"Sheesh, loners," the man muttered, casting a glance at Gabriel and Marcus, before turning to the others. "Anyone feel friendly?" he inquired.
"I feel sick," Alyx risked opening her mouth long enough to say. She was decidedly green. The boatman laughed.
"Ah, my first trip into the sewers was so alike yours. Except I actually threw up. Onto an agent. He wasn't too happy with me," the boatman reflected, then shrugged. "Seriously, guys, check your weapons while you have the chance. We'll be there in maybe twenty minutes, and I don't know what we'll run into down here."

Shae took the boatman's advice and decided to check his guns. Unholserting them from where they hung at his hips, he opened both the chambers by tapping the guns together. They popped open with a click. He glanced in. "Yep. Locked and loaded." He flicked his wrists and the chambers shut.

Gabriel sighed, he knew his guns were loaded but was compelled to check anyway, "Yup, all loaded." he said to himself.

Cado checked his Longshot and grenades. He smiled. "I have everything I need ready."

((You do realize the Colt 1911 is a semi-automatic pistol, correct, Joe?))
Alyx reluctantly checked her Five-seveN, pulling back the slide, found it unloaded, and snapped it all the way back, then released it with a schink. The boatman nodded his approval, then kicked up something from behind his wheel column - a G3. He cocked it with a load ka-chunk-c***k. "Everybody good?"

"We have awfully loud guns," Cado observed.

Gabriel nodded, "You're right, and I didn't bring my silencers..."

The boatman shrugged. "I'm not coming with you, first of all. And second of all, don't shoot unless you have to. Which you shouldn't, unless they've drawn a gun or you have a bead on the target. Simple enough. Shouldn't need to be doing any shooting for a while yet."

Cado nodded, checking his Glock 18 machine pistol. "Well, we're not gonna shoot random civilians or animals or walls or whatever."

((Hmmm, should we wait for Asuka? I think we can wait a single day.))

.: sorry for the absence...i've been studying for the PSATs and it's driving me insane -_- :.
Amelie had silently gone along with the others. While everyone locked and loaded their guns, Amelie simply checked the large sniper rifle that she carried on her back, along with the attatchments that she carried in a duffel bag kept to her side.
"We so should have brought silencers...not that I'd be able to get ANYWHERE close to the target anyway. Just a quick in and out." Amelie smiled deviously, that same childish smile that she used to lower someone's guard.
"C'est tres facile." Amelie stated matter-of-factly. "Piece of cake."

"I doubt I need to comment on the wisdom of using a sniper rifle from close range," Cado replied with a chuckle.

"It's not smart." agreed Gabriel with a smile. He had his own rifle, Hail Mary, in his lap and was running his hand along it's barrel, "Unless you're really good." he finished with a smirk.
