Confusion played through his head. Confusion that made perfect sense. Like one side of mind his could understand but the other stubbornly tossed away the truth. It felt if there were two minds colliding. In truth it was painful to his mentality. It was like a fire of insanity starting to fan the flames. Yet e cooled himself and his mind. Even as a O.D.S.T there were times when the world tossed you a platter to big. Randomly and one that would change the course of your history and those around you.
The world. Once confusing made sense. The Ark and its purpose. Even his own it made sense in a distant place in his mind. Everything seemed to be Forerunner and the words and symbols made more sense then ever before. Codes flashed upon screens telling him of odd pointless things. It showed him chore lists. Still the joy of understanding racked at his mind.
Second was his new sight. Or so it seemed. Everything moved slowly. As the world changed to the desert built cathedral truly he could feel it. Feelings not once fell. Everything was in tune and his mind had more time to understand.
The soldier moved. The man was plastered with blood and bio foam residue. His mouth was split and chapped. What little hair upon his hair was twisted and mangled. With the help of a water canister he drowned himself in the water running through canteen after canteen. Washing away layers of blood and sweet from his face and chest. Standing tall away from the water crate the man sighed happily. Each droplet he could tell and name as it fell from his body. Why was the world so? So crisp.
"They want us to help. Prisoned in souls. Confined. Release them." It was Sarah.
What are you saying? The man thought, yet she answered within his mind.
"Winter. You are a reclaimer. The skies rebuild. The Ark. It is the center."
Center?
"Yes." Within a moment Sarah returned. Buzzing with delight. Cackling like a two year old, she was.. Slightly mad to say the least. Yet was there a way to delight her? "The Ark is the center. The rings? Because of the Ark. Its huge. What does it do? Its a factory. What pieces are sent to the stars? The rings Winter. Those! See?! The Key Ship. Its Forerunner.. Wait.. I confused myself."
Have you now?
"Forgot all I said! Do not trespass on that threshold." There was a pause, her random spewing of nonsense stopped and halted. All to Winter's happiness. "Hmm.. I must think about this. I'm thinking to fast. Guessing. Perhaps some of its right but what if its all wrong? Oh what mistakes can I make?"
Sarah?
"Yes."
Cool yourself. There may be two of us in one head.
"Of course darling."

Orders were the first thing on the Commander's mind after he regained his vision from the flash of the transportation. "Angel, run a full diagnostics check on all U.N.S.C. Personnel in this complex. I want our way out of this tower in the sky here in five." "Yes, sir." His eyes fixed upon the sliding blue text, his armor automatically grabbing the symbols and translating them.
They spoke of wars and of peace, of traditions and of trials. The Forerunner were far from perfect. Numbers, huge ones played across the text like a time stamp. There could be so much to learn from this epitaph, this spire of knowledge.
Pulling his eyes away from the text he looked to the helljumpers, "get this area secure and tagged. Set up an attack-class AI in the system and fiber optics in every hall up here! I want to know if those filthy Covenant bastards show up." "Sir, full diagnostic check completed. All Shock Troopers are green. Kilo Six Four is en route. T-minus 5:00.00." "You've got five minutes, soldiers! Let's move!"
The Commander refused to let the Orbital Drop Shock Troopers have any chance to ask where they came from, or what they had been doing. In his heart he wanted all of it to end. But then again, what would he be good for without a war?

Karr, now situated in bandages and a cast on his right leg sat in a medical tent awaiting orders. He thought they had just left him there on the gurney. That was until a Medical Officer came forth with a clipboard.
"CWO Karr?" He replied in a southern accent."
Anthony smiled. "Howdy there."
The Med. Doc. laughed. "Howdy, now for the news, your suffering from minor bruises to your right section of ribs, but your left side has 3 broken ones. Now, your leg is broken, if you didn't tell from the cast. I can have you up in three days."
Karr let out a sigh, and laid back on the makeshift Medical bed. "Thanks doc..."

