Nightfall moved over to drape a foreleg over her shoulders. "well, being part of a pack means moment you can be a loaner, and moments... like this. Like it or not, you've just inherited friends."
Tyleet peeked through the underbrush, then curled against her mother.

Her lip twitched a bit "I can believe that about him.." Before becoming a wistful smile "And I can agree with that though I would think you would all be more wary on who you let in.. if you've been in as many dangerous times as I've heard of.."

"Ah, right the whole memory shift thing, when she brought Venka to the holt, she treed with Cutter, and when she got fed up that she couldn't pull him from missing you, she tried breaking his rules to get a reaction. When we finally...made it clear to her that we would do more then cutter would about her, she found pretext to leave, and left Venka with us." Nightfall smiled a bit. "Cute cub, I hope she's safe."

She grinned "Of course! Just because I was a loner doesn't mean I didn't want any friends. It just never seemed to work out for me." She shrugged, not really perturbed by that as she had always been a more 'go with the flow' kind of pony. She figured it would happen when it was meant to be.

"Magical ability is hardly a requirement to be family," Nightfall said with a laugh. "Leetah has magic, and so does Suntop and of course Redlance, but they are the few. Cutter, Skywise, myself, Ember, Strongbow, moonshade, Dewshine, scouter, treestump... I could go on all the night...."
