*Bullet was hudled with his mares, a stack of hot breath rising into the air and cooling, dissapearing. The five were miserable, even the wild stallion was low in his spirits. The distant whinnies reached the small herd, and he lifted his head. Backing away from the mares he set into a gallop, not looking back to see wether or not they were following him. Three mares straggled behind him, his first mare galloped along after him, while Redolent and Duchess trotted alongside one another. Molly walked alongside Sylvia who was limping terribly, shaking violently and ever second was filled with a torment of pain and agony. Her skin was exposed, most of her coat had never grown back. Her mane was hardly existant, as was her raggedy tail. She limped slowly, her head hung low, her eyes droopy and watery. What little coat she had was dull and thin, even for a winter coat. The farmer had been meaning to clean up his old shotgun and take her a few miles away from the house, he knew how she had suffered.*
*As the straggling mares grew farther and farther from the rest, they eventually stopped, the filly could go no further. Bullet, too, stopped but not with his straggling filly. He watched quietly the two light horses calling to each other. As he noticed a few mares had not come with him, he sniffed the air and listened for them, but as a call came from the two white horses he turned to them once again, snorting quietly as he smelled not only the scent of unfamiliar horses, but also of a stallion.*

Moon snorted, finally able to see this new stallion. She pawed at the ground again, arching her neck gracefully and returned the nicker. She moved away from her sheltered refuge and out into the open to greet the stallion. She stopped a few yards away and introduced herself. "I am Moon, and you, stallion?" She asked him. Her ears flickered to where she thought she could hear more approaching hoofbeats.

He brought his head up to sniff the crispy air, and his ears shot back behind his ears. He wheeled around and saw a stallion standing looking at them. He brought himself onto his hind legs kicking out at the sky. As he landed he turned a little bit to Moon. "Run." Was all he said, and then charged Bullet, his head low ready to hit him. He wasn't going to let some stallion defeat him, and he shurly wasn't going to let Bullet take Moon.

*Bullet, offended, bit at the stallion's throat and face, squealing angrily. His remaining mares backed away, nervous and upset at the sudden action, never used to this kind of behavior.*
*Molly sniffed about the dead filly's body. She nudged and nuzzled but nothing brought the already cold carcass back to life. Her skin was frostbitten, purple and blue. By the next morning, she would be too frozen and cold for even the cyotes to take intrest in. Possibly even burried in the snow.*

He slammed into Bullet's side, forceing him to back up, charging him again, and biting his neck at the same spot where Bullet bit him, blood spilling to the ground. He snorted angerily, his nostrils flareing, pawing the ground.
Saphire grazed under a tree. She could see some odd horses fighting off in the distance. Guessing it was both stallions she returned to her grazing. She wasn't a big fan of fights, so she slowly drifted to a sleep.

*Bullet backed away, spinning around and bucking at the stallion angrily, his icy hooves leaving frostbitten marks on the white stallion's chest and neck, knocking the breath out of him. He stopped and faced the winded stallion, teeth bared.*

Stumbling backwards, the stallion tried to keep himself balance. Bullet was going to get what he deserved, which he was lucky, since it wasn't death what he was earning. This was just a warning. Tossing his head, he threw himself against the stallion, kicking at him with his hooves, hitting him on his shoulder and chest.

*The blue stallion reared, standing on his hind legs, ears pinned and his front legs drooped. He held his head high, occassionally pawing to keep his balance, stepping around slightly.*
So I can't even so much as look at you without being challenged? Who do you think you are? This is my territory, you best back off!
*his body was sillouetted perfectly against the blinding snow, breaking up the stillness and locking his knees, slamming his hooves into the white stallion and letting his weight lean against it's chest.*

He snorted loudly and bucked violently into Bullet's chest, and close to his head. Actually very close to his head. Pinning his ears back, he lashed out at him.
The stallion backed up a little once Bullet had gone off him, after he bucked him. "And what would be the next step from looking at a stallion and mare?" He bowed his head, and then reared up. "Stay away from her." Was all he said. He didn't kick his hooves at Bullet, or neither charge him. As he came down, he snorted loudly, before galloping away, heading towards Moon. He knew all the steps to after a stallion looking at another stallion and mare. Challenge. Kill. Steal. It was simple.

*Bullet blew hot breath from his muzzle, clear in the cold winter air. He called back to the stallion, tauntingly*
Are you crazy? That old mare is too much trouble for my intrest. I wouldent take her if she was crawlin on a big pregnant belly, starved and dying!
*Bullet turned his head, looking towards the farm he knew that flashy War would be residing. He galloped off, his mares soon following.*

As they galloped off their seperate way, the albino slowed himself down to a trot as he neared Moon, his head high, his ears foreward. Ingoreing the blue stallion, of his comment, he started to relax, now that he knew Bullet was gone, but didn't leave his eye from Moon.

Chaska wondered about the snow covered pasture. She now looked rather shaggy as her winter coat had grown in. The snow made a few of the older horses grumpy, but she contiuned to tease them. Snow was her favorite kind of weather and so she was even more hyper and playfull.
Saka pulled against the rope and bucked. Even the snow didn't stop the humans from trying to break her. She was being dragged to some new place, up the town road. The ropes halter around her face burned the soft skin as she pulled away. She reared neighing loudly and flinging her hooves at the nearst horse.

((Sorry, sorry, sorry! I went to my dad's over Christmas break and he didn't have his laptop connected, so I didn't have internet access all week. >.< ))
Moon snorted her eyes on the white stallion, his white coat now bloodstained in places from his wounds. She snorted, having no intention of just submitting to this new stallion, but she was curious. She suddenly pirouetted away from her treeline and bolted away into the open lands, vanishing into the snow. She turned her head to look and see if he would follow, one ear swiveled in front of her the other trained on behind her.
