Kuma watched silently as her herd settled by the water, her eyes far away and thoughtful. The world felt like it was dying around her and in her mind the humans were to blame. The planet was going to pot and it was all because of their filthy littering fetish. When the youngest seemed to settle, Kuma turned her back to the herd and started to make her way back to the lake. She needed to be alone to think this through. It was clear to her that the herd wanted to stay here. The food would be bountiful and the water in the stream was clear. However, the lake was a problem that needed to be confronted. It was messing with her senses, and if it was bad for her, it must be killer for the more sensitive centaurs like Yuritsuki. They could lead clean-ups, but it would take more than that. At the end of the day, she knew she would have to confront the humans nearby. As she settled by the lake's shore, staring into the murky depths, she came to the conclusion that she would share her discovery with Ganon soon. He would have a better way to go about this.

Ganon started to answer, but then heard a familiar voice behind him and turned to see-- "Sonya!" He stomped over around Yuritsuki, towering over the young black filly. "You have got to stop wandering off like that! The herd travels together for safety, so we can't have fillies off on their own in the woods where we can't keep track of them! The herd is down by the stream," he said, pointing. "You get right down there, young lady, and you are not to leave Kuma's side until I get back with meat. Do you understand me?" He didn't wait for a response; the question was rhetorical. He stomped one hoof firmly, just to show he meant it, and added, "And take..." He paused and looked back over his shoulder, then offered Risa a smile. "I'm sorry, I don't think I caught your name. I'm Ganon, and this is Yuritsuki. And this," he cast a glare toward his young charge, "is Sonyadore. She'll be leading you back to the herd. Won't you, Sonya?"
It hardly needs to be said that there was only one correct answer to that question.

Risa gave a small but very shy smile as Ganon didn't know her name. "It is a pleasure to meet you, Ganon, Yuritsuki, and Sonyadore." She said the names slower and more articulated, to get them right. "I've been named Risa. Risa Traydrson."
She had no idea why her last name was Traydrson. Every time she had asked her father, he'd change the topic. It was then, when Risa realized her father and rest of the rag tag centaurs were still in the Devil's Garden. She dismissed that thought almost immediately. They had done nothing but taught her to rely on no one but herself. She still had hope though. She hoped this herd could help her become a new person. Er. Centaur.

Sonya bit her lip, frowning. "I-I'm sorry, Ganon..." Her ears drooped, and she looked at the ground. Great, she thought, now he's mad at me. Then she remembered the other female, and looked up again. "Yes, of course. Hello, Risa." She smiled radiantly, without drecting it at Ganon. She'd only been following him, she hadn't planned on being scolded for curiousity.

Her hooves fell harshly on the soft grass, the noise echoing loudly to her sensitive ears. She winced a little in pain. Each blade of grass felt like needles against her hooves, which hard as they were, now felt soft as her tanned skin. Her long, sun bleached hair was tangled and matted, with leaves and limbs caught in it.
Her legs trembled.
She stood now on a hill which overlooked a large lake. Her eyes widened in surprise. Surely it was a mirage? But she could smell it. The smell of the sweet water, which may of been tainted, but to her it smelled almost sinful. She had walked so far. Could she really of found water?
A soft wind blew through her tangled mane, and her tail, pulling off grains of sand from her harsh coat. This sand was not one from the beach. No. It was more foreign than that. This was sand from the dessert. This was sand from a land that no one on Gaia had ever ventured out to.
And yet here she was.
She wore strange gold jewelry. One was a crown in the shape of a snake upon her head, the snake head proudly reared up in regality. Around her arms she wore gold bands which had stones of crimson and sapphire upon them. Those same sort of bands were around all four of her legs as well. She wore a tattered tan shirt. It may of been white at one time, but time, and sand had worn it down.
It was impossible to know how long she had been walking. But her body knew it was time to stop.
Her legs finally gave out and she tumbled down the hill, her eyes closing as she felt her body fall.

She waited patiently outside of Durem, her long pink hair tied back into a ponytail, with just little wisps of hair framing her face. Her skin was white as ivory, her fur just as pale. In the softly fading light it was silver, as her hair seemed purple. Her cool, blue eyes gazed out, watching the gates. Her lips were set firmly in a solemn expression. To say that she didn't like the city was an understatement. The people were loud, the smells were harsh, the food was horrid. What was there to like?
She sighed, pushing her glasses up her nose. Her horns sparkled almost wickedly in the dying sunlight. They were two horns, tall and black, like those of a demon. But she was not alone in this world. The one which she waited for was just like her. He was her brother.
~~~~~~~
He hummed loudly to himself as he left the bar at which he worked. He waved farewell to all of those who said good bye. He was an attraction of sorts there, which he didn't mind one bit. It made for good tips. If all he had to do was prance around shirtless, then that's what he would do. He had to make a living somehow.
He pulled a cigarette out of his shirt pocket and lit it easilly. The smell, which was harsh to some made him happy. He set the cigarette against his lips. His pure black skin and black body shimmered a little in the dying light as he walked to the town gates. He was meeting someone tonight. He was meeting his sister.
They were totally different, but he still loved her. And tonight she had something to tell him.
As he walked out of durem and headed for the forest, he saw her. She was pure white, and had horns which matched his own.
"Hello my sister."
((Wanted to introduce all of my characters ^^ ))
Zeb stared at her for a moment, "You don't have one? Impossible." He stamped his fore hoof and looked about, "So which way are the 'others'?"
Aress pulled herself up and stretched as much as she could. She looked around the main island before turning and began back towards the Island of Gambino. She continued to stretch as she walked, feeling some joints pop.
Hope gave a slight shake of her head, "I had a heard but something really bad happened..." She said in a sad voice. She kicked a small rock with her hoof as she watched it roll into the water, "It wasn't pritty..I just wish I could close my mind to the nightmare that it brought down in my life." She said slightly. "One day I wish to be a part of one but as of right now the fear of that happing again ...scares me." She said as she admited for the first time her fear.
Zeb kept his eyes to her, amazed. He slowly moved close to her, slowly daring to wrap his arm around her shoulders, "I don't recall my family at all, just my brother and myself up in the mountains together." He slowly looked up, ears twitched slightly as he began to worry about his brother.
Ganon rubbed his eyes and sighed at the pitiful look on Sonya's face, and he reached down to pat her shoulder. "Look... we'll talk about it later. You take Risa here straight to Kuma and wait there for me. Make sure Risa's comfortable." He shook his head, waiting until the two young kentauride had bounded off, then turned to Yuri with a chuckle. "It never ends, does it? Let's go, I know it doesn't make much difference to you, but it helps if I can see my prey to shoot it. I'd rather not still be hunting when the sun 's all the way down." He reared back and unslung his bow again, then galloped into the woods, leaping a fallen log.
Hope didn't know what to say about the family problems they all seem to have around them, "Um...its ...getting late..." She said slightly. Something felt odd and she didn't like it.
Zeb nodded and looked up some, "Yea, well, which direction is your group? We'll get you there before I leave to find my brother." Her tail flicked some as he looked upstream.
