Skie kept her perch atop the water tower that over looked the tower. She used her high powered binoculars to follow the progress of Taratheil to his father's office. While she knew he would appreciate the information, she wasn't so sure he would be happy about his eldest son owing her a debt of any kind. She was curious as to how he would handle the situation created of his youngest son however. It was really rather stupid of the boy to contact her out of all his choices.

Taratheil tossed the envelope on his father's desk "Special delivery Father" he said with a wry smile. Krillion looked up from a list of debters that had tried to get out of town. Sadly, for them anyway, they never made it to far. Darn roadblocks "What?" the old elf asked, picking up the envelope and opening it. "Some female called me and said something about me owning her a debt now...." Taratheil said, leaning on his father's desk and crossing his arms. Krillion's face became even paler when he saw what was inside. He pulled out the info, along with the names of the one who placed the hit, and the one who was the target "Taratheil, go get your brother Keifler...." he said calmly, though his eyes were blazing.
Darianel sighend and watched the last of the games end, the winner tossing a fifth of his winnings into the collection tin, as was it curdosy to pay the Ring Master for his space. How boring, the day is over, the games are done, and Mother is still locked in her room, thinking up ways to kill those rebels he thought, a deep sigh working its way up his throat. He caught it and killed it when one of his escorts appraoched him. "Um, boss, you know that high-roller that never showed?" he began, shifting from one foot to the other. Darianel nodded and leaned back in his 'throne', which sat on a raised dias at one end of the gambling hall. The escort shifted anxiously again. "Well, he was......killed, by some crazy b***h, a mercenary or somthin like that. She came out of nowhere and shot him twice in the head...." he looked up at Darianel, who was still watching him coldly "I stashed him in a broom closet until...well, until I could tell you without disturbing any of the other players...."

Skie smirked as she watched through the binoculars. Pulling out her cell phone the phone on Krillion's desk rang. She watched and as soon as he picked it up she spoke. "You're welcome. Taratheil speaks the truth though, a debt is owed." She noticed the brothers walking down the hall towards their father's office. "We can speak more after you deal with the boy. I have more information, at a price of course." She waited for his answer, she generally didn't, but it didn't pay to be rude to one of her best customers.

Krillion's face flushed angrily "I do not understand this, why do you break your own rules in this game?" he asked, anger apparent. He did not wish to see either of his sons dead, but Keifler was in need of dire punishment.

Skie rolled her eyes. "Would you rather I just kill the boy then?" The cocking of a sniper was heard over the line. "It would be child play for me. I break no rules Krillion. Money is what rules my dicissions. You know this as well as any. You are my best customer, the business I would loose had I simply accepted the hit would be greater than the money offered for the hit. I shared the information with you because the boy thinks me a fool and would not hesitate to hire another were he not stopped." She smiled as she watched his face through her scope now. "An answer Krillion, after all, the boy is in my sights."

Krillion sighed "I'll pay you to take out Keifler now, so I don't have to see his face when I kill him..." he said, sadly sighing. He hung up, knowing she'd accept the job. He always paid.
Taratheil smiled at his brother "Hello Keif, been a few days since I last saw you around here, been hanging with the ladies downtown huh?" he asked, nudging his brother playfully, who was smiling at him nervously, as if he was in shock and anger at the same time.

"Done." Skie said as she placed the phone in her pocket. She watched Taratheil and for the first time felt a pang of guild. He wasn't innocent, but he wouldn't see this coming. Judging from his behavior he was not as hardened as his father. She pulled the trigger, but didn't bother running, knowing the guards would not come after her as it was Krillion who hired her. She had awaited till Taratheil had moved forward to open the door for his brother, his back turned and far enough away that the blood would not get on him. Innocent he may not be, but he deserved at least the curtisy of not being dirtied with the blood of one who would betray him.

After hours in the bar, Kai had slipped out. Breathing in the night air he looked up at the sky. Turning, his cloak swirling behind him, he turned onto the street he had been on eariler... the one with the candy stores. Kai's mind swirled with all he had learned today, but he trusted the Mistress above all else. Her family had taken him in and raised him, and he would do anything they commanded. Kai stopped outside of the candy store he had gone into today, he looked as if he had just been frozen. What if...?

((I've put time lapses into my posts, so that's why i didn't post until now.)) Rem finished checking out the lesser tunnels and went up to the surface. He looked up and saw his prey. Now which is more important, finding Kai or dealing with one who trusts me least.
Hinata sat in the bar, chatting away with Kai for a few hours, before he left. She left soon after, not knowing that one of her brothers would be dead soon. Hinata walked in the opposite direction of Kai, passing by a vampire.I haven't seen many of them, these days. I wonder what happened.

Kai tensed, smelling the vampire. He whirled, hissing as he pulled his gun. Kai seethed. "You should know it's not nice to lie." Kai stated coldly, his gun leveled at Rem. "I wouldn't move if I were you... I had this gun specially made during the Blood Wars." he allowed a small evil smile. "So it would be in your best interest to stay very, very still." The light from the candy store threw Kai's lengthened the shadow starkly across the sidewalk.

Taratheil heard the gunshot, as did Krillion. But Krillion didn't hear the dull thump that Keifler's body made when he hit the floor. Taratheil didn't turn around. He could see the blood splatters on the wall next to him. He could smell the coppery tang of his brother's blood. He could hear the silence that should have been broken by Keifler's breathing. "K-Kief?" he said, gripping the door knob tightly. There was no answer.

Skie watched closely through the scope. She frowned when Taratheil still had not moved. She quickly dialed Krillion's number. "You're son is showing symptoms of shock. Open the door and do not let him see his brother. Show him why the hit was ordered. For someone so deeply involved in our world, he has an amazing degree of innocence. I will still hold him to that debt however. My information comes with a price." She hung up the phone, leaving the fact that she would be watching to ensure Krillion did as she had said.

Krillion sighed and stood, going to open the door. Before he could make it, it was thrown open and Taratheil tromped in angrily. His face was flushed and his fist were clenched "Father! Why did you not warn me!?" he yelled angrily. Krillion stared at his son blankly. "What?" he asked curiously. Taratheil waved his hand behind him "What did Keifler do to deserve death?" he asked in reply. Krillion pulled the sheet off of his desk, handing it to Taratheil slowly, speaking while he did so "He hired a bounty-hunter to take you down son, and in doing so, incured the wrathe of his father and the whole of his power, me" Krillion relinquished the paper with apprhension. Taratheil stared at it for a second, gathering what he could from the printed words.
