Red XIII spotted a glimpse of something sparkly by a old tree. He zeroed in on the area and saw white flashes too. It was Andariel that was for sure. He crouched close to the ground but still move surprisingly fast. His flame was hidden under him the best he could manage. She was so close he could leap out and chase her done now he thought but he was gonging to wait it out for a bit longer. Wait for the right moment to pounce on her again. After all she must be getting tired by now, she didn't seem like the rugged type.

Hoping she lost him somewhere along the way she slowed down and stopped all together. Panting she sat down in the shade to rest. She stayed alert but he was pretty sneaky. Her head turned one way then the other, scouting the scenery for any signs of him especially in the direction she came from. She stretched, standing up briefly then plopped back down again. Now she just had to wait for whatever was to come, surely another pounce from her preditor.

Red had followed her closely and watched her carefully but this game seemed over to him. His pray just sat down and seemed to be waiting for him. He rolled his eye and thought about what he could do as he laid hidden under the brush, down wind from Andariel. 'What is the best way to get her...' he thought. Nothing came to mind so he just stood up and showed him self. "You're going to be someone meal one day you know. You're not very good at this running away thing."

Caught her breath and was about to get up when she heard his voice. Her eyes moved then trained on him where he stood. "I don't know, I've done pretty well for myself so far. Don't you know being scared makes running a little easier?" she smiled not bothered by his razzing. "I was just catching my breath anyway" Rising to her paws she started to trot over to him. Sun beams poured down between gaps of leaves in the tree cover, as she stepped through them each one seemed to accentuate her appearance.

"Sure you where princess." He rolled his eye again but let it rest on Andariel's figure. "You should run more, for fun. It'll take you in shape and that way you could maybe just maybe beat him one day."

Andariel scoffed at the nickname, not feeling she was even close to such a title even if he was joking. "I am fine shape thank you" when she came up face to face with him she rose one paw and playfully swiped at his nose with claws retracted so she didn't hurt him. "Hush. Maybe I wanted my predator to catch me. Why is it fun to always fun?"

Red XIII wiggled his noise after the swipe it took. "One it'll keep you in shape like I said and Two, if you let the predator catch you who know's what will happen to you." He sighed.

Andarie sighed as well, her smile fading. He sure knew how to ruin a playful mood just as quickly as he brought it on. "Alright sir" she mocked him and shook her head. Turning away from him she started walking off. She knew not to just let a preditor take her, it was a game. Or was it some weird twisted way to test her? She grumbled putting more of a distance between them, her heart sinking. Stopping beneath another tree she sat behind it out of his view.

Red XIII eyed her as she walked away. Was she being sulky? He smirked and followed her on silent paws. She was too easy to read, to understand right now. He crouched low to the ground, thankful there where no twigs around he could step on to alert her to his present. His muscles coiled ready to spring and in one mighty leap he was on top of her. "What did I tell about letting you're guard down." He chuckled.

She could only wish he wouldn't follow her still. A girl couldn't sulk in peace. Her tail curled around her back legs and just as she got comfortable she was once again pounced upon, making her give a small shriek. Hearing his voice she muttered to herself before replying "How annoying you can be about it?" she asked sarcastically. "Would you mind getting off of me? It's a bit rude to so boldy lay on a female you know.."

"Oh don't be like that. You know you love the attention." He stayed where he was, the only muscle that moved was the one's in his tail as it swayed this way and that. "And no I didn't know that, I thought we where play and that you agreed to it." He smirked, his one eye gleaming in the light reflected by his bangles. "But if you want me off so badly you'll have to try to do that you're self." He went a bit limp so more of his weight was on her.

Andariel gave a huff at his response "Oh yes, can't get enough." She started sarcastically but let it slip into a mellow tone. It was hard to stay in such a mood for her especially when the one she was speaking to she had a crush on. She would have done just that, rolling out from under him if he hadn't pinned her down further. With shallow breath she groaned "I would but you are heavy!" It was a task just to tuck her paws beneath her in order to push up from the ground. Shakily she pushed up almost to full stance before her legs buckled and she crashed to the ground again. At that point she resigned to just laying there and letting him lay ontop of her.

He chuckled as she tried her might to get him off of her. To bad for her his muscular body was to much for her to move on her own as he found out when he fell back on top of her. He did try to soften the blow a little tho, Red's paws caught a lot of the drop force so Andariel's chest didn't. "You're warm." He noted as a rough almost purr like sound came from his throat. It had been a long time since Red XIII was around another let alone a female. He laid there for a moment longer before he got to his paw and off her. He attempted to help get her up by nudging under her with his muzzle. "Come on it's time to go."

She tried her best to hide a smile at the sudden small break in his gruff attitude. Was he even purring? Her eyes closed momentarily before she felt his weight lift and she could get to her own paws with his help. She took a minute to stretch, her back arching upward as her front paws slid out in front of her. "Go? Where are we going?" she questioned once she stood upright once more

"Not telling." He said and turned to face inland. "But I will say that we have to hurry if we want to be there before sundown. That is after all the best time to be there." He shot her a 100 watt smile that was gone in a blink of the eye. He took off at a fast pase not even looking back to see if she was following because he had a feeling that she would.
