[XD that was more of a crack pairing illustration... I don't know why but the idea's been floating around in my head forever.... Even though our characters pretty much hate each other.... stare I guess I'm just weird like that.... I'll reply to the roleplay once inspiration hits.... Which would be not now!]
Falina spoke clearly, projecting her voice towards the guards, "I'm sorry-we don't know where the egg is. As soon as I can gather up the information, I'll find it and return it," she flashed a smile, closing her eyes slightly, "I'm deeply sorry my country doesn't know how to fight fairly!"

Avenger laughed. "A fair fight is a lost fight! When one fights they must use everything possible at their disposal to win! use all pocket aces and destroy the opponent!" he said proudly.

After having watched in silence this whole time, he seemed to be jolted by the blood. His hand went to his face, and for a moment, he just stood.
Xan came up to him and gave his shoulder a shake. His face took on a concerned looks, which was enough to get Xavier back into the present. "You all right?"
He scoffed. "Does it matter? In a moment, those Mimitans won't be."
Xan narrowed his eyes. "Care to explain yourself?"

Falina rolled her eyes. "Are you done yet?" she asked Avenger, after his speech, "Because I really don't care what you think about fights. You have too twisted a mentality for me to count your opinion." She turned her head to the Nursery guards. "Don't worry about him-he's just a crazy masochist. Now- about the egg?"
Doro seemed to be the only one other than Xan to notice Xavier's odd reaction. Cautiously he took a step towards the two spirit foxes.

Xavier shrugged off Xan's hand, and glared his concerned look into submission. No one, ever, was to care for him. That was his rule. Too much was lost by letting people care.
He carefully placed another stretched smile on his face and joined Falina, standing less than an arm's distance. With one look at her face, he let out an annoyed breath. "You're so troublesome, darling." When she looked at him, startled, he turned to the guards with a menacing glare. "Listen or I will make sure that you suffer. I'll freeze from the inside out till you are no more than an man shaped icicle."

Falina stiffened at his approach. Suppressing a shudder, she held perfectly still. Deciding to use her better judgement, she kept her mouth shut. Xavier was not a force to be reckoned with.
The young bat instantly rejoined his mother when Xavier started their way. Even his owner was afraid of the god in human form. The guards stood, terrified, as he seemed to tower over everyone.
She buried herself in her mother's leg. Everything was getting scarier and scarier that day! Clutching tight, Rithey trembled. First Doro was in trouble, then the guards came, all the stuff with Avenger, and THIS! The butterfly wanted nothing more than to go home.

Throwing him a fierce look that signaled, "Just shut up!", she shifted and gave Rithey a pat. "It's all right, love," she whispered into the orange butterfly's ear, "Everything'll be fine-just you wait."
And to think that this whole thing started with a simple mission for Doro!, Falina thought, Now it's turned into a big mess! She involuntarily put a hand to her cheek, and made a memo to kill Avenger after everything was over.

Avenger simply laughed more. "you must admit, he IS an ace in the hole right now...and it's helpful...I don't even need to use my rope!" he said happily.

She put a hand to her head and, turning once more to face him, mouthed, Shut your masochistic trap! Falina glanced up at Xavier, positive that his reaction to Avenger's reference to him as an object would NOT be a very pleasant one.

[...Thanks for waiting; I was actually at the doctors, so sorry for the delay. I may move this post to the main thread so I can access it easier. Lawl, it's not as if I have anything better to do with the main page. ^^;;]
Xavier's face didn't change; he stood there silently, his eyes scarily calm. It was worse than if he had just erupted into anger. It was too unexpected. Instead of replying even to Avenger's comment, which made him seem so much like the tool the world had made him... he ignored it.
With a small twirl, he faced the mother and shivering daughter. He sent a small smile to the small butterfly, and kneeled beside her, at her height. Now face to face, his face gentled.
He held his hands out and beckoned her. A frozen rose formed from the water in his hands, solidifying faster than you could say 'what the hell'. He smiled, and extended it to the girl. "For you, dear."
Xan watched from a distance. Even if they were rivals, he wouldn't let anyone take down his cousin. His cousin was a soft hearted man, but abused by history in their attempts to use him. He only recently had fallen into better hands, but his scars hadn't vanished. Xan's eyes narrowed; nothing was over yet. However, he sighed. "Your heart will be the end of you, Anthony Xavier."

[DX doctors.... Those are boring. I'm glad I waited, too. ]
Falina flinched when she saw the cold, calm expression in Xavier's eyes. She started to panic as he bent down towards Rithey, fearing for the worst. But, seeing his face morph into a gentle, kind one, she relaxed- if even only a little.
Rithey smiled sheepishly, suddenly face to face with the water god. She giggled, a tad nervously, and took the beautiful shining rose. It felt cold in her hands, but remained frozen even in her warm grasp. Delicately, she touched one of the petals.
However does he do that? Falina wondered, startled once more by his sudden attitude change. He was proving to be quite the confusing creature.

Avenger laughed. not a cruel laugh, but a kinder one. He smiled, and again, it showed no malice. "so he is soft hearted. a fools heart...yet the ability to destroy easily. with those two combined, the fool creates a wonderful world filled with peace and prosperity. a world ideal for all. it is the world we all wish for, yet we fight to get it. destroy to create. the world of men. the cycle of chaos continues ceaselessly." he said, his eyes closed. Kratos and Venix had just begun to awaken, and they groggily made their way silently to Ravelt.
