I've heard Macs are the way to go. I have a PC with Windows XP and I love it because I have it tweaked to my liking. I heard that for doing computer graphics though, that you can't beat a MAC. Is that true? If so, I might just invest in one. How hard is it to relearn? I learn really quickly, but if I need to take a course, I just don't have the time to do that. Please advise. Heh heh... 3nodding
Also, I'm going to getting a new Intuos Graphics Tablet and the latest version of Photoshop. I know I can use the graphics tablet on the MAC, but not the software. Hmmm... MAC does have Photoshop too, doesn't it? Is it the same program or is it harder to learn? Sorry I don't know much about the MAC. No one I know locally has one to help me if I were to buy one. Maybe I'll just stick with the PC unless someone can convince me otherwise. xp

You can also get the drivers to the Intuos Tablets at www.wacom.com And offcourse theres no need to buy Virus Barriers because Mac OSX has a really good Firewall and virus barrier allready. And what i think Macs are a bit more user friendly and easier to use. Offcourse it takes time to learn how to use it if you have used PC all of your life.

Yea it takes time to adjust, for me (who has to use both) you find that alot of the commands are similar but different in some annoyingly crucial way, but just about ANYTHING that can be done can be un-done, with PC's AND Macs.
Yes macs are the BEST for graphic design and pretty much any other kind of artform you can imagine. I guess you can say PC-targeted for business and math Mac-Targeted to expand the minds and push the boundries of art as we know it. NOW which one do you want? pirate

Linux on PC. I've used Macs since I was four or five and the school decided macs were the future. I suppose they thought PCs would die out? I use Windows XP due to the inability of this box to run anything more complex. How that works, since every program this runs is getting more complex, I don't know.

~*Just your ordinary Windows XP on an HP Pavilion. Sounds new? No it's not, I've had this thing for over a year. I have to admit that MACs are way more fun to play with since I only see Powerpoints on them. So if you're the artistic or literary type, a MAC is definitely a way to go, since it's so sophisticated. Also, I totally think that they need a MAC laptop.*~
P.S.> Try not to laugh: 3nodding whee redface 4laugh blaugh rofl biggrin smile

Nope mac almost always gives a Educational Discount. That's why most schools used them. Plus they had alot more educational programs. BTW you can still get the educational discount today if you are a student

I used a Mac once...I hated it...except the thing you can do to it to make it's contents go slowly down into the corner xd ...but it still was pretty bad. PC rocks!

I like both PCs and MACs. They both have their strengths and weaknesses. I've grown up on PCs. The MAC takes some getting used to.

Macs are the way to go. They are making a program where you can actually use PC on a Mac, so it's a PC, w/o virus and what not. I'm not going to get it, because microsoft makes me angry. Everyone who says PC's are better either 1. used a mac at a young age and didn't understand computers at all. 2. have only ever used a PC 3. lieing. 3nodding
