40 hours for me to finish the game with 108 stars lol
I need to replay it and pay more attention with the personalities of the characters and the quests lol

SPOILERS(?) Highlight to see
One King's origin would be very interesting and I wonder how many of the Tenkai's sacrificed the rest of the stars to ''defeat'' the One King.
I would love to have more history of Valfred and the One King

A whole lot of questions that may never be answered.

I really hope the Infinity doesn't get into the main storyline as well but IF it does then that would mean the main world we all know would have a True Chronicle. Maybe it's the True Runes (but that also defeats the story of the sword and shield)

That would also mean that all the different races in the game could possibly be from different worlds which would disappoint me if true.

It's very weird that you become a star bearer once you touch the book since in the main series, you would be born to a particular star. Unless I missed something here, please correct me if I'm wrong

It'd be a bigger mess if they tried to implement the Infinity into the main world.
I hope Konami stuck with the original plan with the story (big doubt about it lol) to answer everything that was shown to us. I mean I'd rather find out about the Sindarians, Yuber & Pesmerga, Hikusaak, Harmonia, Highland Rebellion, Crowley and Mazus, Barbarossa and Windy, Viki and Jeane, the 27 True Runes and a whole lot more before I want to find out about Tierkreis info like the Auster Folks, Furious Tribe, Rufa, Zayin, Rarohenga and other worlds.

In response to your infinity musings, Tierkreis has absolutely no relation to the rest of the Suikoden series, which is why there are no returning characters. They wanted to attract more consumers by making them feel like they didn't need to play the other games to understand this one... which is CRAP because that's the reason all the fans want to play it in the first place!! D;

I'm just hoping Suikoden VI comes out some day... and it continues with the True Rune storyline. =/

Ha! Just beat Tierkreis last night (...yeah. Took me a while to GET the game... >___> ). Few random thoughts:

*I loved the menu navigation system they used! It really made stuff easier- they should've included it in the castle, too.

*I was confused about The One King thing at the end. ((Why does choosing the bad end make Our Hero the One King? What does it mean that TOK is the only Tenkai star? And killing him gave him a past...future...thing? What? I don't get it!! >_<)) (And on the subject of TOK, Japan needs to lay off the Evil Strawman Christianity thing for a while. It gets. OLD.)

*UGH I wanted to play it as the Other Marica. She seemed way cooler, and this series is SERIOUSLY lacking in female leads. Also, Atrie... bugged me. There didn't seem to be much of a reason for him to be there, other than to... be there. neutral

*Adored that you could swap out the default weapon, like in Disgaea. I ditched Marica's bow for a sword & shield ASAP (I gave her the Soul Reaper scythe for the final battle. She just sort of... killed everything.)

*The Ritterschild trio made me SO. HAPPY. Guns! Other!Harmonia (Actually I got the impression that Empire of the North Star is more Harmonia but whatever)! Other!Howling Voice!!! <3

*I didn't mind the voice acting? It was okay but not terrible. Liu's VA seemed super familiar.

So, overall... I thought it was good. A nice entry into the series, but I wouldn't put it up there with The Greats (II & III). I thought they could have gone more in depth with certain issues (specifically: Janam's (("betrayal" of your company and its subsequent destruction, and the effects it has on Asad, Manaril, Mubal, and Shams)), the origins and identity of The One King (no seriously, WHAT IS THAT GUY.), our heroes' ((actually emotionally dealing with Dirk's Heel Face Turn and Heroic Sacrifice, like Riou and Nanami did with Jowy, and Prince, et al. with Sialeeds, and not just saying "Oh noes, how could he do this? Oh well, more on that in a few hours. Let's go hang out with talking penguins dolphins!") and had less ROW ROW FIGHT THA POWER.

Oh, and New Game +. Why would you exclude that?

To answer your question (if my understanding is correct XD)
*Highlight*

The One King is the Tenkai Star from a previously destroyed world that sacrificed the rest of the stars to beat the previous One King. How TOK started is not explained but it's suggested that by combining all of the 108 stars into one star, there is only one destiny (each star represents a destiny or different roads of the world). When Sieg [I think that's the canon name] sacrificed all the stars in the bad ending, he destroyed all the different destiny that can happen (aka the One Future part of the infamous quote "One World, One Future") One World comes from the One King's desire to destroy all of the worlds different futures so they can all have one future.

This game was pretty awesome I found. I beat it a few months ago mind you, but I really did enjoy it. It had a really good storyline to it. I'm looking forward to the next Suikoden game now. ^^