Just as Anthony was lying down on his cot, a Gunnery Sergeant walked into the tent and handed the Medical Officer a data pad. The officer looked up at the marine with a hint of displeasure in his eyes, then handed the Sergeant back the offending item.
"I can't do this. My patient is in delicate condition, doing so much as moving him wrong could permanently affect his physical condition."
The marine stared back at the man with a stoic look etched into his face. "Captain Lee wants this man in the command center now. Clear him."
The doctor groaned before sliding a pen across the terminal hooked to Karr's cot. A small beeping sound was issued and the nearest unused wheelchair hummed to life. Adjusting automatically to suit the CWO's condition, the chair's foam padding adjusted consistency and shape to fit the man perfectly before slowly rolling next to the bed on it's own. The Sergeant saluted Karr before motioning for him to get in the chair.
"Chief Warrant Officer Karr, if you would. We're on a pretty tight schedule."
He left a hand extended, in case the man needed help.

Saminoz was sitting on a bench in a tent trying to relax himself. He came in last night along with his platoon. They had it easy due to the fact that the fighting had stop giving their pelican a clear path into the drop zone. He was a little nervous about going into the heart of the battle but it sure did beat training every day in boot camp. He heard the moans and groans of the wounded being carted from tent to tent so the could get patched up. It didn't really bother him though, he was more concerned for his own welfare.
He heard someone in the distance yelling something and couldn't make out what he was saying, but he didn't care. He just stretched out and relaxed and waited till he was given further orders.

Anthony gave a chuckle and grabbed the man's hand, sliding into the chair. "I wonder what the Captain needs with me..." he asked to himself as he was wheeled off to Command.

((Pelican Vector FIVE FIVE is already at the spire, along with 8 ODSTs, Mitchell, and the Pelican crew, which makes 12. Adding the other three is 15, which is just below the Pelicans operational maximum. Just thought you guys who weren't paying close attention to my posts would like to know.))
Lipton walked to V55 as he usually did, confidently. But internally he knew that confidence was a lie. Despite what Hammer had said, he wasn't sure. He had never known Forerunner equipment to be picky, but then again, he didn't know Forerunner equipment at all. Regardless, this was going to be an interesting time. The being had spoken of a Meddler, whom he assumed was Truth. And a master. Who, or what, was this beings master? Things had been so very simple before they came here. Find Truth, stop Truth from activating the rings, get out before it all goes to hell. Which it usually did.
The ODSTs were flabbergasted at the sudden reappearance of their commander and the attacks CO. Regardless, they behaved like true soldiers and used a lot of curses in their questions. Of course, those questions were aimed at each other instead of at the men who had appeared out of no where.
"Major!" Capt. Brown shouted.
"Yeah?" Lipton replied.
"Sir, Forward Unto Dawn has touched down and is giving us an update. They've located the Prophet of Truth and are preparing an assault."
Lipton's interest peaked and his troubles were temporarily forgotten. It was time to do the job they had come here to do. He turned back toward the spire and looked inside.
"Commander, you're needed sir."
Hammer was the commanding officer of the secondary assault element, while Keyes led the first. They had the Master Chief with them, while the second had Hammer with them. The Elites were waging their own war, but their goal was the same as humanity's, kicking the living s**t out of Truth and stopping the rings from activating. Technically the orders were probably for him and the 105th, as Hammer was the acting CO of the 301st at the moment. They'd be trying to reach him there. But whatever, Hammer would need to hear the sit-rep along with everyone else. They were finally getting closer to finishing things.

((sorry for taking so long to reply bonus01))
Ari heard a man ask for his CO, and he pointed to the sergeant, then went on to help others. A man, harshly wounded was being tended by the medics, though from Ari's point of view, the man didn't seem like he had much of a chance for survival, especially not with the enemy lurking around.
After a few minutes helping the survivors, and looking for others Ari could now see movement in the not too far distance. Then, he saw something shiny, and the sun light was bouncing off of it. Then he realized that the covenant were about to attack.
Ari yelled out "Cover!" as he grabbed a man, and threw both of them down. in the ground just as a nearby tree was pierced with razor sharp bullets. Ari let go of the man, then pulled out his Battle Rifle, checking behind him to make sure everyone was behind some kind of protection. Then he crouched and fired in the direction of the covenant. quickly retreating back down, seeing the covenant obviously had taken aim.

