Cosette sighed as they strutted through the halls to the car park. " Either today, or tommorow. As soon as I can, I promise. I don't like seeing another of my kind in such a state." They soon stopped outside a bright red speeder, which Cosette jumped into, Terra following suit on the passenger side. " Alright, police station, then Damians house, and then my place." Cosette mumbled, before taking off into the skies. -to le station!-

'Nathan' Brought Kitty to the ballroom in the back of an extensively nice stretch hover limo. When they arrived, he got out of the car and extended his hand to her in a gentlemanly fashion. "Tonight their hosting a charity event with a beautiful fireworks display...It's plenty of music, food and dancing, so I promise you wont be bored among the pompous and drab..." He smiled dashingly, but his eyes were soft.

Kitty had never before been to such a magnificent place. It was something she read about in books, only now she understood just what all that imagery was trying to express. The hovering chandelier caught every light and flash of a camera, sending little rainbows dancing across the molded ceiling. Everywhere she looked there was a beautiful woman in the latest designer trend. Men wore suits pressed and fitted with care, and even the food was garnished with expensive taste. She felt sudden;y rather out of place in her little purple dress and knitted bolero. It wasn't flashy like everyone else's wardrobe, and she barely felt nice enough to be considered Nathan's date. How she wished he would have told her where it was they were going!
"It's... so beautiful!" she breathed as they walked further into the crowd. "But why here? It's so grand and..." And she was not.

Samson could sense her unease and extended his elbow to her. "Trust me..." He leaned over. "If I had more warning, I'd have taken you out to get the most lovely ball gown money could find. But this is simply a charity event. No one really goes overboard at these things...besides, You're already the most lovely thing in the room..." He smiled, his eyes sparkling as they studied hers.

And she believed him. If Nathan said she was beautiful, then she was, though it didn't go right to her head but her heart. Kitty let him lead her through the glitter and glamour, all the while savoring every sensation. It was incredible. Music was playing, and towards the other side of the room, people were dancing in lazy waltzes. He seemed to be right about people being rather casual. A charity event didn't create that much cause for alarm when most of the people there could be impressed by a diamond or two.
"Nathan, I've only dreamed of being in a place like this... gosh, you just keep making dreams come true, and I've only known you for a few days at most." While that would have been suspicious to most people, Kitty took it as extraordinary luck. Nothing could spoil this moment for her.

He smiled joyfully, glancing at her. "Well I'll be honored to make a few more come true..." He held out his hand to her. "May I have this dance?" He asked in a dreamy tone, his eyes still mysteriously irresistible as he awaited her response.

Kitty took his hand without a second thought. She would dance with a handsome, dreamy man who had just hours ago kissed her cheek. It felt so simple, so wonderful, that she couldn't fathom why Jess had warned her against him. There was just nothing to be afraid of.

Nothing indeed.
'Nathan' led her out onto the dance floor and brought her in close, though was really focused on his next move. She wasn't the type of girl of sleep around, he noted this right off. This slightly disappointed him but held his character well. He knew he only had a little time left to get that book from her, but how would be difficult. It was obvious she would never just give it to him. Nor could he buy it off her. He had two options really...appeal to her human side, some how get her close enough to where she would give the book to him willingly. Maybe convince her somehow it'd benefit them both...but really that meant telling her he'd be killed unless he found this book, or telling her she'd be killed if he didnt.
No, that wasn't a pleasant option... Maybe if he could get her comfortable enough around him, he could just...slip away, the book in toe and she'd never see him again. It seemed smart. No one would get hurt... well except for her emotional state. But Samson had done that to many a girl, no guilt whatsoever... he could do it again.
But his eyes met her soft caramel brown. Dammit, why does she have to be such a sweet girl... He cursed to himself as they danced along. The sluts are easier to steal mercilessly from... or the selfish.... Like her friend... I've seen her before..- But he brought his thoughts back to the present.
"You're quite good....are you hiding some secret past of a professional dancer from me??" He asked suavely, his eyes twinkling mischievously as he gave her a spin.

Ah, if only she could see what was really going on behind those eyes. Maybe Kitty wouldn't have let herself sink so deep into the trap.
But she was ensnared, that was for certain. As they spun and moved together across the floor, all she could do was laugh and offer little conversation. He seemed to know just how to guide her around so she would trip over herself or anyone else. And so, when he asked her about her supposed secret life, Kitty had to give a heartfelt laugh. "Me? No, nothing more than little spins around the shop when music's on. Nothing like this."
Only in her dreams could she be that elegant dancer under the sparkling lights, but now, she wasn't so sure just what was a dream and what was a reality.

"well you could have fooled me..." He smiled, leading her to the edge of the crowd, solely coming to a stop. He kept his eyes focused on hers for a few moments, as if lost in their beauty. Finally though, he shook his head with a small smile, glancing down at his watch. "Would you care for some Champagne? Its always plentiful and free at these events..." He offered, though hesitated before turning to get some in case she declined. "Then it'll almsot be time for the main event..." He had a roguish little grin on his face, knowing about the fireworks display that was about to take place in just a few minutes.

Kitty tried to return his gaze, but found herself laughing it all off. He knew either how to make her nervous or was truly fascinated in little plain her.
"Just a bit," she said in regards to the champagne. "I really don't drink that much." The most she ever did was drink some red wine while reading, if only to help her sleep after a long day. Anything else was social and very miniscule, as she just didn't like the taste or sensation of alcohol. "But, main event? What, this isn't it?"
