PhantomoftheFox ... I used to hate rabid Leroux purists. The kind that beat everyone over the head with canon at the slightest deviation or AU and hate all adaptions. Then the movie made me realize that I was one of them. stare Hypocrisy, thy name is Fox. I dislike all adaptations for one reason or another, except the Lon Chaney version and, surprise surprise, PotP. The others (the ones I've seen anyway) all have something that just irritates me about them, so I don't really like them a lot, except for the fact that they're PotO. Ruenia, the first movie version I saw was the ALW version, and I was hoping, though not really expecting that the Persian would be in it. Nevertheless, I was disappointed. There should honestly be a movie that they make in which the Persian is in it...and he's the Persian, not Ledoux or whoever. *Twitch*

Alexis Of Shadow Yay! 100 posts. *Gives Phantom Phan 4ever a Phantom cake* Thank you. Actaully we made a cake once, and one side kinda crumpled so I put my mask on it. And my friends made a cake and made a mask on it with iceing.

Okay, number 3 is my ultimate enemy, [bleep] it! I joined this one PotO message board and only one person other than me like Gerry's version. Everyone else said he can't sing and I swear I gave them a piece of my mind so many times...I HATE it--no not dislike, HATE--when people say he can't sing.

I have to disagree yet agree in some ways it does but... And he was in a rock band. I thought he was born for the role of Erik. He has the right voice and he has that dominating pressence around him that only the Phantom can have. His voice is dark and passionate, but in the drop of a hat, turn cold and full of malice*.

That's amusing about the deformed cake, Phantom Phan.
And I have to say I stand somewhere in the middle of the Gerard Butler voice debate. I kind of liked it at certain parts, the rest of the time I was indifferent. I can't really decide whether I like GB's voice better than MC's, but I don't think he is right for Erik. At all. In other words, he shouldn't have been cast in that part. But, meh, if ALW wants to mess up his own movie, it's fine with me. 3nodding

I think this tread has died... oh well! I Truly do hate: 1. 'Fans' (not true Phans) who see the 2004 movie and say: "He's so hot, only if he keeps the mask on" HE IS STILL HOT! *hugs him*

Yes, but Erik is not supposed to be "hot". He is supposed to be hideously disfigured and repulsive. Any "Erik" who is not is not a true Erik and deserve to be bludgeoned. Along with whoever decided to make him "hot".
That's the main reason why Gerard Butler was a really sucky Erik. Augh.

3. GB would have made a better Erik if his deformity wasn't a freakin sunburn!!! (And it would seperate the phan from the fans...girls that only like him cuz hes "Hawt" *shuder* I hate them and that word!)

Then you start listening and all of the sudden the line "It's over now, the Music of the Night!" plays. You look at the clock and it's like two! Gah! That's happened to many times!
(Please take note that the two o'clock might be a little off as it's just an estimation and I'm yet to time Phantom.)

LOL, never really happened to me...but sounds funny. Well once i was sewing a shirt at 11 and when I was done it was really late and I had listened to the soundtrack 1 and a half times. (But mostly it took so long cuz I suck at sweing, but not for long. Next sesmester I have fasion! Look out, I'll be making crazy and POTOish cloths)
