros, the black angel, was not in the mood to mess around with the lower life forms. Some inferior creature with aspirations of the fallen had stolen a great deal of potential power from it. Negativity crackled in the air flowing through the tunnels and the building materials as it reached out.
"Oh boy. Someone's made the lord angry." Stated a bubbly blond girl in a Catholic uniform and pigtails that had suddenly appeared next to the Lycan Alpha.
Jaden blinked and reflexively swung out at the girl, missing barely. The impossible had just occurred. Someone, or something, had just entered near dead center of his zone of perception without registering at all. His zone of perception that was knitted together with all five of his vastly superior senses was probably the greatest on east coast of this country without the aid of psychic or spiritual enhancements.
"Someone else is grumpy other than the master." the blond muttered, swaying cutely in her skirt. "You guys probably want to leave now before Mandy gets here and lets the master cut loose. Might even bring back my sexy puppy Steffon to play with you too."
