"Your eyes say everything," Ethin responds with a genuine smile on his lips. He puts an arm around her back as they go down the stairs and removes it once they reach the common room of the inn, not wanting to make Kiae uncomfortable in front of people.

"Walk," Ethin replied. "We may need to make use of a stealthy getaway which a horse is not." He pulled his hood down lower and wrapped the cloak tighter around his body so that he could maintain a hand on his sword without others seeing his readiness for battle. He was not familiar with the streets of Saldaea and, therefore, not familiar with its criminal tendencies.

Ethin's brows furrowed quizzically but he nodded in agreement. He knew that, whatever the subject was, there was a good reason she was taking to it privately and he respected that. "Ah, here we are," he announced.
Similar to the first time Ethin came to the inn, Easar was planted directly next to the door of the inn. "Good morning, Easar. Is Esole here?" Ethin asked.
"Indeed she is, mi'Lord," the man replied politely.
"No need for formalities, friend," Ethin replied. Easar smiled and opened the door for the pair.
Ethin spotted Esole the second he walked in, she was at the table farthest from the door with her family - Ezekiel, Chel, and Derrin.

Esole looked up from her conversation with her family, and nodded. When she got up, Ethin took her place at the table and picked up conversation. "Of course, let us go to the pantry," she said, leading Kiae to the back room where they keep all their food. "This is the most private place we will find in the inn. What was it you would like to speak about?" Esole inquired, grabbing two rolls of bread, offering Kiae one.

Esole had just taken a bite of her roll when Kiae said that she was pregnant. She started choking on the roll. It took her a moment to cough it up and compose herself. "Sorry about that. Did I hear you right? You're pregnant?! Have you told Ethin? Is he the father?" she asked quickly, unsure of how to feel.

Esole's eyes widened in shock from both the news of her pregnancy and him not being the father. She suddenly felt a surge of anger fill her body that enticed her into embracing the One Power. Suddenly she realized what she was doing and released the Power and calmed herself outwardly, still burning with anger on the inside. "First she takes him from me. Now she hurts him in the worst way possible! That lightskirt!" she thought angrily.
"How could you do such a thing to him? He clearly loves you and you treat him this way? Ethin deserves better than some milk-faced vixen!" Esole growled angrily, keeping her voice down to keep those in the kitchen from hearing.

"Keep your voice down," Esole responded quietly. She took several calming breaths before continuing. "Are you keeping it?" she asked in a near whisper, knowing if she spoke any louder, she word start screaming at the woman.

"How do you intend to fight the New Order and Erasmus with a child in your womb?" Esole demanded. "And how do you intend to maintain a relationship with Ethin bearing a child that is not his?" She exhaled before continuing. "Don't look so confused Kiae. He hasn't told me anything but I know Ethin like I know the back of my hand. I see the way he looks at you, how protective he is. That light-blinded fool is in love with you and anyone can see it," she said, addressing Kiae's quizzical expression.
