"Un what?" he asked, then shrugged and ripped a bite off of the piece he held with his teeth. "See, it's good."
(dang, cutter was waiting till he finished his hunt, and is now having too much fun spying on them to interrupt!)

"Fire?" said with almost a shudder. "humans burn their meat. they use fire to burn meat....and worse..." his eyes took on a hard edge as he looked away.

She frowned "Well not all fire is bad... look at the stars. And I don't burn my meat... I like it warmed though..."

"what do the stars have to do with fire?" he asked, almost angerly.
Okay, Cutter thought. Time to intervene. He took the capnut he'd been holding, and threw it sharply at Skywise's shoulder from behind... and up.
Skywise spring up standing, drawing his dagger.... before falling back to all fours, he looked up angerly then his eyes widened. *Tam?* he sent privately
*It's me,* Cutter confirmed in a private sending, then he hopped down from the tree and grinned at Calestra (Did I get her name right?) "Don't mind my brother, he has the manners of a Go Back."

Caelestra blinked at the new comer and smiled "Thats fine... it might be more amusing if I knew what a Go Back was" She paused "I take it your the family he was looking for?"

Cutter grinned and cut himself a large chunk of meat. He took a bite. "Looking for us? I see a pretty girl, and a fresh kill. Don't look for us too hard now, or you might pull something."

She blushed a bit "He was very worried about you... " She eyed his hooves "Though I suppose now he can't teach you the hooves as hands thing he was so excited over.."

"how did you figure it out anyhow?" Skywise asked him, mildly annoyed seeming, but also clearly glad to see Cutter.
"Ember. Leetah and I were trying to figure out what happened, and to watch for dangers, and Ember decided to hunt the bug she found, so she gathered some rocks and started throwing them at the thing. Good shot. She's almost got aim as good as Strongbow." He chuckled. "Almost."
"how big was that bug?" Skywise asked, alarmed.
"Bug sized. Why?"
"And Ember thought it worthy of hunting?"
"Practice I guess. It's not like she'd wielding a dagger yet, so tall deer are out." He laughed then saw Skywise wasn't laughing. "Skywise?"
"There's plenty of food, why not bring the cubs and Leetah to share, we can swap stories."
Cutter nodded, eying skywise oddly.

She watched their interaction with interest, Skywise seemed happy to see his 'brother' again. Frankly she was thrilled they were actually HERE.. she had been worried they wouldn't find the others in his tribe. Of course now she felt a bit out of place and wondered if she should leave them be...
