Of course he was always willing. But, she had a point, so it was best to sleep. "Never apologize for that!" he laughed. "You're right, though. Those stairs got me..."
He could be a man about pain, but as he looked around the room, he was a pansy. It had no touchpad call service. It had no automatic towel dryer... But, it would simply have to do.

Raquel smiled, shaking her head as she went to fold his pants up and stick them with the rest of his clothes. "Again, we may want to consider moving you down to the main floor darling... I dont know how long you can stand this, an I honestly doubt I can carry you down the stairs." SHe laughed as she just overall straightened up.
"Though...after you're rested up.... we could go siteseeing... I'd love to see more of Druis..." she sighed dreamily as she fished into her own bag for some things/.

"I'll be fine..." Damian closed his eyes. The bed was certainly comfortable, and was already molding to his body like a giant pillow. He could definitely appreciate the cushion for his knee especially.
"We'll see the vineyards. See the hills... There are some other historical sites we could see, too. And the parks. They love preserving their wilderness..."

"Anything you need, it'll be yours..."
And with that, Damian fell right asleep. The air conditioning chilled him a bit, but he was asleep before it became uncomfortable.

The docks were on the very outskirts of town. Teagan had been graciously given a ride there by Mrs. Addington, who loved the thrill of helping a lovebird find her boy again. however, Teagan couldn't be given a ride back, as she was expecting guests. That was perfectly fine, she said, as she wasn't planning on taking a short time anyhow. Nat would be one in a large crowd, and that could take some time.
Teagan anxiously searched the loading docks and crews for any sign of Nat. Surely he couldn't have gone far... unless, she thought with a twist in her stomach, he had already left. Teagan kept searching, asking everyone if they'd seen a young man with a bicycle, along with a description of his slightly unkempt appearance. It took ages, but finally one person said that they had seen him go towards a ship down the dock path a ways. It was the only lead she had, and so she went towards the ship he had pointed out...

Nat had finally managed to find a cheap flight out of Druis. He wasn't sure exactly where he was going, but anywhere but Veratia and here was fine. He was looking down at his ticket with a frown, looking up to the sky as if looking for an answer to all his strange confusion in his heart. He felt heavy and loaded down, even his guitar case seemed to weigh a few kilos under this strange phenomenon. But he tried to suppress all of it as he made sure he had all his belongings to go.

Teagan arrived at the ship rather breathless. If she didn't find Nat there, then she would just have to assume he had already left and go back home. Even Teagan knew when to give up sometimes. When she saw Nat standing with his guitar and ticket, her ragged breathing stopped all together. So, it was true. He had left her for the sake of another ship and another world where there was nothing to bring him further down.
Teagan took a few steps towards him, but stopped. The distance between them only seemed to find new ways to grow, no matter how often she had tried in the past to pull them together. This time, Teagan would stand her ground and make him come to her. "Nat..." she said. "God, you're running away from me, too."
Her hurt eyes looked at his guitar, to his case, and then to his face. But when they rested on his own eyes, they turned hard and full of angry hurt instead of simply forlorn. The spark that had ignited their passionate kissing the night before was there, but in no way would it turn into something he could gain comfort from. Teagan was betrayed, and that could not be easily fixed.

Nat's blood ran cold as soon as he heard his name. He looked up to see Teagan standing a bit a ways from him. She looked utterly crushed and broken, which in turn, broke his heart. But he stood his own ground, despite feeling it all crumble away form him at her words.
He didn't know what to say, staring down at the ground before finally meeting her eyes. The roar of the engines was starting to hum to life, signaling it'd be just a few short minutes to boarding. "...You dont understand..." Was his argument and he stuck to it. He had really hoped he'd be light years away by now, but he guessed even the biggest cowards ran out of luck and had to face their punishments.

"Oh, I do understand, Nat." Teagan's face distorted into one made for tears for just a moment before she pulled herself back into an angry composure. No. She had said he'd never see her cry, and she meant it. "Staying here? I'm not worth that." She shook her head slowly, all the while looking at him with those furious, misty eyes. The engines roared, signaling for her to go. If he wouldn't take the time to help her understand something she already did, then maybe it wasn't meant to be anyhow.
Teagan turned her back on Nat. It was something she thought she'd never do, but with a swift turn of her body, the rest of the docks and world was in her vision. If Nat wouldn't be apart of it, then maybe it was a good thing. No one blocking her view, and no one getting in her way. It would also mean that there would be no one to pick up the pieces of her heart she could swear would be scattered behind her by the time she got home.
Home. That was the only place to go after such a blow.

Nat swallowed but before he could say anything, she had turned and was walking away. Nat watched her until she was out of site, then looked down at his ticket, his heart throbbing form guilt and wretched pain. The pilot of the ship called for everyone to get on board, shaking Nat from his painful thoughts. He furrowed his brow, solemnly heading towards the loading platform.

Nat had borrowed Damian's speeder with his permission to take Teagan out for their dinner date. They arrived at the restaurant, though sat in a lovely booth towards the back since it was getting a bit cold outside.
Nat took her coat, helping her into the booth as he slid in from the other side, smiling still nervously as he looked down at the menu. "Do you want to start with some wine since it is our anniversary?" He asked as he skimmed through the wine selection.

"Oh definitely," she said, loving the idea of wine. "But if I start getting smoochy, you fend me off, alright?" Teagan gave him a wink, and hid her face behind her menu.
As they sat in their lovely booth, Teagan had to look around. They were surrounded by lovely couples, some of them with small children. Married, she thought, and her thoughts travelled to herself. Was marriage a good thing? Was it.. worth it? These couples seemed happy... but why did they do it?
And then her thoughts went to Richard and Lorey. They had married because they adored each other and wanted to be together in every way, legal just being one. She adored Nat, and wanted to share everything with him... in her heart, Teagan felt like she was ready.
After all, she'd done what she wanted to, right? Gotten her education, started her own business, owned her own home. Sometimes they travelled together, saw the world. and they could do the same if they were... married.

Nat's mind was on marriage as well. He stared down at the table, the menu covering his face as well, mostly because was just so deep in thought. He loved Teagan...so much... He believed he was ready to move things to the next level... What oculd go wrong?
...She could say no. Teagan was such an independent spirit. Maybe she didn't want to get married? Things were so perfect between them... if he proposed, and she said no....could they still continue on like this? No. He was almost certain things would have to end and badly if she did say no...
That was a new thought...this could make or break their relationship, right here... Nat suddenly felt sick as he smoothed his hair back nervously.

"So, uh..." Teagan peeked over her menu to look at him nonchalantly. "Lorey and Richard seem to be doing real well. Naming their baby and everything... They seem happy, huh?"
Slowly, she thought. Get Nat thinking about it slowly... or at all. That would be the miracle. Teagan feared that the very idea would send him flying away from her. Commitment in a relationship that wasn't legal was alright for hi finally... but what if that changed? Could he handle it?
