as zane woke up from his nap he couldnt even remembered falling asleep "oh well, i wonder what everyone else is doing guess i'll check" he thought to himself as he opened his dorm rooms door........."its so deathly silent in here kinda like it"

Jasna arrived at her dorm and headed straight for her room. Crap! I'm going to be late for class. She grabbed her books and headed off to the Air Alchemy building. Room 14, Class B. Wonder what the "Class B" is for... She ran into the room, gasping, "Sorry, Mr. Aeryth! I lost track of time when a friend fell down and got knocked out earlier."
The teacher looked critically and said, "Class B is over in that area with Miss Gynwer learning Air-Earth Alchemy today. So shoo!"

Kaen walked leisurely into her class, 'Fire and safety while using it', Class A. The teacher gave her a stern look, which she ignored. "Class started five minutes ago, miss?" Kaen smirked. "Flame."
The teacher eyed her warily and looked for 'Flame' in the roster. "There's no-" Kaen continued to smirk. "It's there. Translated. Into Kaen. I'm simply telling you my name."
The teacher looked mad enough to smack her. "Sit down."
Kaen stood at attention and saluted, mocking the teacher again. "Yes, sir!"
~
Rikka walked to her class and opened the door slowly. The teacher looked right at her, along with most of the students. Rikka blushed. Not again! She walked up to the teacher and gave him a note. "M-my name's R-rikka...." She bowed. "I'm sorry I'm late..."

Jasna rolled her eyes and headed over to where she was supposed to work. The TA smiled and asked, "Name?" She sighed and said "Prain, Jasna Prain." The TA marked her present and said, "Okay class! Show me what you know about Air-Earth Alchemy." Jasna rolled her eyes again and strained to create a seed and cause it to appear and seem to float in mid-air. When the other students managed to get healthy flowers to appear to thrive without soil and sunlight, Jasna felt ashamed. The TA looked at her worriedly and said, "Dear, I don't think this is the right Air Alchemy class for you. If you can't even do something as simple as causing a flower to grow in mid-air, how are you going to be able to anything else that this class requires? I think you should go two doors down to the basic Air Alchemy class. The Honors class just isn't right for you."
Jasna held back tears and raced out of the classroom. I knew it. My father again. Famous parents that are brilliant mean that you have to be as well.

Kaen got detention for being a smartass. "Whee. Now I get to bug the hell out of your delinquents." She made the entire class bust up. The teacher looked at her sternly as he handed her another detention slip. "Whee. double showing."
The teacher stood in front of her and folded his arms. "Next we have expulsion."
Kaen sighed. "No thanks, sir." She finally cut her act and pretended to listen in the back row. She saw a boy next to her, flicking his fingers and making a tiny red flame appear. "Amateur."
He turned toward her, and kaen saw he also had a nose peircing. "Name's Blaze."
Kaen snorted back her laughter. "How original." She rolled her eyes.
Blaze apparently didn't get the hint. "You're Kaen, right?"
She cupped her hand around the base of her cheek and leaned on the desk. "Obviously you missed my performance."
Blaze laughed lightly, even though she was using heavy sarcasm. "I got the lighter thing, what have you got?"
Kaen smirked evilly before flicking her fingers in his face, producing a stream of bright blue fire. Blaze jumped backwards and fell on the floor. Kaen's fire stream disappeared before the teacher could see it. When the teacher turned and saw Blaze on the ground he scowled. "Brian Shinkowitz. Could you please refrain from disturbing my class anymore than it already has been?"
Blaze blushed a bright red. "My name's Blaze..."
Kaen was still smirking as Blaze sat back into his seat. He turned to Kaen with both fury and admiration showing on his face. "How'd you do that?!"
Kaen shrugged. "Always have been, always will, Brian."
Blaze grabbed her hand and stared into Kaen's eyes. "I've found my muse."
Kaen frowned. "Fantastic."
~
Rikka watched the teacher demonstrate how to make a snowflake. "This is simple alchemy, but the more intricate, the more difficult to perform. I'll assign you in groups of two to create two identical snowflakes."
Rikka watched as a boy with frosted blue spiked hair sat down next to her. "Hey, my name's Frost. You're that girl who stumbled in late, right?"
Rikka blushed. "Yeah..."
The teacher wandered up and smiled. "Glad you'd take her under your wing, young man."
Frost smiled. "No problem."
The teacher wandered off to pair up the unpaired groupings. Frost smiled at Rikka. "You seem too cool to be in here with us frostbites. You're definently a snow angel."
Rikka stared at the desk surface, praying that she wouldn't blush so hot to melt the metal. "Uh... I think we should start working on the project..."
Frost kept smiling. "Right."

