She took a step forward, limpin on her left hind leg "I'm fine. I just couldn't see you in time." she cringed and sat down "It's just my eye again. Messing things up as usual."

He looks at her then her hind leg. "Did you sprain your leg? How badly does it hurt?" He moves closer inspecting the lionesses hind leg for injuries. It was very obvious now that he truly cares about her, though he doesn't feel he can word that yet. "Your eye didn't mess anything up."

"I don't know. I can't really stand on it..." she said looking at him. She looked down "I'm sorry." her ears put back "We were having fun and this happens."

"We can have fun anytime. Your much more important to me." He blushes and clears his throat hearing himself say that. He moves next to her. "Lean against me. I see a place to stay near that tree trunk." He motions to a nearby tree where a hole seems to have been carved open. Though the opening isn't huge.

She blushed as she leaned against him "Thank you.." she said quietly and smiled. When they got closer to the tree she looked around "I wonder what use to live here..." she said and looked at the hole.

He makes sure you put little weight on your hind leg as we head for the hole. "I'd think it was a fox hole. I don't know why it's so big though. It looks abandoned..." He looks into the hole. "It's much bigger in here and it's not steep. There is plenty of room for us in here along with food." He helps her move closer so she can look in too.

She bent her head down to look "It looks ok." she said and looked back up at him "Let's just hope that whatever it was is gone for good." she smiled a bit, holding her foot off of the ground.

He nods and smiles as he helps her get into the hole without hurting her leg any further. Once inside he looks around and smiles. "There is a seperate area in the side. Whoever built this must've had a big family. This is perfect. And it's not steep." He remembers the hole they had fallen down.

"Yeah." she said, sweating and remembered the previous experience they had with a treecave. She sat down, putting her leg out and cringing "It's much nicer." she nodded.

He looks at her worriedly, noting her wince. "Is there anything I can do to make you more comfortable Rose?" He moves closer inspecting her leg, then sits down next to her. "I could go and hunt down food if you'd like. Would you feel ok being here by yourself for now?"

She looked at him "Yeah. I'll be fine." she smiled and nodded once, laying down on her side so she could put her leg out.

"If your sure you'll be alright..." He nuzzles her cheek then heads out looking for prey. After a while of traveling he spots a herd of elk. Crouching low to the ground he approuches them, then bounds out toward one of them kicking up dirt behind him. It takes off at a run, galloping away but he keeps up with it until he can finally pounce on it and pin it down. (I'm not going into gore here...) Once he prepares it he moves it up over his back and heads back. Finally he reaches the den they had found and climbs in, dragging the elk in behind him by his teeth.

She had fallen asleep while he was out so her head was nuzzled inbetween her front paws, her tail laid out by her leg. Her ears twitched, hearing him come in.

He smiles warmly seeing her laying asleep. He does his best not to disturb her as he drags the elk in then covers the entrance with brush to hide it's opening from other creatures. After cutting up the meat he lays down near her protectivly and rests.

She flicked her ear again, pulling her paws in closer to her face amd turns her head towards him "Hey." she said, her eyes still closed but she could smell him.
