After resting awhile as a cat, even having a student scratch my ear, I looked around warily and morph back. The change took a toll on my body, so I stretched, cracking my back. I sat on the ledge this time, watching people go by. Waiting could be so dull, but waiting for Richard made me feel all smiley. I still couldn't wait for tonight! He was going to use me as a model! I felt honored!

Dae Dae "My friend?" Even in his state of shock, that word friend drew his attention. He had no friends, but that was not hard to do when no one showed an interest. He'd never actually had to turn down a friendship before. But what good would he be to any friend? He kept to himself and avoided speaking very much because he was still deathly afraid he'd be tempted to talk about... a very irrational thing. Well, there was no harm in trying it, was there? Most likely the artist would become bored or annoyed with Gene all on his own long before Gene had to worry about saying anything he ought not to. This time a faint smile does tug at Gene's lips. "My name is Gene. We ought to know names if we are friends now." [[quoting because it was pages back]] "Richard," I said just as the lunch bell rang, "You wanna get lunch with me, I can show you some of my drawings if you want, and you could tell me about your hobbies," I smiled getting up from the seat. I didn't really want him to feel like I was horrible or anything, and he probably thought I was, "I'll buy you lunch? What you like?" I scrammbled round in my pocket before pulling out a few $20 notes.

Baralai quietly walked into the cafeteria and sat down near the farside of the large room, and openned his lunch bag. Today he had a tunafish sandwich an apple and a water bottle. He just began eating quietly.

"I do not have any hobbies." Gene admits quietly as he scoops up his books and slips them into his backpack. He was slightly embarrassed that he really could think of nothing. There was really nothing he ever did for enjoyment. "My parents supply me with food for lunch, but I will eat with you. I will catch up? I must stop at my locker." He was surprised Richard had even offered. They had decided to be friends less than five minutes ago. It hardly seemed rational for Richard to potentially waste money on this friendship.

Alice had managed to say "Oh, sorry I'm late, to meet a teacher. See you later." She scurried into the science class, still kind of shocked about the hug. Her eyes scanned the room, then it hit her no kids where in the classroom, the lunch bell had already rang Drat! I just skipped science class. She went up to the teacher, and started figuring out what the work that was due tommorow. Afterwards, she practically ran to the cafeteria. "Man, am I going to be running all over the place this year." she sighed, as she ran she saw the girl who hugged her earlier. But, she ignored the fact and kept running. When she arrived, she ran her fingers thorugh her hair and smiled, lunch was her favorite part of the day. She went through her messanger bag and found her black and white wallet. She walked up to the counter.

I smiled again, "Well, I'll buy you anything else you might want," I nodded out the door, "I'll go to your locker will you," I thought for a moment, "That's if you want to, and will find you hoobies, there's this really intresting girl, and sure she'd love to meet you, she likes new people,"

I kicked my heels against the ledge. I was getting hungry, I did only have coffee today. My mind wondered off, thinking of what Connor was up to. I jumped off the ledge and went inside to eat. I spotted Richard and beamed. "YAY! My favorite person!" I almost tackled him to the ground. I have to be more careful.

Gene gave a small, nervous smile but was unable to answer before a girl suddenly ran and leaped onto Richard. Gene took a step closer to his new friend, determined to help drag the crazy girl off, but then he stopped and thought better of it. They seemed to know one another. Perhaps this was normal for them? Quite confused and lacking anything to say, Gene continued to his locker and retrieved his lunch before returning to Richard and his girl friend.

I let go of him, embarassed at my action. "Sorry. I didn't mean to startle you." I looked over a the boy standing close to Richard. "Where are my manners!" I slapped my head with my palm, looking over at the cute new boy. "I'm Rae! What's your name, sweetheart?"

Gene looks behind him, fully expecting to see someone else Rae could be calling sweetheart. When he sees no one, he gives her a puzzled look. "Me? Gene." Rae was entirely more enthusiastic than anyone he had ever met. Gene glanced to Richard, though he had no idea what he expected the other boy to do or say.

I laughed. Gene seemed really sweet! "It's really nice to meet you, Gene!" I linked my arms through both of the boys' arms. "Well, I don't know about you guys, but I am starving!!" I dragged them along to the cafeteria. "I hope you don't mind if I eat with you guys. I promise to behave myself!" I said the last part with a blush, knowing I'd embarassed myself enough today.

Gene was dragged along with no resistance. He was still just overall stunned by Rae which made it entirely too easy for her to do as she liked with him. Gene just nodded numbly at Rae's promise to behave. He was not even entirely certain what she meant, though he supposed at the very least she would not jump onto anyone else. That was a good thing; Gene could not at all imagine how he might react if the girl had nearly tackled him. "Is this her?" Gene asked suddenly of Richard. "The really interesting girl?" He supposed he would describe her as that. Also energetic and enthusiastic, but those were interesting, after a fashion.

"Ah, ok see you later then..." She said half turning herself "I guess I'll see you later, too" She told Connor. She turned and left. She only got down the hallway before the lunch bell rang. Elaine gave a short sigh of relief. Her stomach had been growling all morning long (A blush came to her face as she remembered how embarrassing it was). Now she could eat! She half- skipped/half-walked to the cafeteria, singing softly to herself all the way to the cafeteria. She could already hear a familiar song through the clamor of the cafeteria. Elaine scanned the cafeteria and finding its source, sat next to the boy dressed in black. "Hello," She began "Can I sit here?" A pretty dumb thing to ask when she was already sitting.