Jasna settled down in her new class. The girl sitting next to her smiled and said, "They kicked you out of advanced too, huh?"
Jasna glanced warrily at the girl and said, "Yeah... So? They do that a lot?"
The girl said, "Sometimes. They did that to me. My specialty is, well was, air. I was really bad at fire alchemy though, so I was kicked out when I couldn't do what was required. Name's Queens. Litha Queens."
"Prain. Jasna Prain. I love water alchemy." To show off, Jasna made a bit of water shoot the teacher in the butt. The teacher saw her laugh and said, "Prain! Detention for a week!"
Jasna rolled her eyes and laughed to Litha. Litha smiled and said, "I am in love with air-water alchemy especially. Don't know why, just am."
When the air alchemy class finished, they had to go separate ways. Jasna headed to Advanced Fire Alchemy, Litha to Advanced Earth Alchemy. Jasna called, "See you later!"

Kaen pulled her hand away from Blaze's grasp and set the alchemy text between him and her like a shield. The class ended soon after the boring lecture. Kaen started to put her things away, when she noticed Blaze was still staring at her. He seemed to want something. Before Kaen could tell him to buzz off, he leaned over and grabbed her hand. Kaen suddenly felt the impulse to set the insolent boy on fire. Before she could slap him silly, he kissed the back of her hand. Luckily for him, Kaen was too shocked to burn him to cinders as he ran off. When he was gone, she set fire to the desk. "DUMBASS!!!" She gathered her things and stomped out of the room, seething. She managed to get to her next class, Air alchemy, without setting the hallways on fire.
~
Rikka tried to concentrate on making a simple snowflake, but Frost kept staring at her, making her mess up often. The teacher walked up and started talking to Frost, distracting him from his staring. Rikka took the opportunity to make a small, but intricate snowflake. She looked away before he could resume his personal staring contest, so she didn't notice how his eyes flashed with surprise at the sight of the delicate but complicatedly beautiful snowflake. He smiled brightly as the teacher walked over and saw the snowflake. "Why, Frost! Why on Earth would you make such a difficult snowflake for your partner to copy?"
Before Frost could reply, the tiny alarm clock on the front desk went off. The teacher sighed and hit the off button. "Tomorrow, we'll explore the wonders of icicle formations. Have a nice day!"
Rikka started to clear up anything that belonged to her, when she noticed Frost looking at her in amazement. Rikka blushed and looked at her hands.
Frost tried to catch her eye again. "How did you do that? It took me years to learn how to handle snowflake forming!"
Rikka stopped packing up and looked at her snowflake. It might have been small and delicate, but it was a master snowflake. "I-I'm sorry... I didn't m-mean to make that..."
Frost grabbed her left hand with both of his. "You're amazing! I've never seen something so beautiful!"
Rikka blushed bright red. The teacher noticed and came over. "Are you ok? You look like you have a fever..." He held the back of his hand near her forehead as Frost pulled his hands away and started to pack up. Rikka's blush faded a little. The teacher shook his head. "You're not sick... Are you sure you're alright?" Rikka just nodded.
Frost stood up and walked quickly out the door. Rikka picked up the last of her things and walked out to see him leaning against the wall next to the door. Rikka blushed and tried to pass him, but he held out his arm and leaned close to her, barring her way of escape. "You're the most amazing person I've met so far, and I've known several different groups of amazing people for years."
Frost didn't seem to notice that he had Rikka pressed against the wall, where he'd been standing just a moment before. "How did you manage to learn a level seven alchemic construction? Family training? Maybe another school?" He was close enough to breathe on Rikka's face, she couldn't hide her bright blush at this distance, but he didn't seem to notice. Rikka couldn't move an inch without touching the boy. Frost leaned a little closer before the teacher popped his head out the door. "What are you doing, Frost? You're going to give that girl a heartattack!"
Frost leaned back and dropped his arm involuntarilly, giving Rikka a five second escape. She half-ran to get away. Frost looked shocked, as if he'd never made a girl flee under his charm. "Damn... Must have scared her..."
Rikka got to her next class, Air alchemy, ten minutes early. She got a back seat in the corner and pulled out the rubberband that held her hair back in it's messy bun, creating a dark curtain between her red face and the outside world. She saw Kaen sitting on the other side of the room in the corner, muttering to herself and flicking her fingers, summoning bright blue fire. Wonder what happened to her? Maybe there's more boys like Frost here, and one of them messed with her? Rikka barely thought about him, but he walked in as if she'd went to the door and screamed his name. Oh my god...
~
Kaen watched the other students file in slowly. Whenever one stared at her funny, she flicked her fingers and summoned a blue flame. They scattered like cockroaches. Except one boy with blue spiked hair. He sat next to her with a sigh, as if he didn't notice a freaky fire starter sitting next to him. "Hey, boy. In case you didn't notice, I'm not exactly looking for a partner." Her voice was as cold as her flames were hot. The boy looked up at her with such a devistated expression, she flicked out the tiny flame in surprise. "Dear god. Who died?"
The boy sighed and shook his head. "I just met the most beautiful and talented girl..."
Kaen scooched over an inch, remembering her experience earlier. "I'm flattered but I just got rid of one pest."
He looked at her oddly, then burst out laughing as he understood. "Oh. Sorry, not you. You're cute too, but kinda heated for my tastes."
Kaen relaxed. "Ugh. You found a cute girl who shot you down, I find a poet with a need for a flaming muse." She shook her head as the boy melted into a laughing bag of bones.
He wiped the tears out of his eyes and sighed. "Well, I didn't get shot down... I kinda scared her off..."
Kaen smirked. "Not a good approach. May I suggest flowers next time?"
The boy went into another laughing fit. "Oh... Man... You're funny. My name's Frost."
Kaen frowned. "Frost, eh? Not something like Freddy for a real name?"
Frost smiled. "Let me guess, you met Brian, AKA Blaze the dumbass?"
Kaen's frown melted into an expression of exasperation. "Bull's eye."
Frost shook his head. "Sorry, my brother's an idiot."
Kaen looked at him in shock. "Your brother?!"
Frost nodded. "I'll kick his a** for you if you want?"
The teacher wandered in and shushed the noisy class, interrupting Kaen's less-than-friendly response. "During Lunch."

