I seem to have arrived late to the party. Congratulations on your 100 post Soma smile Now as for the Castlevania movie I really don't know what to expect from it. All I can hope for is that the person who directs it has at least picked up a controller and played one or two of the games just to get a feel for the tone of the series.
I hate to sound cliche at this point but only time will tell.

Last I heard, they stopped working on it months ago due to some writer strike...did they resume?

Yeah they have a new director now but I think they are using the same script as Paul WS Anderson had.

If I don't hear anything about it in the next 6 months I'm going to assume that it's been canned. At the moment the whole concept is getting passed from director to director in a desperate attempt to save it... rofl

Mst3k is short for Mystery Science Theatre 3000. It's basically a show that used to be on when I was little where three guys sit in a cinema and make fun of really, REALLY crap movies. One of their gags was about the crappy script of a movie that was "passed from editor to editor in a desperate attempt to save it" xd If you're interested you can always look 'em up on youtube.
