Shawn was relieved that he wasn't going to be murdered or anything, but he began to blush at her mother's statement. He lost focus of the conversation for a moment as he thought about the whole marriage concept. Marriage? Shawn shook out of it and smiled. "Nice to meet you Nana." He walked up to them so he wouldn't look like he was still hiding in the corner.

Smiling under a polite greeting, Nana got up and headed toward the kitchen. "Imma get something to eat, you want another Ge-ge or Shawn?"
Greed glared slightly as she was embarrassed at her mother calling her nickname when she had company. "No, I don't want anything!" she called back. "I already had pizza at Shawn house!"
"Okay! What about you Shawn!" was the call that came out of the kitchen, same with the opening of a fridge.

"Nope. I'm all good. I don't want to blow up." Shawn said as he sat down and made himself cozy on the couch. He had completely forgotten at this point that it wasn't his house.

Lying down on the couch, her hair sprawled out as she set herself down, she picked herself up and looked at Shawn. "So what you think of my Mom?" she asked, smiling at him.

"She's not as weird as I thought she'd be. She's definitely not as strange as this dog I saw one time..." After glancing at Nana, Shawn suddenly became delirious once again from thinking about marriage. Why would people get married?

"Meh, maybe she can be sometimes strange like a dog?" she said, not even comprehending the thought Shawn had about the dog. While she looked around, she drew closer to Shawn and looked at him, "What ya thinking about?" she asked, tilting her head in curiosity.

Shawn shook out of his realm of thoughts once again. "Umm... uh... n-nothing. Just random things." Then he muttered, "like marriage" quietly under his breath as he faced away from her for a moment.

"Well, I would like to know too!" Greed said as she trudged herself closer getting slightly flustered. "What was that?" she added also, pushing her ear toward him. "You can tell me anything, I will listen!"

Shawn took a deep breath. He wasn't sure how to tell her without getting embarassed. "Ummm... why do stupid people get married?" were the words that came out.

"Are you calling me stupid?!" Greed thought as she glared at him. But to not give anything away, she changed her expression and sat down. "People get married when they commit themselves to one another. Marriage is basically the only way of binding themselves to each other for life. That is what my Momma says." Greed said, being honest with Shawn.

Shawn looked a little confused due to the experiences of 'binding' he had observed of his mother and her stupid boy person. "Yeah, but then when people get married they get hurt from that 'bind'. They break the promise they make when they get married. So why get married if you're just gonna ruin it? That's the kind-of thing that makes people like me get born..." Shawn then had a sensation that made his eyes want to water, though they didn't. That thought always made him question the reason for his existence...

Shawn's mind began to swell with many thoughts well beyond his age. "Yeah, but I was modeled after someone who brought that horrible something. What if I become just like him? Then there would be no point in getting married, would there?" Then he paused. "N-not that I will!"

Feeling that this conversation was getting out of place, Greed wrapped her arms around Shawn and rested her chin on his shoulder. "You gotta stop thinking so negative." she said. "Cause' if you continue, your gonna loose the people who love you."

Shawn became utterly shocked by the presence of Greed's chin on his shoulder and the statement she had made. He glanced at Greed and asked, "Yeah, perhaps you're right. But uh... what people?"
