Alphonse had been lying awake finding that he really was not so very tired despite having chased down Mallory and carried him home. That used to be quite the workout not so long ago; perhaps the boy was starting to accept that Alphonse would not allow him to leave. That would be a wonderful thing. He did tire of these silly chases. When Alexia woke, his undivided attention was immediately hers. He could feel her delicate little hands run up his chest to his neck. He rested one hand, large enough to hold both of hers most likely, at the small of her back. Despite the hard edge to her words, Alphonse could only be amused by them. "Mallory is always upset, ma petite belle. There is no satisfying him." The boy was probably pacing and fuming this very moment with hardly an idea what he was so angry about. Alphonse would have to speak with him, but not tonight. Certainly not at this moment; he was far too busy distracting himself with a kiss to Alexia's soft and tempting lips.

Alexia Kissed him again, stronger this time. "Why are you still here?" She asked between breaths. She would have expected him to leave her during sleep. He had always seemed like the kind of man who would leave. She pressed her self against him. Her delicate body was stone cold. She Ran her fingers threw his hair and latched on. In the back of her mind she could hear herself thinking, don’t be so forceful and don't let this get out of proportion. But she could not seem to control herself. Her breath quickened and she was desperate for reinforcement from his strong body. "It's not like I can give you anything." She gasped and kissed him again. She was trying to draw out the words she wished for.

Alphonse chuckles softy and curls one dark lock of hair around his index finger. "I am still here because I wish to be and you have expressed no wish to the contrary. It has been a while since I've had the opportunity to hold a woman in my arms. Why would I be in any rush to let you go? Though a more interesting question may be this... What is it you cannot give that you believe I have come for?" Alphonse lightly caresses her throat with his fingertips before kissing along her throat and chin, back to her lips. Alexia's slender fingers tangled in his hair pleased him. She seemed filled with a need for something very specific from him... ah, but women were coy. It was up to Alphonse to learn her desire and give it to her.

My curious hands moved along Dusk's slim figure with my lips tracing her neck. A recognizable voice spoke my name; I untangled myself from Dusk, quickly straightened any creases on my suit, and turned towards where the voice was coming from. "Hello?" I asked.

"Nathaniel, I have brought someone to meet you. He says that he must speak with my leader?" As Mallory steps onto the roof and notices Nathaniel is not alone, he adds apologetically. "He says it is urgent or I would not interrupt. His name is Monsieur Franky Falst." Mallory glances briefly at the girl he does not know and gives her a polite nod before returning his attention to Nathaniel.

My cheeks flushed a deep red as the two men stepped onto the roof. I turned away for a moment to button up my blouse before spinning back on the heel of my shoe. I didn't quite understand the business that Franky Falst wanted to discuss but by the expression on Nathaniel's face I assumed neither did he. I looked over to the young man beside him, and nodded in return.

"It is fine. Mallory this is Dusk, Dusk this is Mallory," I figured a quick introduction was enough for now; I was too curious to go in depth. I turn my head towards Franky, " I am indeed the owner of this haven, however, I would not call myself a leader. I do not persuade the kind folk who stay here to stay or believe what I believe, nor do I command them to follow my every word."

Al let all of her breath escape her. Her neck was very sensitive and very idea of having anyone near it made her dizzy. She melted in his arms and closed her eyes. "I would hate to disappoint you but I feel that you must know, I have no desire for a child." She kept her eyes closed still clinging tightly to him. Then she opened her eyes to see if he understood what she was getting at. She could not help but think that Alphonse was in her room only to bed her and leave. That was the only explanation her mind could come to. She would need to get to work soon anyways so even if that were his goal it would not happen anytime soon. Because Al was one of few female vampires that had the ability to bare children after they turned she was extra careful about what she did. Her maternal instinct was not just how she chose to portray herself.

"That is good. It is pleasant to meet you Nathaniel, sorry if I am being rude for barging in and staying outside the door. I got a little cold and could not wait any longer to pass on the news. You understand, correct?" Franky then turned is attention to Mallroy "Thank you for taking me here, I appreciate it. If at any time you require my attention, I shall give it." He bowed to him.

Mallory pointedly did not watch as Dusk straightened her clothing. He acted for all the world as though he did not have an inkling what he had walked in upon. He inclined his head once more with a softly spoken "Mademoiselle." when Nathaniel introduced them. Then he said nothing more, but acknowledged Franky with a nod. He did not wish to intrude upon whatever conversation was to come.

Alphonse laughs, then kisses each of her cheeks. "I have a child. He would like to see me staked and burned. I have no desire for another, my dear." Though Alphonse would like to think any further progeny he had would not necessarily hate him, it was true he wished for no further children. The thought had never crossed his mind. In fact, it never did... that was why he had Mallory. Perhaps that was Alexia's meaning.

She sighed relieved. "I do not believe he wishes you dead he is far to kind hearted. " She said blushing. A clock chimed outside her door and she pulled away quickly. It was five thirty in the morning and she needed to get to work. She went quickly to her dresser and pulled out a Warm looking light turquoise sweater dress and a pair of black tights, she also took out Creamy white leg warmers and her hair brush. She sat down at the edge of the bed to brush her hair. She tugged the cheap wire brush threw her jet black waves and set the brush down. "Look away." She instructed before unbuttoning her nightie and pulling it over her head. She got dressed quickly and was tugging on her leg warmers when she laughed. "Ok, you may look now." She kissed his cheek and jumped from the bed. She flipped on the light and fixed her hair into one loose bun at the top of her skull, and two tendrils framing her face. She placed a few small silver pins into her hair before opening the door and disappearing into the house.