Jasna sat down at the back of the room and watched the teacher demonstrate how to make a torch out of wet wood using fire and air alchemy. She rolled her eyes. They always start with the boring stuff. Wonder when they'll get to interesting things like phoenixes. Phoenixes aren't real, but they are believable if you're good at fire alchemy. The teacher told them that they were going to do flame summoning. Jasna summoned a flame and made it float an inch above the desk. It nearly scorched the desk to cinders. Jasna poured water onto the messy fireball before the classroom was set on fire. The boy next to her laughed at her. She glared and asked, "What's so funny?"
He replied and said, "You're such a beginner. I was wondering how you could have possibly have gotten to this class."
"My father was famous. Professor Prain, Ex-Head of the Alchemists' League. He died. And yes, that makes me Jasna Prain."
"Cool. I'm Michael. My friends call me Burner because of the fact that I like to burn things."
"Whatever." Jasna forced fog into Burner's face. He vaporized it.
"Got a temper, have we?"
Jasna glared at him again. "Don't hit on me."
He held up his hands and said innocently, "Who's hitting on you?"
She rolled her eyes and ignored Burner for the rest of class. He finally stopped laughing at her poor skills when she managed to conjure a fireball that didn't scorch the desk. Also, she threatened to burn his face with it if he didn't shut up. At the end of class, Burner told her to wait. "Look, I'm sorry if I was a jerk. Really, I was only flirting with you to annoy my ex-girlfriend. Sorry." He turned around and left her standing in the hallway with her mouth gaping like an idiot. That son-of-a-b***h! How dare he! Then she realized that she was acting like she liked him. She headed off to Earth Alchemy. Well... He is kind of cute...

Rikka watched as Kaen made Frost laugh. They seemed to be fast friends, dispite the angry look Kaen had shot at him before. Maybe she likes him too... He seems to like any girl who'll listen to him... She felt a little hurt as the class continued.
~
Kaen listened to frost more than the teacher. She liked how fearless he seemed. She was glad he didn't dare ruin her admiration by hitting on her. "So, who's the lucky gal that you swooned into fear?"
Frost smiled sheepishly. "I don't really know her name... I know she's new but she's an amazing user of ice. I guess I pushed her to wits end with my staring, but she just looked so cool, I couldn't help myself."
Kaen snickered. "You sure you weren't just undressing her with your eyes?"
Frost blushed. "N-no way! I'm not a jerk like my brother! I'd never do something so crass!"
Kaen smirked. "Ok, points for blatent honesty. You lose originality on the super blush though."
Frost covered his face with his hands. "God. I'm pouring my soul out to a random girl who plays with fire about a new girl who I managed to lose my mind over. Could I be any more of a polar bear?"
Kaen smiled. "Well, you could have a furry white head, a snout, and some sharper teeth?"

Jasna just paced the hall because the class before hadn't let out. She saw Burner talking to some friends down the hall. He pointed to her and she looked down, furious. How dare he tell his friends and be proud of it!? He's being a jerk and he thinks that's a good thing?! Really. That SOB! Just then, she saw Blaze coming down the hall towards her class. "Who are you?!" she yelled rudely. "Leave me alone. Go bug some other girl!"

((Sorry. May I use Blaze for a scene?))

