I owe my knowing them to Hot Topic, my friend Crystal, and my curiousity...back in the day when I was an idiotic loser, I used to see all kinds of HIM stuff in Hot Topic and I thought Ville looked like a girl, (Razorblade Romance stuff) and I used to say, "HIM? More like a her!" redface and I'd laugh...but I saw the heartagram...and I wondered what it was, I was like, Well its the HIM symbol (First saw it on a HIM poster >.<) Then I drew it on a peice of paper when I got home and asked my brother about it...all he knew was he'd seen it around. THEN my good friend Crystal started liking HIM, and sent me the Join Me (ice version) music video and I fell in love smile
P.S. I didn't know who Bam was until about five or six months after loving HIM, I only watched his show to see HIM on it lol >.<

Well, I owe it all to one of my friends. She got one of their c.d.s for me on my birthday. Ever sense then, I've been obsessed with the band and Ville Valo. I even did a term paper on Ville Valo and HIM.

Well, my uncle gave me a burned CD.
He said "You gotta take a listen!" so I did.
Most of it was CKY, but it had my first three HIM songs.
It was love at first listen.
I still have the CD.

Well, I owe it to one... er actually two of my friends. One had just bought Dark Light and told me about how awesome they were. I was intrigued and thought I would take a listen. I did and I fell in love. Then another friend let me borrow some of his other CDs (at the time I had kinda thought DL was their only album) and I just had to hve them.
Ever since then I've loved HIM. biggrin

Mine is a strange case. I actually went to read somthing by one of my favorite FanFiction Authoress and lo found she wasn't writing in anything but RPS and I couldn't not read it, so I had to find out who these lame-o's were. Then I found out they weren't lame and in fact that HIM was quite cool, and I started finding an interest in Bam at that time as well.

I was simply flicking through the music channels on the our cable and came across a request show where this girl was whinging because this band were never ever played here. They played the video clip and the moment Ville opened his mouth and the sounds of Join Me bounced aroudn my parent's house I was hooked...
That was five years ago. >.<

I blame my freind Sin, whom I met here on Gaia. She went to a concert a long time ago, talking about this band called HIM. About a month later, I saw Rip Out the Wings of a Butterfly on MTV and recognized the band name. After that, I went out of my way to find junk on them, videos, pictures, etc., and here I am. With almost all their CDs and obsessively drawing Ville's eyes and face. sweatdrop
I even made a poster. gonk heart

Definitely, there was a special moment when I was watching TV, it was a kind of not so good performance at Top of the Pops but it was magic to me back then.They performed Gone with the Sin and that was just the thing I was surching for.

I credit FUSE and slightly my friend, Nicole. I watched Rip out the Wings Of A Butterfly on FUSE and I so happened to be recording it at the moment and I looked HIM up on the computer and soon it led to a obsession....

my friend chealsea (who lives in england), im'ed me one day and was all like "omg that HIM concert totally blew my mind....*insert fangirling over ville's and linde's hotness*" and i'm like "who's HIM?" and she was like "only the best band in the world!" and she sent me some pics and a few songs to listen to. instant addiction.

I saw the Join me video on tmf ( is a dutch music channel) And I instantly loved Ville's voice. So I decided to buy the album.
and about four years later I saw them live for the first time and since then I'm a huge fan.

My Friend Sean, his a huge fan of the band and one day when i was over at his place he was trying to get me into heaps of bands. One of the songs he played for me was 'The Sacrament' and i fell in love!! after that i went n brought the first HIM album i could find and it all went from that ^^

My brother had "Wings of a Butterfly" on his iPod and after I listened to it once, I loved it.
Soon after, I noticed that my coworker had a belt buckle with the Heartagram on it. We would talk about music pretty frequently as we both liked similar types and she burned the albums, Razorblade Romance, Dark Light, and Love Metal.
This past weekend, I downloaded the other two albums. heart
