Ahh yes the scythe, tried to use one once, wound up learning how horribly unbalanced they are and mostly useless for combat unless carefully designed for such a role (ala-Zasalamel from soul calibur 3 and 4)

Holy wow. That's a big scythe. I'm not sure I've used one before. Apparently, they are unbalanced, so no thanks.

You just have to "flow like water". Do not waste any of your movement. Everything should be a connected with minimum periods of time for rest since momentum built using a heavy weapon should grow by merely swinging it.. An attack should lead to a parry or movement that rather leads to a attack, defend, or along movement. If you stop the blade, fix your position, or stop your fluidity your wasting energy and leaving yourself open to attack.

iRavi ...Ignore the Calvin Klein model attached to this fabulous weapon. HOW CAN I!? eek HE IS SEX ON A STICK! anywho... >///> palm heals strikes and hamerfist strikes are better than punches anyway. and i like falchions. they cut quickly, and cleanly, and can be maneuvered realy fluidly with practice. i personally suck at it, but i havn't had lots of oppertunities with them anyway. i have seen some excelent swordplay and juggling with those things, as well as amazing combat demos.

Eh... Whens the last time you've compared a hammerfist to a lead hook? Or a palm heel strike to a cross? I'm not sure you realize that a punch has incredibly more power than a palm or hammer strike. The hammerfist is used to bridge distance, or to block and strike in the same movement. The palm heel strike is to damage delicate facial bones, like the nose and ear. Its pretty much useless when used on the forehead, chest, stomach, and arms. A punch has more rocking power, and more blasting force. Think force spread over two knuckles vs. your entire hand. The knuckles hurt more.
