Great. Let me guess, it degenerated into nonsensical racist drivel?

I think I would have found that offensive if I had been the one to see it. Whether or not the creator had intentions of it being represented in such a harsh light, that can and did offend many. It's called "think before you ask". Apparently common sense is nonexistent when it comes to internet "memes". stare Thinking it can travel into the realm of reality, and not have consequences. rolleyes

1. I imagine the meme has a backstory. They usually do. 2. The creator of the meme didn't put that sign up at the pool in this video.
But you're right about the person who put up the sign in this video. He/she should've known the potential consequences.

And people think it's funny to post stuff like that out in the "real" world. Sometimes I wonder if people think at all.

But from a future psychologist's perspective, it makes for an interesting social experiment. 3nodding

Well, look at it this way: it's a poster saying "Pool's Closed," and it has a smiling black man. How did this woman come to the conclusion that this meant that the pool prohibited African-Americans?

The pool's closed back story was actually something I took part off. sweatdrop
In the website, Habbo(SP?) Hotel, one's character could not get past another character, so the people of Chanada made a line blocking access out of the pool area and started posting messages saying, "pools closed," they did doing all sort of things. I just stood on a side and watched all the chaos. xd