(( I am back Peoples xD))
Dysond studied every part of the makeshift medical wing. He thought about how many people had died in this war. He shuddered he hoped that he would make ith through. Click. The clip's sound rang in his ears sounding good, because that is his only defense between him and the Covenent bastards. He saw some people running towards the forest, so he ran to the highest tree outside the forest and peered down his snipers scope.
'Damn we are gonna have a bloodbath.' He thought zoomng in to ten times magnification. 'Two officer brutes, four jackals, and about nine- No, twelve grunts. This is gonna be one of two things.' He thought slapping a clip into his pistol then holistering it. ' The first is easy revenge killing, the second is half of us die and not so easy revenge killing... I hope its the first one.'

The crack of sniper fire echoed through the artificial valley as the posted sentries made quick work of the Loyalist stragglers. A small whoop of jubilation came from a nearby technician as his feed displayed a group of brutes, jackals and grunts exploding in a flash of flaming gases. The fact that grunts were walking targets to snipers was probably the reason, as one hit to their methane tank could cause a chain reaction in the ones around them. The end result was the complete devastation of the loyalist cell. Slowly, however, different cells were appearing on the radar, and soon the snipers were forced to change position due to return fire. Still, the people manning the snipers were professionals, and they knew exactly what had to be done. Pretty soon, the valley was relatively silent again.
Lee was turning around in the command center, going from task to task and making sure that everything was up to norm as the Gunnery Sergeant brought Karr in on a wheelchair. As he entered, the Captain's eyes narrowed a second and he remembered why he had asked for Karr to be brought here. Hammer. Winter. Lipton. All had disappeared without a trace, and so far the CWO was the last person to have seen the Commander. This meant that Karr was most likely to know what had happened. "Chief Warrant Officer, as of right now you are the last person we know who saw the Commander. I need to know where he might be. We will in fact be joining up with a larger UNSC force further into the installation, so time is of the essence."

[Sgt. James A. Mitchell]
James sat cleaning his new MA5C; the weapon was slid back together perfectly after he was finished. From where he was seated on the edge of the pelican drop bay, James could hear music blasting from a ODST's external speakers. Mitchell sighed and tried to ignore the music, but it was deeply irritating him. "Cut that s**t off!" James ordered the ODST. "Screw you, this is a classic!" Growled the ODST who raised a obscene gesture aimed at James. "So’s a mercy killing, now cut that s**t off Corporal!" James barked at the lower ranking marine. The ODST paused for a moment then replied. "On it Sergeant." Said the ODST, who then complied with James' order. It was obvious to James taht the pause in the conversation was the ODST checking James' rank.
Satisfied, James eased back against the bulkhead. Mitchell watched a couple surveillance videos in the corner of his sunglasses' HUD. Mostly scout reports from different areas of the Ark. James saw a Scarab go in an explosion in a sandy area. Mitchell needed some armor; his was completely fried in the last battle. He sat there, wearing bloodied, torn olive-drab fatigues; he looked like s**t. James felt like s**t also, his body ached all over and his head throbbed. He was lucky, lucky that the V55 found him when they did. James remembered watching as the black clad ODSTs pulled him onto the pelican, they looked like gods to the wound marine. Mitchell had always considered volunteering for the ODSTs. But, he just couldn't get around to it, he was always to busy.

karr attempted to half stand from is wheelchair on one leg, but he fell back, cursing as he did. He saluted the Captain with a bandaged arm. "Sir, good to see your alive and well."
He situated himself in a crooked position in his chair. His palm pressed up against his chin. "The commader is missing you say? Well, lemme explain the last time I myself saw him...
Sir, basically, I was piloting a Pelican. Everything going into plan when at just the wrong time, AA Wraith's gunned me down. I had seconds before I crashed into the canyon wall, thinking fast with the help of gee forces, I kicked, Yes, KICKED the Commander in the chest to force him out, when then I was spun into the back of the Unit Bay and safe to some extent from the harm of the crash. I'm damed lucky to be alive. As for the Commander, I did my damned hardest to save him from the crash..."
Karr grabbed a piece of paper from the desk that the Captain had established and a Pen, drawing the area he had planned the operation for.
"Ok, so here we are, in the center of the basin." He drew a circle around a box labeled HQ.
"Around the Basin, is forest." He cheaply scribbled around the circle that was the basin.
"Now from around the Basin, I was pretty high up. So its possible, he landed somewhere in the forest around us. Probably somewhere within 1 to 2 Kilometers. Sir, I would happily look for him, but I'm a bit... disabled." He gave a weak smile.
"Sir, any orders?"

