The bard nearly jumped out of her skin as she watched that... that thing hurl itself at them, screaming like a banshee. Kary saw Varnis attempt to take it on and the most fitting song came into her head.

"They're locking up the sun, the light of reason gone,

The question's burning on, where is it coming from,
no-one seems to know the monster born..."

[[I love the Poets of the Fall so hard! heart So back to business, SA of course, using my attack to snatch up a potion and healing Varnis! ]]

The thing launches at you, giving nothing to avoid your attacks, but giving no quarter when it comes to damage either. It lashes out at anything that gets too close, but with none of the weapons this beast was sure to have been meant to carry, it's fists do nothing more than jar Varnis' armor or Lilith's more infernal defenses. Kary and Naamah however do not walk away unscathed, and were it not for Lilith's well-timed healing spell Karythelia wouldn't have withstood the powerful blows from the things claws, fists and kicks. Kary grabs one of the potions in response and with a silent prayer gulps it down. The potion turns out to be a potent healing potion...not that it's any more powerful, just that stewing for this long has made the liquid rather sour and...chewy...still works it seems, as it mends the worst of her wounds to barely-noticeable levels. The beast seems to heal as well, absorbing its severed limbs and regrowing them like it almost doesn't even bother it. Though you notice that the limbs it regrew are more stiff and overall are far slower than before.

Varnis: 27/30 (Heal Kary and Naamah)
Karythelia: 15/20 (Heal Naamah and potion/15 damage from beast)
Coralie: 15/15 (See Lilith)
--Lilith Hp: 27/40 (No damage)
--Naamah Hp: 17/25 (8 damage beast)

Tainted Screamer: -34/???
9 Damage (Varnis Attack)
2 Damage (Lilith Attack)
3 Damage (Naamah Attack)
10 Damage (Kary SA)
10 Damage (Lilith SA)

((Ah, it's not dead yet! A nice team up attack ought to take off a decent chunk right? Agreement? Yes? Would be calculated up to 4 attacks at 9. Plus an extra 12 if Varn gets lucky with the combat dice, could be up to 48 damage then. Course, I'll use the two heals I get to top of kary. I may also spend the other to up Naamah by 5. Having us closer to topped off can help keep acts of god out of the way since the mob could conceivably attack up to 20 times. So, will be back later to see our decisions and note down my combat round and maybe try again at the rp bit!))

((It would have...save for the thing has combat multitasker. Anyway, sorry for disappearing like that. They popped up some field exercise from no where and I had to be gone from Tuesday till Friday...then I was just tired. My bad, y'all. sweatdrop ))

Feeling better after being healed, Varnis charged at the thing one more time. Increasing his own attack, he hopped this thing would fall quickly.
