((Sorry I've been gone. I hurt my shoulder and it made it really hard to type.))
Cat didn't give Justyn a chance to inspect what he was smelling. The place gave her teh creeps and she was eager to leave. "I have to ask Doc? Why the hell did you turn Tori into a girl?" Cat asked, leading Justyn to the stairs and heading up.

Justyn tugged in a protest against his limits. But when led to the stairs, he had no choice. He followed. He would come back to it all later, it was nothing anyway, he told himself. He was still glad to be right by Cat's side, and that's all that mattered to him at the moment.

The doctor laughed. "Because, to be honest, it was supposed to happen." he said. "The plasmid that allows her to live forever also results in a hormonal imbalance that slowly grows over time. However, I realized that said imbalance would kill Tori... so I made it right again. The result is what you see now."

Cat paused for a long moment. "So Tori was so suppose to be a girl to begin with?" Another long pause. "That would mean that one of you screwed up then." she grinned.

"Tori's Elf plasmid was the first long-term, non-combat ones ever made. His hormones were a precarious, ever-shifting balance. At first, he acted different almost every day, but he soon stabilized. However, you're right. Tori was, at first, female."

Justyn took a hint of what was going on. He could just simply tell something was being withheld from them all. He could smell it, too. He smelt it on the doctor himself. Now he was sure: Now he could tell there was something for him, and the doctor himself had it in his possession. There was just a light hint of paper, and the scent of Jay. He knew the scent from long before the apartment as he just had realized. There was just an intuitive feeling that part of the note was his. He wanted it now, as he calmly approached the doc. He had a demanding mindset, but remained physically calm and approached civilly. He really wanted it, but he stayed true to his peaceful nature.Peacefulness to such an extent all the time must have been balanced. That is where Johnny shines. The 'evil' balance to the complete outer shell of good. The electrons orbiting the neutrons--both essential atoms to every molecule--the building blocks. Johnny always had--always will--lurk deep withing the dark parts of Justyn's mind. Or maybe Justyn's mind has something worse to balance out all that good, and perhaps deep inside, Johnny has some good in him as well? Who was ever to say Johnny was a him? Maybe a her? Most fitting, Johnny was naught but an 'it.'

Cat stopped and looked as Justyn approached the Doc. She tilted her head and looked at the man she had been talking to. "Do you have something on you for Justyn?" she asked, not mentioning yet that the panther was Justyn.

"As a matter of fact, I do." he said. He took it out of his pocket. "If there's one thing about the Faction I admire, it's their blatant honesty. You will deliver this to him, will you not?" he asked.

Cat just smirked and accepted the note. "Of course, it's my part of my job as a runner." She showed teh note to Justyn before placing it in her pocket for him to read later. "So you don't like Lies then Doc? What about slant truths?" She continued up the stairs and opened teh door to the woods.

"I like the truth, but understand the need for occasional lies." He sheilded his eyes from the light for a moment, pulling out a pair of sunglasses and putting them on. "If the goverment discovers something that will cause mass panic, there is a need that it be hidden from public veiw. Imagine what would have happened if the public knew about the overload when we did: Seven months before it erupted." He smiled to no one painfully. "Mass panic. Riots the worlsd over. Gang wars, murder, anarchy. Thus, we controlled the situation as best we could and limited the impact a great deal." He sighed. "Although the cause of the mass evacuation could have been averted, lies saved over half the peoples of the Shuttles."

Cat set her mouth in a firm line. "I'm well aware of that. But there was still mass chaos and disorder once everyone got here. Families were separated, and last I checked there are still those with out parents." She took a breath and calmed down a bit. "As for lies. The HEC is still telling them, I don't see very many people questioning whether or not there regulating what they're doing now a days, making sure they don't repeat teh same stupid mistake they made on earth."

Justyn jerked from Cat's grip. He took the leash in mouth at the very point in which Cat was holding onto it to give him better advantage. He ran out, quickly, right out on the open with his leash in his mouth, then stopped; turned. "Of course they are asking. People like me always ask, but a shame that only people who have suffered losses would want to speak up, and nobody listens to them anyway. The company are criminals and nobody knows it but me...they killed my parents..." He did not say a word to any of them, just gave Cat sad eyes, and ran off. One thing being a panther gave as an advantage was the speed. He went to the most familiar empty place he could think of: His brother's house. He didn't know it wasn't empty, though.

Cat blinked as Justyn took the leash, noting the look he gave her. "J-Justyn?!" She took a few steps to go after him as he ran off. "What did I say?" she frowned for a moment, then realized she still had to take teh Doc to see Tori. She debated leaving him there and calling HEC or someone, but voted against it with a sigh. Turning back to him she motioned. "Let's go, I'd like to go looking for him as soon as possible."

Doc smiled. "I thought Justyn was a human." he said with a smirk, but shook his head. "Truth is indeed stranger than fiction." he said softly, turning to Cat. "Before we get back, there is something of utmost importance I must tell you. The HEC-"
Meanwhile, in the lab, the imps were scrambling, panicked. The Project had broken free, running out of the lab. She had said something about 'father'.
"Look out!" a girl screamed, a blur coming at him. She tackled him to the ground, nude, and sopping wet, small bloody holes where tubes had fed her before. "I sensed-Aaah!" A huge white spear struck her back from the sky, and peirced her heart, going into the Doc's chest. Wings flapped as the spear turned to small sheets of paper and index cards, floating away on the breeze as more fluttered to earth from the sky, and a white-haired man with wings made of paper landed beside them. The two held each other. "I am sorry... I could not protect you." The Doc smiled, happy. "You did enough." he said softly. He sighed, his head falling back. "Cat. Run. RUN!" The wings turned to hundreds of peices of paper, anmd the man pulled out a book, which exploded and formed into another spear. "RUUUUN!" the Doc cried with his last gasp of life.

((Tori, why are you using a paper master? And quick question, in true paper master fashion, is he a bibliophile?))
Cat just stared for a moment, mainly at the new comer and the sheets of paper that seemed to be flying about. The last words of the Doc yanked her out of the trance as she looked toward him. She grit her teeth, not wanting to leave him there. Turning back to teh paper controller she took a cautious step back, placing a hand in her bag. "Mind telling me who you are?"
