As soon as he heard the snapping of the twig the dagger spun wildly in his hand. It stopped in his hand pointing in the direction of the sound. "What the hell..." This dagger seemed to be an extention of his powers, controling them exsternally. He was up now moving quickly to the source of the sound dagger ready, then as soon as he was in range he pounced on his stalker. Seth quickly pinned him/her and put the dagger to their throat.

Alex didn't hear anything prior to being tackled. In fact, she barely had enough time to register what was happening before she was pinned to the ground. "Ah-!" She closed her eyes with the impact to the ground, though the feel of something cold and sharp at her throat, had her tensing and opening her eyes to stare up at the person she least expected to have a knife to her throat. "....Seth?"

Seths eyes grew wider as he heard the voice and recognized the face. "Alex?" He qquickly jumped backwards hiding the dagger. This was getitng insane, first he killed the Faction leader, found the murder weapon, then enarly killed his love. "Im sorry." Thats all he could say, he was ready to run. But he had did this once already and knew he had no where else to go. Not only that but she had come looking for him and in returned he almost slit his throat.

Alex let out a shaky breath and sat up quickly. She was shaking a bit as she stared back at him for a moment. "Please don't run again." she asked meekly, realizing that he might after that little incident. Her eyes stung a bit as they started to water. "I didn't think I'd find you this time, and I'd be really upset if I couldn't find you a second."

Seth looked at her quietly and noticed her tears. Then suddendly his own tears began to well up, he grabbed alex roughly and pulled her to him. Buryoing his face in her shoulder as his tears began to flow. He couldnt figure out why he was crying but then he knew. After all this she was here, not a memory like his past but a real thing sitting there infront of him. Something he could grab, feel and be comforted by. "I dont know who or what i am." Thats all he could manage to say through tears.

Alex relaxed and hugged him back comfortingly. "Your the same exact Seth that came into my bar almost every day, and eventually moved in. The same Seth I love, regardless of what happened before I met you." she spoke in a soft, calming, tone, letting a bit of the vibration from it focus on his muscles in his back and shoulders.

He stopped crying and looked up into her eyes as he sttraightened himself out. "No im the amn who killed our freedom and then cowered in a bar." He flexed his finger in her hair and felt itr fall through. "Im the man who killed hte only family i have left." Anger began to boil in him, and suddenly the grass around him began to wilt as things heated up. "Im the man who did the H.E.C's dirtiest works." Seth picked up his dagger and held it in his palm, then it ignited in fire. Pulling all the heat form him and into it. "What the..." Without warning its hilt popped out and a message dropped onto the floor still engulfed in fire, then putting itself out as text appeared on the small white parchment paper.

Alex frowned slightly as he started blaming himself she took a step back however as the knife ignited. As teh letter hit the floor and extinguished itself she bent down and carefully picked it up, handing to Seth.

Seth unrolled it.
"So brother you did the deed. Now its time for your payment. I was a bit dishonest, that pill you took had a little something extra. Remember when we were kids and you always wanted my powers because you were not content with your own curse. Now you shall ebar my cross. All of it. The faction will not die and neither will I for i live through your blood.
You killed me once, now honor me twice. Lead the faction, and destroy the H.E.C"
"Umm..." Seth lipped he was generally surprised. He handed her the note as he thought silently.

Alex raised a brow in curiousity and took the note, reading it over. Once done she looked up at Seth. "Can he do that? Give you his power, just like that?"

"He gave me a pill to take. It was supposed to erase my memoery. Then he would recruit me for the faction. I dont know how it fits in with his assassination; but i took it before i found you. Now i assume there was somethign else in it." He looked slightly nostalgic. "So now what?" He was asking seriously. How do you just inheret a rebel faction. How do you suddendly become the leader of the free world of mutants. "How do you stay alive." the last bit he said outloud by accident.

Alex heard the last bit and smiled slightly. "By living silly." it was simple answer and she figured it wasn't the right one, but said it none the less. She handed the note back to Seth. "Hang on to that, it may be helpful if you want to take over the faction like he asks."

Seth looked at her and smilied. "I dont have a choice." Seth spun the dagger as heat waves splintered the air. "I dont think he gave me his powers and title for no reason. Besides when no one will lead, who will lead?" He asked the question seriously but then found himself laughing. Then he leaned foward and kissed alex roughly. "One of these days your going to know to run the other way, im just glad it wasnt this way."

Alex smiled and kissed him back. "You lead, I follow, whether it be walking or running." She looked up at him and laughed slightly. "I guess this makes you my boss then doesn't it?"

"I seem to remember me asking you to be careful if not stop at all. Now its an order!" He smilied at her knowing he did have that power. Atleast if he fired her he could keep her safe but then again keeping her happy was the main concern. "No i kid." He pulled her into his arms and rested his chin atop her head. "I love you..." Thats all he could say to comfort himself. Yesterday he was riding back seat off this war, now he was the man driving the truck. "You realize i could end this war tomorrow. Go officially surrender and let the chips fall where they may." He was being serious...
