Koubi hugged Chris gently. He knew what it was like to worry about a brother, "No, I understand it..." Koubi released Chris from the hug, "I'm sure he'll be fine though," in all honesty, he wasn't sure he'd be fine, but he wanted to make sure Chris was okay.

Chris sighed and leaned into Koubi's touch. They understood each other almost perfectly. It was good. "I don't know... I mean, he's Jake. He doesn't really like to hurt or kill but he doesn't understand why we have to do it either."

"Yeah," Koubi sighed, thinking of his deceased brother, "He's pretty smart for a kid though. He'll be okay," Koubi smiled warmly at Chris, and placed and rubbed his side.

"Uh-huh..." His eyes started to slip close as he leaned on Koubi more.

Too cute... Koui thought, scooting closer to Chris, so their hips were touching. He coughed slightly, and kissed Chris's forehead, in a big brother sort of way.

Looking up, a look of hatred filled James' eyes. "Dusk." He said with the back of his throat, which produced a deep growl.

"yes, good observation," said ex with a rather uninterested sigh. "now.. can you stand?" he had one hand on his hip now, gazing down at the boy with his eyes only, his head uplifted.

"Sure. Why, wanna fight?" James said, ignoring how uninterested the boy seemed with him. A Dusk was an enemy he needed to kill to him. Or at least beat to a pulp.

"not if you can't stand." he now turned his whole head down to look at him full-on. "get up. if you're a weakling, i'm leaving." he let his hand drop from his hip to his side, and slid into battle-mode.

Glaring, he thought 'It's a good thing I've been laying here resting so long....Otherwise I probably really WOULDN'T be able to get up.'
Standing up slowly, he shifted into an offensive position, beads of sweat sliding down his face from the effort. "I can stand just fine." He said coldly.

ex sighed and rolled his eyes, dropping his fists. "oh come ON. you're pathetic. watch this." he leaned over and jabbed a finger into his stomach, and watched the boy waver. "wow." he shook his head, took a step back, and muttered, "okay, re-wording this. can you fight? without boring me."

Stumbling as the guy poked him, he glared when he jumped back. Fuming, he said "Don't TOUCH me!" And ran at him, swinging at him violently, the anger of his parents tragedy burning into his eyes. "I'll kill you!" He yelled in a rage, swiping at him again and again.

ex dodged each blow by swinging to the side. his eyes remained calm and fixed on him. "control your anger, dolt." he said in his bored tone as he did so. "you need to channel it into your fighting." there was so much this kid needed to learn, and he could already tell from just that.

Hissing, the boy said "SHUT UP!" And curled his fist, swinging right at his face with a "I don't take tutoring from Dusk twinkle-toes!"
