It's all good- So which timing system are we currently going with- skips or non-stop? Knowing that will kind of alter some of the cut scenes. ^^
Oh, and even if we go with non=stop do we still want to keep the skip of two years after grandpa dies?

Knowing that will kind of alter some of the cut scenes. ^^ Oh, and even if we go with non=stop do we still want to keep the skip of two years after grandpa dies? i think we'd probably want to have a skip that part atleast..because then you'd have to have a funeral cutscene and thats no fun neutral billy: i think probably thats how people that are dying feel...but thats not how the people around them feel...i think.. emo

I think you're right. One skip is enough. Maybe a short cutscene with a sunny funeral, nothing too sad like a rainy funeral. 3nodding
Alright, I've been away from my home computer for the past week, so I'll start anew with the introduction since a great deal of things have change. biggrin

i don't know how we'd work that out since she comes with the circus once your child is born, but i'm sure we could make her related to someone and have her visit on the weekends or something.

i'm not the only one who thinks she's cute, am i? xP im not sure who she is, but if everyone is ok with it i dont mind either way. as for motherly names...we could go with margret, nancy, pearl, renae, faye, diane, betty, meridith, rebecca, dora-the-explora, norma, gail, pat, grace, abigail, kathy, rose, judy, carrol, penny, rachel, mandy, francis, debbie...you know...something like that-just some ideas.. rolleyes

Oh, I think Mimi would be great as a candidate if we can fit her in. I always thought it was a shame you couldn't pick her previously.

who do you think is best fitting wise? I mean...Marlin has the tan skin, green eyes, and dark hair, and the other two have only dark hair. whatever works the best storyline-wise. any ideas? maybe we could come up with a short possible plot to with how she is related to these guys and what part she plays in their lives and then we'll pick the best one, eh?
Nina has a mother?? She is so old though!! Grace and Sophie I think are my top two. biggrin

Unless I'm mixing up characters Marlin lives in the valley because of health reasons (he was sick in the city and needed to be somewhere clean) so I think he would be the easiest character to incorporate a cousin with- she could come to check on her sick cousin or something like that on a weekly basis.
If we went with Carter she could be worried that he's being too dedicated to his work and bring him meals on a weekly basis (since I don't think Flora or Carter are very good at cooking) not wanting him to get sick from malnutrition.
As for Grant...hm...for some reason that one is a bit harder to think of something for, unless she just visits because he's her favorite uncle (or cousin).
I still like her being connected to Marlin best because that just seems to work best considering his background, but I leave it in your hands.^^
In the Magical Melody Gamecube version Nina has a mother and I think her name is Liz. Nina isn't that old (you can actually marry her in that one) so I'd say her mother is about the normal older adult age. I really like Grace though out of those two. biggrin

oh, wow. i never realized that there were so many towns. i only thought that there was mineral town and forget-me-not valley. o__o
uhhh...ehhh...i was way off. sweatdrop
so...i'm thinking that we'll keep it all the same time (so no mineral town AND Rune Factory town, whatever it's called), but...uh...do we want to add another town or keep just these two and our own?
Grant...well, he's depressed as heck so...I dunno.
I like the Marlin idea best, although if that doesn't work we could do Carter because that makes sense too.
Do you want me to write it or do you want to? I don't have a problem with writing, so if you can't it's not a big deal, but I don't want to leave you out. razz

Okay, so I looked into Magical Melody and this is what I found: It's a bit of a time difference as in, you can marry Ellen (Elli's grandmother) or Nina (you know, that old lady who ended up marrying Galen)...so...unless we want to do some kind of time warp, I say we stick with just Mineral Town and F-M-N Valley and then our own town. Maybe throw in a few characters from Magical Melody into our town if we need fillers. I've read that a lot of people like Jaime so we should probably throw him/her/it in there....but if we do, I really think that we need to decide on his/her/its gender cause that whole trans gender thing freaks me out a bit. razz

If I write it you might have to wait a bit because I have a lot of work this week- I'm fine either way.^^
Yeah, trying to add that town when it's based on a different time than the other towns might not work out so well. XP
Still, having crossover characters would be cute, especially for people who have played Magical Melody. Maybe some of them could be the workers you can hire or something?