Lee stood in complete silence as the Chief Warrant Officer admitted to assaulting a superior officer in the last moments of what had become a very messy landing. Faced with the information he had in front of him, he really had no choice in his course of action. The Captain let out a short sigh before flipping the drawing upside down.
"With the information I have on me right now, we still don't know where the Commander, Winter or even Major Lipton are.
Every square inch of land has been searched within a five kilometer radius of this CP, and we have to relocate farther within the installation within five hours.
Also, though I know that you did so with the best of intentions, I'm going to have to order you to stay off the field until you can back your explanation for why you'd kick a higher-ranking officer out of a hurtling pelican. He might be in Spartan armor, but our commander is still very much human, and if he doesn't contact us within a few days we'll have to assume that he's MIA. Also, since you are both the last person who saw him and the one who shot him out of a speeding aircraft, the official investigation into the Commander's missing status will look very bad for you.
We'll do our best so that it doesn't come to that, but right now the most you can do for us, and yourself, is to help analyze some more of the data we obtained on "The Flood"."
With that, Lee plopped a small datapad onto the desk and nodded to the Gunnery Sergeant on standby. The man got behind it, ready to cart Karr away once he retrieved the datapad.

((Because Dest isn't going to post, I will.))
After the orders had been relayed and everyone knew what to do Lipton ordered things to get cleaned up. He still wasn't quite sure what the hell was going on or even what he was. And honestly, he didn't trust himself in a combat scenario at this point. Yet he had very little choice. Truth was hiding behind an ancient barrier wall. And they were here to force their way through and make sure his campaign against all things was stopped. He didn't know what was so important about the Ark, or the Rings the being had mentioned, all he knew was that he had his orders. And in a world that had gone from normal to crazy in less than sixty seconds, all he had to cling to were his orders.
The last thing to go down was the makeshift COM antennae. Before that one last bit of vital equipment was taken apart, he made one last burst transmission to Unyielding Reverence.
"Uniform Romeo this is Echo One Lima. Come in Uniform Romeo."
Echo One Lima this is Uniform Romeo. We're reading you loud and clear.
"Patch me through to Alpha Two Lima."
Routing your call Echo One Lima. Full Encryption.
"Alpha Two Lima this is Echo One Lima. Lee, are you there? This is Lipton. The Commander and Winter are with me. We were sidetracked. Sorry for the delay. Your orders are to close up shop and proceed to an island in grid Golf Oscar Niner. You should see the rest of the assault force in the area. Sierra One One Seven has reached the map room and obtained the necessary data. We'll meet you there. Echo One Lima out."
With the call finished, the equipment was packed up. The transmission would get through. If they could get it to Unyielding Reverence then the ship would be able to transmit it to the humans in the original LZ. Now all that remained was to get everyone loaded up and get back to work. Of course V55 wouldn't hold everyone. At least it wouldn't make top speed and hold everyone. It was too bad they didn't have an Albatross with them. Then again, those were more of landers than anything else. Regardless, they had to link back up with the rest of the unit and finish their job before things got any worse than they already were.

He looked down at the floor for a second, then returned his eyes back onto the Captain.
"Sir, I understood what might happen when I kicked him square in the chest. But I did it out of a favor to save his sorry a** when he saved mine. Plus... I didn't think I would survive the crash... Which is why I kicked him..." His voice trailed off into sorrow as he thought about what he had done.
He attempted to stand up, the Gunny attempted to help, but Karr waved him off. Karr finally got to his feet in a half c**k-eyed salute stance.
"Sir I take all all the blame for what happened to the Commander. I'll take whatever punishment you have."
