Halle Marseille こんばんわ, guten abend, bonsoir, and good evening~.
Like my username says, je m'appelle Halle Marseille.
I am international studies major currently studying French and Japanese at a local college. I devoted my four years of high school to the study of German and am, as most would say, obsessed with Europe. Pre-French revolution, French revolution, post-revolution, Napoleonic era-- I adore France. I am also very fond of the 1930s and 40s Europe. I plan to travel someday-- given the world doesn't end up where it did back in the 1920s, of course. For now, my heart leaps at the mere mention of 17 and 1800s era France. I am somewhat lacking in my knowledge anymore-- it has been three years since I have even set foot in a European history class, as there was only one offered in four years of high school. Sigh!
Next semester though... things will change. Hopefully this will result in my participation in as many discussions as possible. Hooray, Early Modern Europe! Three wonderful hours of history next semester for me, so I hope for many in-depth discussions in the future of my time here. As to why I joined, my obsession goes beyond just the facts-- the life, mostly, is what keeps me hooked. Then comes the fashions and all the extravagance that came with just about everything. heart
Well, if one is thinking pre- through post-revolutionary France. heart Beautiful extravagance...
If you would like to talk more, I would not mind a private message or two. Keep in mind however, reply times might be long due to studies. Finals are approaching...
I also have a variety of other interests that I definitely would not mind expanding on. Do ask if you are curious, I promise I do not bite. 3nodding Quite interesting... May I ask, in the current way you study, what is the occupations you may have? All I can come up with is teacher or historian... Any you are aiming for that I am missing?

I would love nothing more to be an interpreter/translator in the future. heart I have a love for learning other languages and immersing myself in the culture... teacher though, I have played with the idea of teaching English one day, perhaps. 3nodding I do plan on continuing studying German as well. heart German and French are part of my heritage, so they're very important to me. I adore Japanese through its exotic culture-- I suppose my life is very dull since almost anything outside of my current existence is exotic. Japan just gives me that same feeling that France and Germany do when I think of what it would be like to spend just one day there.
Preferably in olden times though~ haha~ heart

I also have the goal of translator...
Though I do believe knowing the culture and slang of a given area would help immensely...
Thank you, you have given me something to think about. /irradiate

Hullo, my name is Kotatsu-chan, please feel free to call my Kota, Tatsu, Ko-chan, K-chan, Korn, or any other amusing variation you choose. 8D
I love many periods in history. XD It's hard to choose a favourite, but I'd have to say early 1900s, on the verge of modernity and on the crest of a technological revolution. I enjoy English history the best, and I'm amused by the national anthems of different countries. (And especially France's.) I enjoy going to Renaissance fairs, dressing up in historical clothing, antique shopping, and reading 1930's mystery novels. :3 Some of my favourite music genres are classical, big band, and swing.
I don't know many other history buffs in real life, and only one other who dresses up. I think I may be the only girl in my small town that would swoon over Alexander Hamilton.

Sup dawg, I'm ***** a college student with an interest in SOMETHING THAT ISN'T HISTORY plant science. I also enjoy art and have a decent amount of skill. I've studied the different floral arrangements of many different time periods (dutch-flemmish ugggh), but like many people, it's mostly about the clothes.
I enjoy hybrid victorian styles that aren't too radical to wear out, as well as traditional pieces. I have an obsession with the French Revolution and newer Steampunk-styled clothing. I'm actually more interested in Men's clothes of the time as opposed to women's clothes. Men don't have as much room for flair and fashion as they did in the past, I think.
I also have a shameful obsession with wearing bows and scarves around the neck. Hope you won't hold my oppinions against me and that my loud mouth stays out of trouble.
I'll try to be nice. ;D
tl;dr: I think you're going to like me. o 3o

Hello, my name's Taren. Like so many people here, my primary interest is in Victorian era clothing. I look better in it than I do in most of what's considered normal for someone my age these days (either gender, I'm male but I cross dress occasionally).

Oh my am I in heaven? I am Susan call me Snip. I have sewn clothing since I was 6. I can't choose any period because each has so much to offer. But I am drawn to the Victorian era. When I see detailed embroidery and pintucks I start to get giddy. My children Elizabeth R., William, Victoria, and Edward have been my models. Now that they are older I get requests for detailed pieces with a modern flair (gothic mostly). My sewing room has an area that I am decorating with items from 1890-1900. I just have to learn to control myself (3 working treadles). I have often told people if given the choice of where I want to die just let me be at one of my sewing machines or with a needle & thread in my hands. I am pleased to be accepted to your guild. Any questions just ask.

She Could aim for alot of decent paying goverment jobs other then a teacher, I speak chinese, latin, spanish, german, french, russian and am in the process of learning formal japanese. My father has taught me most of these languages, He works for the Pattent Agency as a foriegn translator which has helped me alot with teaching me languages. The Pattent Agency is not the only U.S government job requiring translator's.

Hi, I'm Jeni, I'm a student in London. I'm interested in several historical styles from all over the world, though my two favourite styles are Victorian England, and Japanese styles. I'm just starting out on making my own clothes for various things - but it's not going too well atm. I do own a few victorian style clothes, a kimono and a lovely 1930's vintage peach silk dress. Well, that's all I can think of right now - I'll see you around

I love medieval and english attire. I am looking for ideas of items that would make me look more knight like. I do knights a lot but at the moment I'm doing a summoner of vampire bats.
I do need about three more pieces of mythril armor and I wish gaia would make more shields.
they only have spartan and the pora Ice shield.
I'm actually using a demonic parasol as a shield.
angelic parasol works to!
If you have any ideas for knight gauntlets or boots please pm me.
thank you and happy anacronisming
may your zietgist be with you in spirit allways
