Westonian Exactly. Though I was thinking more along the lines of turning that same air into acid. I had the same idea, myself, but mostly because acid was something I COULD make out of air with a serious amount of Aberrant tweaking. That nitric acid from chem lab that gave me the ugly yellow spot on my finger for a week and a half is just HNO3. If it's a particularly humid day, I've got all the nitrogen and H2O I need. Then again, N2 is a veeeery inert compound because it's got a triple bond---anyway, I'm geeking out, but I have powers so I bet I could make it do something. xd Westonian Or you could go the Midas route and turn it to gold. No luck. Even with powers, gold's still an element. ;_; Westonian So long as you're at it, you could even mess with someone's body chemistry - maybe even your own? *reads dossier* Apparently not. That would have been hilarious come finals, though. KEVIN: *psst* Robin, we were up studying all night, why aren't you as zonked as I am? ROBIN: *squirrelly grin* I've converted a tiny amount of my blood into pure caffeine. domokun

Perhaps I'm the only one who isn't liking the flashback scenes so much. Hmm. The rest is quite good though. Even though you're spending plenty of time on letting us get to know the characters, the plot is still rolling along.

Moryera KEVIN: *psst* Robin, we were up studying all night, why aren't you as zonked as I am? ROBIN: *squirrelly grin* I've converted a tiny amount of my blood into pure caffeine. domokun YES. You oculd make me cappucino. Assuming I ever tell you I like it. xd O: SO. A new two chapters, eh? You're spoiling us. Very nicely done. It's refreshing to see the charactors more modern.

Not because I don't want people reading it, but because this thread is for Gendou's story, not mine. 3nodding

Something I've been wondering: What sort of ceramic is it that Rowan can turn herself into? Is it some form of preternaturally flexible boron carbide (the best candidate for a small arms-deflecting ceramic that I can think of) or is it some other ceramic? Or is it rather like adamantium in that it's a fictional ceramic?
I don't know why I feel compelled to ask; I just do.

Tangled Up In Blue I don't know why I feel compelled to ask; I just do. It's utterly and completely fictional. I tried to find a substance that would work, and I couldn't. So I was forced to make one up.

Heh, I do that, too. I try to explain things like magic and such in stuff I write so it makes at least rational sense, even if the characters using it have no idea what makes it work.

No, but if you put a needle nearby it to etch into it and have a conversation, the needle SHOULD pick up all the frequencys and then you can make out what was said. whee That's the only way I know sound could be bad for the dolly. :'3 Yey CSI.

I suppose it would be a ceramic with the amorphous qualities removed.
Anyway, been enjoying the latest chapters. The tricks in the gym caught my attention, but I liked the little political discussion much more. Really filled out characters' perspectives for me, that did.
Eeee, my mummy and daddy don't hate me for what I am! I like the idea that Aberrants have trouble procreating: nice little detail that.
Mory - er, yeah, chemical abilities could be damn fun whee .
As for BBEGs... well, our dear Director seems like a prat to begin with. Or it could simply be a rift forming among the students. Or, y'know, there was that potential foreshadowing of the aliens attacking.
For now, though, the random school interactions are keeping me amused and occupied enough. 3nodding