She ran down to the kitchen and started making breakfast. She warmed the ovens while getting the supplys together for scones, And she took a bag of oranges from the ice box. She Mixed the scone batter quickly while she got a pan greased with her other hand. The scones were in the oven in seconds, and then she started on the sausages. She put a skillet on the stove and sausages on the hot iron. They cooked until perfect and she took it off the heat. Al mixed up an egg and ham mixture which she poured into a different skillet and stirred constantly until it became the constancy of scrambled eggs. When the scones were done and took them from the oven and placed them in a waiting wooden, cloth lined bowl, then covered them with a tea towel. She balanced the many breakfast items in her hands and walked carefully up the stairs and set them in the small dinning room and started to get out plates and forks and knives. She set the table and ran back down to the kitchen for the pitchers of juices, milk and coffee always served with any morning meal. Breakfast was done in fewer than fifteen minutes.

She now when for the laundry. She bolted up to the second, third, and fourth floor emptying hampers and carrying a few full baskets down to the laundry room. She got one of the great pots of soapy water hot and put in all of the light colored clothes and sheets. She stirred them carefully and ran off up the stairs to ring the breakfast bell. It was an alarm that the guests could chouse to ignore or awake to. She rang it and ran back down to the laundry where she wrung out and hung up the last pot full. She started another this time of dark clothes and ran back up the stairs.

Alphonse wondered briefly if he believed his son truly wanted him dead. Mostly, he did not think so. He was fairly certain Alexia was correct. But now that he had said it, the thought was lodged in his mind. So deeply caught in his own thoughts was Alphonse that he actually acquiesced without thought when Alexia bid him to turn his head. Ah, a wasted opportunity there! Such rotten luck, but he would survive it. When Alexia finally darted out of the room to begin her myriad duties, Alphonse slowly stood and stretched before leaving Alexia's room and heading toward his own. He took a quick shower and, ignoring the breakfast bell, decided to lie down for a quick nap.

Alexia grabbed a dusting cloth and started in the sitting room. She ran it over every surface and rearranged every flower vase, taking out old flowers and replacing them with new. She Went threw the entire first floor and when done walked up to the second floor. She walked into every empty room and straightened up, dusting and brightening. It did not take her long before she had every spare room clean. She would not clean the occupied rooms until the afternoon when more people were out walking about the house and city. Her morning chores were done and she walked slowly back down to the kitchens. She grabbed herself an orange and eat it greedily. She was very hungry and usually tried to sustain her thirst by eating and drinking rather than killing. It worked for about a month maybe longer, and she hoped to one day never need blood again. The only side affect of her diet was that she was very easily swayed by any sent of blood.

She finished her orange then took out some dough that had been sitting over night. She punched it down and shaped it into loaves, then after putting them in pans Pushed them into the wood fire stove at the far end of the kitchen. She sat down next to the stove and let the warmth flow threw her.

"Yes I understand." I glanced over to Dusk as Franky spoke to Mallory, and gestured for her to step aside for the time being. I awaited, almost impatiently, for him to tell me the urgent message. I had not the slightest clue of what it would be.

I walked away from the three, and peered out over the side. A cool breeze ran along my arms as I crossed them in a pathetic attempt to keep myself somewhat warm. The heavy rain had stopped quite some ago but yet it still seemed as if it would start up again at any moment. My thoughts wandered incessantly, analyzing the past two days. I sighed softly as the thought of going over the side grew stronger.

Mallory noticed Dusk crossing her arms against the cold and he walked over to her. He shrugged out of his jacket and draped it over her shoulders before taking a step back from her again. He felt the cool of the air through his thin shirt, but he ignored it. A lady's comfort was always more important. Mallory immediately rejected that thought as something he surely learned from his father and thus it was useless information. Dusk had looked chilled and he offered his jacket; it had nothing to do with some strange notion of chivalry. That was a lie, but it was a lie Mallory easily told himself.

Once the bread was done Al took it from the oven and put it on the counter to cool. She then grabbed her cleaning kit and started walking for Nathaniel's suite. He was gone like she had expected to she quickly tidied and swept, She de-cluttered everything and put his clothes away. Then she closed his door behind her and moved on to the next room down. She knocked and opened the door to see Alphonse sleeping on the bed on the far side of the room. She smirked and silently crept in and tidied. She dusted and swept with out a sound and left with in a few minutes. She walked to the next room cleaned it thoroughly the couple who had been staying there had just left. When she was done the room looked unused and she was finished with her work for the day.

With nothing to do to occupy her time, she decided to go and take sometime for herself in her room. She closed her door behind her and got out a large three-ring binder from her book case. She sat down with it on her bed and opened it to a random page. The book was filled with wallpaper swatches, paint colors, Pictures of furniture, and flowers. She turned page after page studying her plans. She had decided to redo the dining room and needed a good look to go after.
