Colleen grinned widely, nearly watering at the mouth from the sight of such succulent meat. "Thank you." She practically dove into her food, cleaning each and every one of the ribs of their meat and sauce. Luckily, due to her 'munchies' of sorts, she'd finished by the time Mason had declared herself full. Looking up with a satisifed sigh, Colleen wiped the sauce from her face with her napkin instead of her usual choice of napkin; Her jacket sleeve. "Suit yourself. I was hungry enough to eat a horse." Chuckling softly, Colleen rested her right hand on the table, near the center. Using her left hand, she grasped her wallet in her back pocket readily. She was intent on paying the bill. Chivalry has not died!

Mason chuckled as Colleen polished of the last of her ribs. "I see." She grabbed her wallet from her pocket just as Colleen pulled out hers. "You can't be serious, I'll get it." She pulled out a twenty from her wallet, placing it on the table. [[grr... short...]]

Colleen pulled a twenty from her own wallet, setting it on the table next to the other twenty. Pushing Mason's money back toward her with her index and middle finger, a crooked smile slithered upon her lips. "Oh, but I am. I'll pay, don't worry 'bout it." An amused gleam appeared in Colleen's amber eyes, her eyebrow rising as well.

Mason sighed, but then her face broke into a laugh. "Fine, you win this time. But I totally call it next time!" She said, feeling slightly rediculous for wanting to pay the bill. Aren't college students supposed to be worried about saving every penny? Not the daughter of a rockstar. Mason sighed, took back her money and stood up.

Colleen nodded, a sincerely amused half-smile worn. "Sure, sure." Her smile nearly fell as she took notice of the thin state of her own wallet. Ack. I'm'a need to talk to the manager back at the bar about playing a few more nights. Standing up as well as shaking herself from her thoughts, she walked on ahead toward the doors. Colleen instinctively hold open the door, her chivalrous side kicking in almost at random. She proceeded to wait for the other girl.

Mason giggled, walking through the door. "Why thank you, Madame." Mason said in an awkward accent, with an equally as awkward curtsey. She skipped out to the car, jumped over the door instead of bothering to open it, and started it up. When Colleen got in, she fled, almost speeding back home, crazy excited for no apperent reason.

Colleen grinned at the awkward antics, laughing softly. Having followed after in a slight jog and opened the door to get in, she was caught in a fit of laughter by the time Mason had drove off. An odd, light feeling began to bounce around in her gut; Seemed the other girls excitement was contagious. I'm not quite sure what got into her, but it certainly is amusing!

Mason was laughing hard along with Colleen still. She wasn't sure exactly what put her on this natural high. The excitement of the day, with Colleen and Nate coming to live with them. How odd the day was, but it ended on a high and happy note. She was glad to have a fun day for once, and the wind blowing through her hair in the convertible mustang couldn't hurt anything either. As she pulled into the driveway, her face fell slightly knowing the mini adventure was over.

Colleen's smile stayed on, albeit it decreased slightly. Getting out of the vehicle, she walked up toward the door and stood to the side of it, seeing as she had not been given a key yet. The slightest wrinkle in her brow showed some worry for Mason due to the falling of the other's smile. Deciding to stay silent though, Colleen just stood with one risen eyebrow, waiting for Mason to unlock the door. She too was glad the strange and somewhat unsettling day was ending on a happy note.

Mason looked up as she grabbed her jacket from the back of the car. "Oh, crap, you don't have keys yet. Hang on!" She puled out a set of her bedroom key, the poolhouse key, the house key, and her car key, and tossed it to colleen. "Catch!" She yelled just before the keys reached her.
[[Ai, is it cool that there's a pool, too? IDK, it's a mansion, so I figured it would fit.]]

Colleen's right hand shot out to grab the keys, her pupils having shrunk as she did so. Easily cluthing them in her fist, the loud jingling from the sudden halt in movement echoed in her brain for a few moments as her reflexive state faded away. Shaking her head a bit, she smiled once again, turning toward the door to unlock it. After opening the door, she held it open - not unlike earlier - as she spoke. "Thanks."

Arnold leaned up in his bed and looked at his one of his three alarm clocks. Sighing, He realized that he had slept way late today. Crawling once again to his computer as he had done so many times that week. Arne was anticipating an e-mail from his doctor about his recent pains in his waist. He knew that tests took a long time to be processed in the busy mexican hospital, but he thought that a week was a little much. He knew that in truth he just hadn't felt the need to leave his room lately. The chance that he might have some life threatening disease had scared him. Forcing his mind to fall back into its long-term pattern regressive depression. At least that's what my psychiatrist calls it... He pushed the refresh button and tensed when a small window popped in the corner of the screen.
1 unread message. From: Herves Dillanger
He saw his doctor's name and sht down the computers monitor. Arnold walked over to the other side of the room, picking up a small antiqe pipe. He had never put tobacco in it... And he never planned to. He just chewed on the end. Looking down at the half eaten sandwich that someone had pushed unde the door for him a little while ago, he grimaced. "I need to go read it..." Walking over to the computer again he flipped the small switch on the bottom of the screen. Arne knew that it didn't have to be bad news, but he had a feeling. Ignoring his want to delete the message, he clicked on the window.
Patient: Uglaoski, Arnold Patient ID: 34876
Dear Mr. Uglaoski,
I am sorry to inform you that you have a malignant cancer centered in your prostate gland. There are several ways to treat this form of the cancer, and luckily it is not advanced. I have included several phone numbers for support through this rough time in your life, as well as my own. Please notify me when you have chosen your wanted treatment time and/or style...
Best wishes, Dr. Dillanger
Arnold paled and fell off of the chair, out cold. Soon after awaking he bagan to cry quietly, cleaning his many collection items, just like he always did this when he was nervous.

Mason giggled once again, leading the way into a dark living room. "I guess everyone went to bed." She whispered, but then realized it didn't matter, since all the bedrooms were upstairs. She flipped the light on and headed to the kitchen to put her leftover sandwich in the fridge, then jumped up on the counter. "So, now what?" Mason looked at the clock that read 11:46pm. "Bedtime?"

Sparing a glance toward the clock, Colleen shrugged and leaned again the counter, next to Mason. Setting her elbows behind her on the countertop, she scanned the living room briefly. She always could see better in the dark anyway, so it was kinda cozy. "Y'er choice. If y'er tired, go ahead to bed. I won't be able to sleep for a few more hours, so I'd probably just play my guitar for a while. We can talk or whatever if ya' want though." Honestly, Colleen could care less. Her mood was even so she wasn't craving her pills, and she'd be content no matter what she did at the moment.

"Yeah, I probably should head up. I have a morning hip hop class tomorrow, and I better be rested up for that. Good night!" Mason hugged Colleen and headed upstairs. She stripped down and jumped into the shower for a quick rinse and shampoo. She stepped out and flipped a towel around her hair. Before she slipped on a nightgown, she looked at herself in the fullbody mirror. It was almost scary how skinny she had gotten. She had been drinking more, and with that, she upset herself so much that she almost quit eating all together. She had lost ten pounds in the past three weeks, leaving her at a almost unhealthy weight of 100lbs. She rubbed her stomach and grimaced, then pulled the gown over her head, which fit more loosely than usual. She sighed big and crawled into bed, the towel still wrapped around her head, and drifted off to sleep.
