Anatoly looked at it as she wrote it. "Things are not always as they seem. I would assume this is some kind of stopover point. Maybe telling a contact we're on our way or maybe some secret passage. Hell, this, ah, bowling alley may be just what we can see on the surface. I would assume these guys have at least a little government backing and could do as much underground as they need to."

Osiris shook his head. "Home? Nah. This is the entrance to one of the Blazer squad headquarters." He turned to Anatoly and scoffed. "Government? No way. They don't know we exist. They tell the masses that we're fake." He stopped and raised a finger. "Ah. That reminds me. No one is to know that we are Blazers. Is that perfectly clear? That means no telling anyone, and no using your powers in front of civvies. Got it?"

Anatoly raised his eyebrow at Osiris. "Yes. Because lighting up your arms in the middle of a street was the most subtle action imaginable. Okay, a couple things bothering me. Earlier, you said something that made it sound like anyone could be a Blazer. You said I passed because I was clever - is there some sort of trick to your manner of thought or something to use a Mysticker like that? The second thing is, how are you getting industrial or military level Mystickers with no government backing or knowledge? Do you know how to make your own? Do you steal them? I mean, most of the time when there's an industrial-grade Mysticker in a factory, they have security out the a**. Why does what amounts to a private organization have them?"

Osiris tapped the side of his nose and smiled conspiratorially. "Ahh. See, I knew the street would be clear because I was prepared in advance for testing. Since that involved activating Blazer powers, then I needed people gone." He didn't mention that the other Blazers had been entirely unplanned. They didn't need to know that. "As for the other question, no. Not everyone can be a Blazer. There are a small amount of people that are born able to utilize Blazer powers. Without proper training and focus by the time they reach middle age, then the powers fade for good. The longer the people wait, the weaker their power and the more training they require. So, essentially, the younger the better. "The ways that we obtain our Mystickers is a carefully guarded secret. Naturally, that means I won't be telling you." With a happy grin, he turned on his heel and headed into the building.

Anatoly stopped next to the doorway, before going in against his better judgment, ignoring his quietly growling stomach. "So how do or did you know that I had any potential?"

Blaine walked alongside Osiris now, not really listening to Anatoly and Osiris' conversation. The first thing he noticed about the building that Osiris had gone through was the sidewalk, it was covered in cracks, Oh...damn... he thought to himself, his eyes widening in silent dismay. He cleared his throat, "Uh...is there another way in?" he asked quietly, looking for a way to bypass the sidewalk.

Osiris spoke over his shoulder without turning around. "I have an ability even more unique than being a Blazer. I'm a Blazer with extended sensory abilities. Basically, I can see when other people are Blazers, as well as the level of their strength. All by looking at them." He turned to Blaine, then sighed when he realized what he meant. He walked over, took his hand, and pulled his Light Mysticker out. He held it up to Blaine's face and activated it at mid-level. While he was blinded, Osiris pulled him forward into the building.

Anatoly had a brief, very serious internal debate on whether to inform Blaine that "THE GROUND IS LAVA!" but decided not to.

((sorry it took me so long to post, i had to finish this journalism story and an essay for my ap english class. razz ))
Emma stayed silent through all of this, trying to take in as much information as possible. Man, this is so confusing! And I was just supposed to have a relaxing day on the water today, too! Emma complained in her head. The only thing that kept her going was thinking of the thing that she wanted to fight, wanted to protect. All of a sudden, I feel like Aquaman, she thought as she giggled into her hand, walking behind the others.

((Gee, Anatoly is so kind, lol))
Blaine felt a rush of panic when Osiris blinded him, but realized what he was doing and fought the urge to resist. Blaine's vision restored itself awhile later and he was inside the building, he didn't look back for fear of realizing what he just did, "Thanks..." he said, a little disgruntled.

Osiris did a quick head count and nodded. "All right. Now-" His phone rang. "March of the Valkyries?" Anatoly asked. ((Venom gets it.)) Osiris shrugged and answered. He listened for about a minute before nodded and hanging up. "I've gotta take care of something. Here's how you get it: go all the way to the far right lane. Take the blue 13 pound ball. You have to get a strike within three tries. All right? I'll be back when you finish." With that, he turned and exited.

It occurred to Anatoly that he and Emma were the only ones who had spoken anything about themselves. He looked around for anything to jump onto when he would, ah, declare to Blaine what the floor was really made of. ((Or is he? And any Cabal players get that reference if they're keeping up. Which they should be.))

Blaine looked around, Thirteen pound ball, eh? he thought, looking around for such a ball while straightening others in their place and moving them so the numbers faced outwards. He found a thirteen pound ball, but it was pink, Nope, has to be blue.
((I get the reference biggrin ))

((Yeah, you're in Cabal too, and he was answering YOUR CHARACTER'S CALL. xd ))
Anatoly walked past one of the benches. He smiled. "The floor's lava!" he shouted, jumping onto the bench. He surveyed them for their reactions, also trying to locate the ball they were told to seek while he looked around.

((Lol, true...))
Blaine almost jumped when Anatoly announced the floor as "lava". "Uhuh, I'm not stupid." he said, though in reality he was resisting the slight urge to step up on something.