{Hell yeah! I might just make them my new RP chars!}
Kaen was enjoying making Frost laugh. "How odd."
Frost stopped laughing long enough to see her faraway look. "What's wrong? Did I offend you by laughing at that?" He backed up a little.
Kaen shook her head. "Remembering home. I never could get people to laugh, even here I have trouble. Then I meet you, and you're practically rolling in your seat."
Frost smiled. "I was feeling kinda down. You're a cool girl, cheering up a guy who screwed up."
Kaen smirked. "Then again, maybe I'm doing it to get closer to your brother, whom I intend to set on fire."
Frost snorted, trying to hold back his laughter. "Sorry, I think you were half kidding there. About the part of getting closer to me to get to my brother at least, a lot of people want to set that loser on fire."
Kaen smiled as the bell rang, cutting off the teacher. "Guess we get to go now, pray I don't maim your brother before you get a chance to warn him." Kaen crossed her eyes and made a choking face.
Frost burst into another laughing fit. They both stood up and walked out, smiling until they heard Jasna yelling at some idiot. Kaen frowned again. "I'm guessing that these guys do this alot?"
~
Rikka noticed how Kaen didn't flirt, she just talked. Then the bell rang and the students started to file out. "These normal classes aren't as long as the advanced classes." She stood up with a sigh and fixed her hair, pulling it back up into it's messy bun. She started to pack up her things when she heard yelling outside. "Huh? That sounds like that girl who helped me earlier... Jasna!" She dropped her books and walk outside.

((Awesome. I'll add Litha and Burner.[[TBA, they're exes but not the one Burner was referencing]]))
Jasna let herself blow for a minute then glared at Blaze and said, "What d'you have to say for yourself?!"
Blaze flicked his fingers and summoned his lame little flame.
Jasna glowered and asked, "That's it?! I can tell that you're a wimp. And a pervert. Get out of my face, dumbass!" She shot water at him and made it freeze in his hair. "Try and melt that with your pathetic flame! You'll be lucky if I decide to melt it before you go to sleep tonight!"
Blaze finally spoke up. "I'm Blaze. You may not think I'm cool, but really, I'm one of the hottest guys here. You sure you don't want to apologize?"
Jasna rolled her eyes and said, "You're a dumbass. Not cool. Burner is cooler. Oh, and don't hit on me. I've had enough of it for today."
Blaze paled and asked, dumbfounded, "You know Burner?"
Jasna summoned an ice ball. "Yeah, why?!"
"N-no reason."
Jasna made Blaze an ice necklace and saw Rikka. She sneered at Blaze. "See you later, a-hole. RIKKA!!! Do you have Earth next?" And she headed over to talk to Rikka. She was oblivious to Kaen and Frost.

Kaen fell over laughing as she watched Jasna adorn Blaze with ice. Frost slumped against the wall, laughing hard.
Rikka smiled at Jasna. "Yeah, I have Earth. It's just a required class. Who was that anyway? That was kinda harsh, what did he do to you?" She saw Kaen laughing hard. "Hey, Kaen!"
~
Blaze was humiliated. He saw Kaen and felt worse. She was laughing hard, and she was standing next to... "FROST?!" His brother was a bag of laughing bones, and he stood next to Kaen as if he was her best friend. Blaze couldn't take it, he ran.
~
Kaen was laughing too hard to respond. Frost kept laughing too. Kaen stopped laughing as it started to hurt. "Haha... Ow. Oh, man! That was horrible!"
Frost pulled himself out of his fit and sighed, wiping away the tears of laughter. "Oh, icicles! Brian just became the dumbass of the school, rather than by anyone who he talked to."
Kaen smiled at Frost, but his gaze went past her. "Oh, s**t!" He tried to hide behind Kaen. "The girl I like is over there! She's talking to the girl who just iced Brian."
Kaen looked over and saw Rikka talking to Jasna. "You mean Rikka?"
Frost smiled and nodded. "Now I know her name... Oh, crap! Here she comes..." He stood up and walked away, trying to not attract attention.
Kaen smirked and turned around.
Rikka was waving.
PostPosted: Tue Feb 17, 2009 1:46 pm

Jasna was glad they were all laughing. "It's not really him... It's Burner. That dumbass was just in my way I decided to let off a little steam. Or a little ice, depending on how you see it. Burner was hitting on me, and then Blaze decided to too. Blaze is his name right?"
~
Litha saw Jasna talking to a bunch of kids and walked over. "Hey, what's up? You guys got Earth right now? I was just in the Advanced class, so I have Fire right now."
~
Jasna smiled and said, "Yeah. Hey do you know Burner?"
~
Litha glared and said, "That SOB is - was - my boyfriend. Why?"
~
Jasna rolled her eyes and said, "Cause he was hitting on me. To show of to some ugly cheerleader. Look, there the SOB comes!"

Kaen smirked. "Damn, this is my lucky day. I got to scare that crap out of an idiot, make a new friend, and watch Jasna ice the same idiot!" She saw Burner coming. "Who the hell is this one?"
~
Rikka smiled sadly at her friends. "Sounds like you guys were having fun..." She looked up to see who Jasna was talking about.
