hehehe^^

funny you posted this thread

here's a tinbit for you^^

having a preference for sexuality actually, doesn't, 'start' at a certain time...

see, in the womb, when you're body and etc are being created, there is a sack growing at the base of the head, at the back....cerebellum.

it holds different chromosomes and etc....

so, lets say, you're a girl...and this sac has half estrogen, and half testosterone....you're more likely to be bisexual
girl, with more testosterone than estrogen....lesbian
guy, with more estrogen than testosterone...gay.

it's actually a scientific fact^^

so, you've all been bi, gay, lesbian...and etc, all your life^^...

it's just that when we hit puberty, and those chromosomes are going...

'need to reproduce, need to reproduce, need to reproduce'

and etc

you react to whatever sex you have less chromosomes of, in your own body

Interesting, I must look into this one day (not today because my explorer hates me). Well, whether it's like that or not, the time around when I started turning bi, was when I kept seeing yaoi pics, and I found I like them, and then I kept questioning myself. Over time, I just became this way. ^_^ I've only told two people. My friend who I know is bi, and my best friend since gr. 5. But i know if i told him I'd make out with him if he was bi or gay, he'd probably never look at me the same way again, since he would never do anything like that himself. sweatdrop He's really understanding though. And my one friend who I will never tell... u.u He's a total homophobe and would never speak to me if I told him probably.

hehe.....i've always known i was bi....to a sense

i always thought i was lesbian....

no matter how far back you go, i was always with guy's...playing in mudd, making forts, playing with lego, guns, dirt bombs...hehe, it was how i lived...

and, up until, lets say, most likly grade 9 i think it was...i believed and acted as though i was lesbian....unil i saw one guy, who i thought was quite attractive...it grew to bisexual instantly...

cause see, the typical hot guy, with bulging muscles, or snotty attitudes...i hate them...i like the real guy, with a little pudge, can't do much good, but works hard to try....a normal person...

hehe, and my schools have always been filled with horridly ugly people, or horridly typically hot people...XD...so i could never choose anything other than girls...hehehe^^

but yeah, grade 9, this one kid came into the school, he was gay though, i liked him...we have been friends for a while now..^^

and then towards the end of grade 10, i started dating my current fiencee, Allan....^^.....but, one of my best female friends....gawd...she knows i like her, and teases me all the time....it's very much not fun...;_;

Actually I'm pretty sure it is an outdated theory. You see last time I heard this I did a lil bit o research, myself and have sided with this opinion.

Next estrogen and testosterone levels can be changed and even if they might alter the odds they do not directly determine your sexuality from what I can tell. Men can have enough estrogen to develope breasts without being gay.

It was also said that homosexual men if anything have more testosterone than straight men. And even if sexuality is determined before birth there is still plenty of room for environmental influence.

Edit: The chromosome thing doesn't even make sense, you get the same number of chromosomes from both parents, more or less results in a genetic disorder.

and, they already do that for people, you can go get more testosterone or estrogen in your body with a doctors visit at some places....my mom takes estrogen pills cause she had a surgery that took all of her female organs out, because of a medical problem...so, she no longer produces estrogen on her own.....same goes for testosterone.

o.o....i donno where you go that information from....from the show, from the discovery channel i watched...it showed scans of the brain, showing what they meant by having more or less of one horomon.

and, i never said anything about them knowing what sexuality you're going to be before you're born....but, if you'd like me to elaborate more....they cannot deturmine anything about sexuality, definatly, until you are over one years old and have actually started mentally growing....

at one, oyou just need to take a small sample of blood, stuck it in a tube, add a little solution...see what color it turns, to show you what horomone is more present

i can answer any questions you'd like on it....in my class right now, we're studying this process anyways^^

Edit, after seeing yours.

yes, i know, but, if everyone was simply given 23 chromosomes, and that was that, how would we have a sex?...one is dominant, but one is not....generally, the dominant, lets pretend, is male, and the male chromosomes worked faster than the females for some reason....cerebullum is the last structure in the brain to be created, to which would have the estrogen in it...

O.o...just cause you're a guy, doesn't mean you can't look like your mom type of thing.

I'm saying that before you are born it is extremely unlikely your sexuallity is preset. Sexuality is not a hormonal thing. History and statistics show that Testosterone and estrogen levels do not predetermine sexuality as you quite clearly said.

We have our sex determined by the XY chromosomes, I'm afraid if you really don't know that I'm gonna question how well you know this subject.

one more edit while waiting:I'm attacking this statement because I beleive it is false

it's actually a scientific fact^^

so, you've all been bi, gay, lesbian...and etc, all your life^^...

*sighs*...i do not get, where you got that i said anything about horomones being able to tell us the sexuality of people before their born...seriously, i never said that...infact i've stating that you can't deturmine this until you're older than one year....so seriously, stop with that one already please....

and whatever, believe it to be false....you could easily go into the doctor's, tomorrow, ask them to take the sample of horomones in that sack, and they will be able to show you the difference....*shrugs*

if you don't believe it, try it yourself....i have twice, a few of my friends tried it after they found out i did, and didn't believe the fact.....what's stopping you from trying it...O.o?

in my body spisifically, the dominant horomone is testosterone, and, i'm a girl....but, the testosterone in me is not ourragously dominant, so, i can still feel attraction to males....

Estrogen and testosterone do not decide your sexuality as you entire post I took this peice from very explicitly said.

I'm not saying WE can determine these things, I never said that. I said that these things do not determine your sexuality like you said over and over again that they do. You are not using the same definition of determined I am.

You are completely missing my whole point. The truth of the matter is it is extremely unlikely that sexuallity is predtermined which you did say it was.

It's about a year since I started questioning my sexuality. I was having a bad falling-out with my boyfriend, so I was really quite sick of men at that point. Anyways, I hadn't really met any queer people in high school (no one was really out), so I had met some lesbians and bis for the first time when I went to college. I was looking at one of my lesbian friend's artwork, and I found myself really liking some of the lesbianic pics. That made me start questioning. The next few weeks went by, I broke up with my boyfriend and spent some much needed alone time. I seriously thought about going to the pride alliance on campus, but I was afraid to go by myself, so I asked the artist if she would take me to pride alliance with her, so I'd at least know someone. So I went and met people and was questioning for a few months. I knew I liked men, but I was discovering that I liked women too. I came out a few months later as bi.
