By now, Star would've seated herself in the hallway, but her skirt was preventing her from doing so. Instead, leaning against the wall would have to do. Star blew on her hair, obivously bored.
"Well, hopefully they come out soon. Is I had known this would happen, I would've suggested 7 minutes in heaven." Star said, rolling her eyes.

I got my self ready and I left for Mandy's house. "I'm spending the weekend with Matt, " I told my father on my way out the door. It wasn't a lie, I was going to be spending the weekend with Matt (and Mandy and Callie, and Star and Mojo, and DX, and Weirdo), but not at Matt's house.
"Hold it!" My father said. I stopped, my hand on the doorknob. "I called Matt's parents. They said he wasn't home. Said he was with Mandy."
"Well, see, we're meeting up at Mandy's. Everyone's there" My fther nodded, he knew exactly who 'everyone' was.
"You're going to the Modosu's beachhouse, right?" My stunned silence was all he needed for confirmation. How did he know so much? Then, I was stunned again as he smiled and said, "Have fun, and be safe."
"Seriously?"
"Seriously. You're a grown-up now. It's up to you to make the right decisions. Oh, and why don't you take my car? I don't think yours can make the trip." I smiled sheepishly. I had been worried about the same thing. My car was great for local stuff, but couldn't be counted on for long distances. I took his proffered keys. "Thanks, Dad."
I got inside my dad's Lexus, and drove to Mandy's house. "Hey, Mrs. A!" I said to her mom, who indicated that everyone was upstairs. "Hi guys!" I said, happy to see my friends.
Mojo smiled as Mitch arrvied. "Hey Mitch, what took you so long?"

"Hiya Mitch. You didn't miss much..." Star said, then started muttering loud enough for him to hear. "Except Mandy and Matt kissing, at least." She looked away, as if to add a dramatic air to it. But, of course, she wasn't the drama one in their group.

"Hey Mitch!" He smiled at Mith and waved. "You actully got past your dad!!!!!" He gasped as if he was trying to add a dramtic affect. Just to see if he could out do Star on the attempt at drama.

Mitch smiled at his friends. He was so glad to see them. "Yeah, I got past my dad. It was weird, he didn't even lecture me beyond, 'be safe.' Well, okay, he did sort of give me the 'You're a grown-up now' sppech. He even let me borrow the Lexus."
