I always invite Silabus into my party heart
But if you mean who can I relate to, its Bo.
I'm shy in real life, but online I'm totally outgoing and like a different person :p

Uh-huh... speaking of gay, Haseo x Endrance makes me laugh so hard that its hard not to love them both to pieces (though there's this little part of me that wonders if the only reason Haseo hasn't shoved Endrance through a wall is because he doesn't want to be responsible for the suicide that would come after... then again, there is that wedding scene...). -S

The characters I first felt attached to were Silabus and Haseo. This was because the first .hack series that I watched/played was .hack//GU. I also liked Atoli, Bo and Azure Kite, and to a certain extent, Ovan. I liked Atoli because I can sympathize with her difficulties in real life, like the contrasting views of her parents and friends. I liked Bo because I'm really shy too. For Azure Kite, hmmmm. . . I really have no idea. ^_^
Lately, I also liked Kite, Balmung (even though he was rather annoying at first. . . ), Tsukasa (though I'm a little disappointed near the end, where something shocking is revealed), and of course the adorable Elk!

Personality wise, I felt very attached to Elk from R1.
For R2....I'd have to say Gaspard? Err, or Silabus.

Hm...If I had to pick a .hack character to relate to, in terms of personality, it'd be Haseo at the start or Rebirth. Remember when he first used Skeith against Bordeaux? I actually said one of his lines at the exact same time he did, the very first time I saw it.
It freaked the crap out of me for a second.

Tsuaska - I even leveled him up for a bit after I got him, finally.
I really liked Mia, but my party in the old games was mostly Balmug, Blackrose and Kite.

In the first four I always had Nuke with me, then in the third one I made Balmung part of the team.
In G.U. I usually had Endrance with me 3nodding
Sora and Kite are two characters I dont really think I will forget, mostly Kite though...something about him just sticks with me.

Yeah. Kite's one of those characters that just impacts you. I don't know why either, but I feel connected to Kite too. D:
