"I have no idea," Though her voice didn't portray confusion, just irratation. Victoria rolled her eyes and turned back to Edward, "I'm really sorry, sometimes ...she missbehaves. You will get your guitar back, I can promise you that."

Edward shrugged, letting out a sigh.
"I've got all night, I guess." No matter what, he wasn't leaving without the guitar.

Victoria sighed exageratedly, "alright. Let's go find that darn dog." Victoria led him through the house and back to the backyard to where Nanabell sat innocently the guitar still in her mouth. She looked at them and her black lips pulled up in a grin, or so it looked.

Edward glared at the dog.
"Nice girl..." He murmurred, moving toward her slowly. he reached for the guitar.

Nanabell smirked at him and waited just until the last minute before sprinting off farther into the garden with a mumbled bark.
Victoria rolled her eyes again and followed after Edward and her greyhound, who moved like a ghost, her white pelt highlighted. "Nanabell! Come!" She tried vainly.

Edward sighed as the dog moved father away.
"Your dog...is evil.." He muttered, staying next to Victoria. If she couldn't get Nanabell, Edward figured no one could.

Victoria sighed with him, "I must agree." Oh he had no idea, she added to herself.
Nanabell slowed and trotted into the denser part of the garden where the forest began.
"You know what? Nanabell if you don't bring that back right now I swear I will never let you have desert again." Victoria's threat made the dog hesitate almost as if she pondered the outcome but then, much to victoria's frustration, continued on again leading them farther and farther away from the house.

Elaina edged a hip onto the low barrier, throwing a leg over to straddle the stone rail and, in a movement too quick to deter, swung her other leg over and leaped off the balcony. The vampire laughed suddenly, a beautiful and brilliant event that lit her features in the brief manner of a shooting star across the night sky before it's music faded, replaced by her usual, more demure smile as she landed in a crouch. Spinning as she stood, she lifted her face to see him. Her voice, warm and gilded with humor, lifted through the night air to him.
"Well then, Adventurer, are you coming or not?"
It was then she heard a light bark, and her head snapped around to see Nanabell's pearly frame sitting not far away. A ghost of a smile slid over her features as Elaina held out a hand to the canine spirit.
"Hello pup. What have you got there...?"

Edward sighed.
'You know what, it's okay.' He said, giving up. 'I'm sure she'll bring it back sometime...' He turned around, and walked back toward the house. 'Thanks, though.'

Nanabell winked at Elain before running off.
Victoria sighed, "well, where's the fun in that?" But she shrugged her shoulders and returned with Edward. "If we could get you guitar back we could duet, see what each other knows, but alas that cursed dog." She glared over at her shoulder and then turned back to wave to her sister.
Once realized the two were not up for the chase Nanabell doubled back and trotted up to Elaina to lay the guitar case at her feet, giving a dog grin to Victoria and Edward.

Elaina met Victoria's eyes across the distance that separated them as her hand stroked lightly over Nanabell's head, then shifted a minuscule amount to take in the features of the boy at her sister's side. Another of Jason's friends. The game was becoming more involved, the players moving in tandem, courting fate in the inevitable dance. A low chuckle sounded in her throat as she bent to retrieve the case at her feet.
" 'Whenever a flood of ills comes upon mortals, a man fears everything; but whenever a divine force cheers on our voyage, then we believe that the same fate will always blow fair.' Aeschylus, I believe."
The dog looked at her with a lopsided canine grin, and Elaina shook her head before lifting her face to watch the progress of her sister and their guest. An emotion akin to sadness moved over her features.
"A flood of ills, I fear. What else can come of it?"
Turning, she looked up at the balcony again, calling out to Jason.
"Would you prefer the stairs?"

'Yeah.' He looked to see Elaina, and cocked his head sideways. 'Your sister?' He asked cautiously.

Victoria nodded. "This is Elaina, the oldest of us all." She grinned humanly at her sister, trying to get the point across that she would very much like to speak with her in private about these men.
Nanabell turned to Edward and set the guitar down at his feet and bowed, seeming like she was apologizing. She sat at his feet and pantsed, long pink tongue lolling out.
