"Ah, I can hear you," Akio picked up Cale's head and placed it on his lap. "Why did you tell me this would happen? I don't want you to be in pain, you know." He stroked the fur on Cale's neck.

Akio sighed and flopped on his back. "I don't like to talk about it, but I have some issues about letting people go. I...get worried that people are going to leave me, and get protective. You really don't have to stay with me if you don't want to."

Cale stood and walked around to stand between Akio's legs before laying down with his front half pressing Akio's lower half down. "I won't go anywhere." He knew his weight was well and truly heavy on the other boy.

Finding the weight comforting, he ran his hands through the fur on Cale's back. "Good, 'cause I'd miss you too much." He scratched behind Cale's shoulder blades.

Cale rested his head down and took in Akio's scent. It was a lot stronger due to his being as animal
