"Settle down, then, and let me do something. All you need to do is meditate, if you will. I need to search your soul for this to work." With that said, Cyrith pulled his wings back out, and lit up with a soft glow. Settling himself on the ground, he started to stare at the girl. Not really at her, but more through her. His eyes took on a glazed look, focussing on something only he could see.

Riyu sat calmly, although she still worried. Worried about many things, including Raven, who even now was trapped in a cage of her soul. However, her soul was weak from cutting it in half, while Raven's was strong, snapping at her prison, trying to escape. Raven was a well known demon to all of them. It had been painful, apparently, when one of the higher lords had been taken from her physical body.
A few still searched for Raven, which led Riyu to spend countless nights with a metal baseball bat in her hands, trembling and smashing the water heater in the basement to an oblivion.

Still searching around her soul, Cyrith came upon an anomaly. Her soul had a schism in it, which was abnormal in and of itself, but the weird part was what was occupying the stronger half. A strong energy. Making a small breach in the "prison," Cyrith snapped it shut with a curse, drawing himself back to the normal world.
"s**t. Please, I beg to God. Please tell me that you didn't summon and soul bind who I think you did? Of all the creatures out there to do that to, you had to do it to the most vindictive of them all. What in hell were you thinking?"

"Aaah...well, I didn't actually make Blood Raven. GOD no. And if I had, she would collaps upon herself the second she touched the pysical world. See, it can only come as an animal, and she's an undead priestess. Of course she couldn't release herself. I'm a container. She CAN'T get out."
It was more than true, and her voice that didn't shake said it. Riyu hadn't really been born. More, created. Her bones were metal, but other than that she was kind of a Frankenstein's creation type thing, made to hold demons until they suffocated from being trapped. She had been despised for a looooong time because of this, yet not thrown away. A demon usually suffocated in about 20 years, but it was important that it wasn't released, and if it was, it needed to be weak and so unable to come in contact with the pysical world. Although she hated being some sort of host, she was changing the world. Slowly. And very insignifigantly(sp?).

Cyrith scooted back a bit, suddenly wary of the girl in front of him. After all, he was a demon. "A container? A container?!? As in a prison for demons? Why? As unfond as I am of demons, they don't deserve to die. And if you try and contain me, I won't hesitate to fight with all my strength."

Riyu laughed dryly. "Yes, my job is to try and take every demon that ever lived, even if I get overridden and turned into some gigantic monster. Uh, no. I can only support one at a time, and Raven is quite enough for me, thank you very much." Actually, how she could support all these demons was beyond her. Wait. She got wiped each time she got a new demon. Blood Raven wasn't exactly the first. Well, that was what she was told. She didn't remember being wiped. After she was wiped, she didn't remember anything at all. She would wake up in the hospital with people faking the 'oh, we were so worried about you!' thing. She only had about 3 years left with these memories, and then they were gone forever.

Cyrith cocked his head to the side. "Why do you do it? Why contain demons? What have they ever done to you? I probably have more reason to kill them than you do." They always made fun of him, beat him whenever they saw him, and were the cause of his earlier nightmares.

"I don't want to. They wipe me every time. It's very painful for something inside of you to keep trying to force it's way out via killing you. Plus, I've had a top of 3 friends in my lifetime. If I had others, I don't remember them. People are too scared of Raven to get close to me, so most of my time I lock myself in my room." She bit her tounge. Hard. It was hard getting her to talk about the wipe, but when people did she felt like crying. Everyone asked the same thing: 'them who?' The answer was her caretakers. Her older brother and her rival. And one of her younger sisters, but Zeffie didn't count as a whole person yet.

Cyrith just stared into her eyes, realizing she was telling the truth, and she was about to cry. Then he had an idea. "You said that Raven can come out as an animal? Can she actually move around then, or is your prowess not good enough to do so?"

Cyrith got the info he needed. Most, likely, not. So, he tried his own thing. One of four things would happen. One, she would feel it and not care. Two, she would feel, and fight, yet lose in the end. Three, she would feel it, fight it, and overcome. Four, she wouldn't feel it or care. So, he linked up to her soul. Hopefully she wouldn't frighten at the sudden pressure on her soul.

Riyu quickly realized what he was doing. She closed the indigo orbs in her head and opened her inner eye.
Her soul eye.
She continued to fence in Raven, but her eye set warily on the newcomer in her body. If he lashed out at her, she would have no choice but to recoil or take damage, both of which would free the demon priestess into the rest of her body. If she attacked, she would let Raven loose. So she had no choice but to just sit and wait. Wait for him to leave, and wait for her to take over.
...No one likes that situation.

Probing around the prison, Cyrith felt the presence of Raven. It was weaker than normal, but she was well known for her energy reserves. He needed to connect Raven to himself, but it would be uncomfortable for him. The idea of permanently bonding a demon to himself, and having to be around it was unnerving for him. Oh, well. It had to be done, at least in his opinion. He continued searching for any weak spots, or areas that could be used as a focus point.

Naturally, being Riyu and all, just as she thought the causes of her nightmares were over, they started again. Before Raven was removed. As she was about to open a slight weak point for him to enter, something in the reality presence came in the form of pain.
She made a small thud against a tree near her, the soul connection snapping off like a twig. As she looked up, one word came to her mind. Actually, two.
Oh, s**t.
The towering bodies of demons hovered in a semi-circle around the two of them. And the way they were glaring at her made her feel very, very small. Wincing, she forced herself into a sitting position, doing her best to glare right back at them.
She didn't think it was working.
She knew this because, well, they weren't at all scared, even though she was a container, made exactly for the perpous(sp?) of killing demons embodied in her. Which wasn't her fault, by the way! That was kind of the thought that came to her mind whenever someone tried to tell her that she was useless. They usually won, for your info. This kind of told her she was useless.
Anyway, back to the present. So, black figures that weren't normally anywhere near Konoha were just outside it's gates, staring at her as if she were delicious sushi. (Now Riyu wished she had eaten more sushi in her life, seeing as it was really, really good.) One of them stood in the corner. She didn't look so dangerous. She actually looked like she was upset by the rest of them. But the rest of them looked like...er...scary....people. We shall leave it at that. The silence was broken with a gravelly voice. "Oi. You Riyu?"
Riyu was thinking fast. If she told them no, then they might hear her voice waver, but if she said yes, then they'd kill her. Either way, she'd end this with being dead. Honest death, false death, honest death, false death, honest death, false death...Eventually honest won, high and mighty against Raven.
"Eeh...that's me." Riyu shrunk back at the change of expression on their faces. It was...a little bloodthirsty now. Well, duh. I've got Raven stuck in me!

Cyrith felt a little shaken up when he was forcefully ejected from the link. Hopefully there wouldn't be any damage to her soul, although he didn't have anything really set up yet. Though he started cursing up a storm when he saw who was talking. s**t. It had too be Rinus. Why Rinus?
