Shimofuri smiled. "I'm on it" she turned the diamond so that the various lights concentrated on his lower half. At first it didn't appear to be doing anything, but soon the ice began to take on a more watery look. She tilted the diamond so that the angles always stayed on that one spot no matter where the ifrit moved.
(you know, like how you melt things with a magnifying glass? xD)

((You are unbelievable, and in a good way. ^^ I was actually describing that ifrit from one I saw on TV when I was younger, and guess what they ended up using to melt him? XD))
The ifrit watched the diamond turn in Shimofuri's hands, and became suddenly and painfully aware that its lower half was a little......drippy. "Hey-hey-hey! What're you doing? That's not funny! Stop it at once, you insolent little-!" It made to swipe at the pair, but it missed badly and the follow-through took its fist up to the ceiling, where it knocked a good-sized hole and caused ice chunks to come clunking down on its head......and allowing a good portion of clean wholesome sunlight to shine through.
Nefir's eyes widened as he quickly picked up a diamond and turned it so that a beam of sunlight bounced off of it and struck the stunned ifrit. "We've got him! Hurry!"

Shimofuri looked down at Nefir. "I don't think I'm the one who should be hurrying to defeat him. He insulted you, remember? I think this is a very good time to prove him wrong." She smiled and gave him a wink. "I know you can do it."

Nefir's eyes nearly fell out of his head. HIM? Defeat an ICE IFRIT? He considered himself so chicken that his skin was yellow under his fur, and he was to go up and put the hurt on a magical ice being who had only moments ago threatened to turn Shimofuri's tongue into a diamond so he could watch her choke? Besides, he didn't know what else to do aside from what he was doing at the moment, which from what he could tell wouldn't be anywhere near enough.
Now thoroughly angry, the ifrit reached a long-fingered hand toward Nefir, but as the diamond's light hit it, the fingers began to rapidly drip, and in the time it took it to draw its hand back, two of the four fingers had already fallen off and become lost in the sea of diamonds. "You!! I'm gonna turn your blood to ice and your eyes to yogurt!" He leaned his huge head closer to Nefir, and in a panic, Nefir held the diamond up in front of his face, as though to abstruct the horror looming in front of him. As luck would have it, that focused the beam of sunlight directly into the ifrit's forehead.
The ifrit yelled loud enough to dislodge more ice from the ceiling as it clutched it's head, but the damage had been done. With the full sunshine beaming onto him, he quailed under the heat and Nefir watched slack-jawed as the ifrit turned to water and vapor and dotted the diamonds with water. All Nefir could do was blink.

Shimofuri watched with pride as she saw Nefir, by coincidence or not, defeat the ifrit by himself. She dropped her diamond and leaned down so that she could give him the biggest hug she had ever given. "You did it! You defeated it!"

Nefir felt himself caught up in a crushing hug, still unable to tear his gaze from the droplets and the little wisps of vapor as they melted and drifted up through the huge hole in the ceiling and into the chilly sky. He heard a clatter and craned his neck to look down; his grasp had suddenly become nerveless, and he had dropped his diamond. He watched it roll away and get lost in the sea of glittering stones, and the realization of what he had actually done caused his eyes to roll back as he slumped down into a dead faint.
((What a turkey. XD))

Shimofuri opened her eyes confused as she felt all of Nefir's weight in her arms. "Hey? What're you doing Nefir? Nefir? NEFIR?" She started shaking him around to try and get him to wake up.
(she obviously doesn't know the proper was to handle someone who's fainted)

Nefir's head whipped back and forth as he was shaken, but all it did was cause his eyes to fly open; the rest of him was still touring Lala-Land. "Izzat you Mr. Raincloud? You can't be here; this is a desert! But if you want to raine pennies that's okay......" @_@

Shimofuri stopped swinging him as she heard his nonsense. She cocked her head to the side and flicked him lightly on the nose. "What funky thing are you talking about Nefir?"

Nefir's head lolled to the side as his eyes remained out of focus. "I keep my money in the mansion and live in the doghouse.... *Crosses his eyes and looked at his flicked nose* That kinda hurt.

Shimofuri stared at Nefir. "Are you done being loopy now?" She still held on to him, and was ready to whack him upside the head if he wasn't.

Fighting to regain his focus, Nefir smiled sloppily at Shimofuri. "If I say no, are you going to do something worse than flick my nose?" He struggled in Shimofuri's grasp, trying to tell her that he wanted to stand on his own, even though he wasn't sure if he could. Fainting; how embarassing!

Shimofuri smirked playfully and leaned in closer. "Of course, why wouldn't I?" She tightened her grip on him as he struggled, before just letting go. If he couldn't stand on his own, he was about to get a smacking from her.

Nefir stumbled a bit, then found he could shakily stand on his own. Focusing on Shimouri, he gave her a pout. " You know, you really shouldn't hurt fainting people, especially when they helped save the day. They need flowers and pillows and lemonade." ^^

Shimofuri laughed. "Then people who saved the day shouldn't faint. I was worried." She saighed before looking up at the hole in the roof, and then down at the diamonds below them. "You know, I could get you that stuff, but we'll need to get out of here first."
