Ryu nodded, "Quartz is a sort of pinkish rock," he explained.
He didn't know why it could be found in the river, but he knew that it was there and happened quite often they could be found.
"Did you find something?"

Jair looked up at Ryu, his expression uncertain.
"Well ... I don't know," he admitted. "I found this rock ... big one ... and it's ... white ... but I thought it was just a regular rock until you said you found white stones that were treasure ..."
He paused for a moment, looking thoughtfully at the rock.
"Is this one treasure?"

Ryu pretended to be studying the stone carefully, though he already knew the answer to that. After all he and Feng had looked for treasure countless of times.
"I would say so," he told Jair with a smile.

Jair's eyes grew wide with amazement, and his jaw dropped with shock.
"WOW!" he exclaimed, clapping his hands together. "I found a treasure! I'm so lucky!"
And he tried to swim another loop-the-loop, but again he got stuck halfway and ended up swimming upside down. He righted himself, giggling.
And then he stopped.
"Um ... Uncle Ryu ... what do we do with it?"

"Well...." Ryu replied recalling what they had done with those treasures, "You could keep it in the fountain with you as part of a collection, you could... give it to someone or you could hide it to find again later... really shiny things more often than not are just pretty to look at."
And nothing more unless it was the type you wore but he wasn't into that.

Jair looked up at Ryu hopefully. "Will you help me take it home so we can put it in the fountain?" he asked eagerly. "Please?"
It was big enough for him to lay on (once it was cleaned of course) and he wondered if he could sleep on it. That would be neat, he thought, to sleep on his own treasure ... and it was so white and sparkling under the mud ...

"Of course," Ryu agreed, "Do you want me to hold it for you right now? It'll make your arms tired holding it by yourself."
At the current moment, Ryu could see that.

Jair's eyes lit up brightly. "Would you really?" he breathed, hardly daring to believe it. "That would be really nice of you! Thank you so much!"
And he clapped his hands together excitedly, his wings swooshing back and forth against the water.

It was times like these he wished he had a bag or at least pockets, but as a mer alas that was not the case. Ryu looked around to see if the girls were done at all.
Feng was helping Naida unearth some sort of darkish shiny green stone. The moment it was free, Naida freed it, heaving it up she rushed over to Jair.
"Here!" she bubbled, "It reminds me of your tail."

Jair was positively beaming by this time, and he reached out his hands and cupped them beneath Naida's gratefully.
"Thank you!" he breathed, touched by her actions. "Thank you very much!"
He took a better look at the stone. It did indeed shimmer and sparkle in the same deep green tones as his tail did. He giggled a bit and clenched the stone in his fist. "Thank you," he told Naida again.

The little mergirl smiled from ear to ear she was pleased that Jair liked the stone. It was good to have shinies to share and her mother had told her about how when her uncle was younger he would give shiny stones away.
"I'm glad you like it," Naida giggled.
"Now that you both found a stone, are you ready to head back?" Ryu asked and looked at his sister to see if they would have to drag her back as well.
Feng was willing to go, of course she would have to come back and drag everything she had collected back and give Triton back his knives before she did something with them.

Jair looked up at Ryu, his green eyes shining brightly.
"Yes, please!" he giggled eagerly, clutching his new green stone to his chest. "I want to show Mommy what Naida found for me! Oh and maybe Celebor will be home! I want to meet him! And everyone else!"
He darted forward and swam in a little circle around Ryu's head.
"And I want to meet Daddy and play in the fountain and learn new things ..."

Ryu laughed a bit, Jair certainly reminded him of Celebor, so he hoped that Celebor would be home soon to meet Jair.
"Alright then," he agreed scooping the merboy up, "Then we shall head home. Feng?"
He still wasn't sure about her, but much to his pleasure, his sister nodded taking Naida up in her arms.
"That's a great deal and then Naida can get to know everyone else too," she grinned which was becoming more like herself.
Maybe all she needed was to get out of that damn cave.

Agreeing that now would be a good time to head back, the twins swam back the other way and towards the sandy beach by the river side where they would head home. There was going to be a good amount of surprises once they got home.
Feng in her usual way, thought this was just going to be fun.
