Skye smiled and nodded. "I am feeling lots better," she agreed. "I will try to do the whole dance for you but I do not know if there will be enough time ..."
Still, she rose to her feet and stepped off the blanket, all awkwardness gone from her movements now as she headed over to a clear space. She smiled shyly as she looked at Syrus and Suzura.
"Ready?" she asked them softly, raising her arms to her starting position.

The two of them both nodded, and Suzura signed a quick 'Ready', wiggling with excitement.

Skye smiled and took a deep breath, then positioned herself again so that her entire body was arched to one side, arms raised gracefully above her head. Then, as if music had started (though of course there was none, and it would mean nothing to Skye even if there was), she began to dance, her body swaying from side to side, spinning and jumping and dipping, her dance an expression of herself. She would have preferred a partner for it, but she was one to make do with what she had, and so she did.
When she was finished, she ended in a graceful bow, ankles crossed and one arm high.

The two siblings were clapping, awestruck at Skye's ability to dance so well, though, as they heard a third set of hands clapping, they both stopped to turn in the direction of where it was coming from.
A woman looking as to be in her mid twenties was standing there, smiling and clapping. Her short blue hair looked slightly purple in the pink light of the sunset.
"That was very pretty," she commented. "I'm so sad I didn't get to see it from the beginning." She then looked over to the two who were watching. "Suzura sweetie, it's time to be heading home."
'Mom!' she signed, quickly running over to her adoptive mother who in turn scooped her up. Suzura then looked towards Skye and smiled.
'That was very pretty Skye. Thank you very much,'

Skye could feel her two friends clapping for her, and she raised her head to smile at them - but then she saw that there was another woman there as well, who was also clapping. She blinked curiously, wondering who it could be - and then she realized that it had to be their mother, who was coming to pick up Suzura for the night. Her suspicion was confirmed when she saw Suzura sign the word 'mom' and then run over to her.
She returned Suzura's smile and straightened shyly, clasping her hands behind her back.
"Hello, Suzura and Syrus mother," she said softly, blushing faintly. "I not know you were here yet."
Her blush deepened. "Did not know," she corrected herself. Why did her speech always have to mess up when she met new people?

"It's quite all right Skye," Mizu said with a smile and a nod. "I was just coming by to pick up little Suzura here," she said. She then tilted her head to the side ever so slightly, smile still on her face.
"It's nice to know my two are making friends with such a polite and pretty young lady. I do hope to see you around more often," she said before looking at her small child once more. "Say goodnight to your friend and your brother Suzura. It's time to go home"
'Bye everybody. Hope to see you all soon!' she said with a big smile on her face.
"Goodnight you two," Mizu said, before blowing her son a kiss. "You have fun!" she called as she started off to take her small girl home.
"Goodnight mom, see you in the morning!" Syrus called after her.

Mizu had spoken too quickly for Skye to understand everything that she had said, but she did manage to catch the basic gist of it, and she blushed even deeper. When Suzura bid her farewell, she raised her hands and signed back, 'Good night! We will see you tomorrow!'
As Mizu and Suzura headed off, she turned back to Syrus and smiled, once again feeling a bit shy. She wasn't sure why ... perhaps because now it was truly just the two of them, or perhaps it was because she still didn't know his reaction to seeing the dance she had choreographed specially for him ... even though she wanted to do more with it before it would be complete.
Or maybe, just maybe, it was because now that they were alone, she didn't know what there could be that would keep things from getting too awkward between them ... because she was just coming to a certain realization ... one that she had never even thought about before, and yet was suddenly very aware of ... a realization of strong feelings that she wasn't quite sure she understood.

After his mother and sister were out of sight, and a long silent pause rose between the two of them, Syrus desided to do...something. He wasn't sure what yet; he just felt like he needed to do something, and he hoped he could figure it out as he got up and walked over to Skye.
"Say Skye...would you like to...I dunno...go for a walk or something?" he asked. Ah, a walk. That sounded good.

Skye smiled at Syrus and nodded. Yes, a walk would be very nice indeed. The Seconds world was a beautiful place, after all, and what better time to admire it than when the moon was shining and the stars were out? Of course, they still had a few minutes before it would be quite that dark, but it was still something to look forward to.
"There is a pretty place near here," she offered, moving to walk close to Syrus, "where flowers grow by the water ..."

"Is that so?" Syrus asked, then smiled. "You'll have to show me. I haven't been there yet. Until my sister and I ran into you, we haven't been out much really, so it'd be nice to see some new places," he said with a nod.

Skye smiled brightly and nodded, reaching out to take Syrus by the hand.
"Come," she urged him. "This way ... we follow path here, and then is the river, and then is the flowers."
She giggled softly. "It too bad I cannot draw, or I would try to draw the place. It is very pretty. Maybe ... should try to draw picture for Suzura, since she cannot be here with us."
Not that she minded. She felt bad for being happy her little friend wasn't there, but she was glad that she and Syrus had some time to themselves. Perhaps before the night was done she would find the courage to bring up the way she was feeling, and maybe he could help her sort out her emotions.

Syrus just smiled, allowing Skye to lead him to where ever it was. Honestly, he just wanted a nice little spot where they might be able to talk, but being the shy fellow that he was, probably wouldn't even bring it up first, and was hoping she would.

The place Skye wanted to show Syrus wasn't far away, and it wasn't long before they reached it. Alongside the river was a particularly thick patch of cattails growing, and tall reed grass, and just on the side of ti that was closer to the meadow was a large patch of brightly coloured flowers: daffodils and forget-me-nots and daisies and all sorts of wildflowers that Skye liked to look at and to smell.
"Come," she smiled, tugging him forward towards the middle of the patch of flowers. "We can sit here if you like ... it smells very nice ... and it is very pretty ..."

Skye understood most of what he had said, but once again there was a word she didn't know, and therefore couldn't say or know what it means.
"Say ... last word again?" she asked, stepping close to him and putting one hand gently to his throat, resting her index finger of her other hand softly against his lips. "I not know that word ... sssss ..." She tried to mimic the first vibration that had made it.
