Reijin watched her go, not even making a move after her, or even changing expressions. Walking over to the kitchen, he poured himself a glass of water, slamming it down on the counter so hard that it shattered, scattering glass everywhere. Pulling a shard out of his now bleeding hand, he leaned a shoulder on the wall, looking at the door and scoffing.
She won't last a week... where can she go? She'll be back... and when she is, she better be singing a different tune. Without that kid.
Turning to his bedroom door, he shut it behind him, and layed down in his bed, promptly falling asleep.

Shizuku's sword sheath dragged on the ground. "Ginrei...I'm sorry...you deserve better. I was heartless..." She apologized, as she headed for the tree where she had met Ikko.
Laying Ginrei down against the tree, he continued to sleep soundly.
"I...might just have to...take your life...because Reijin might just kill you first." Tears ran down her face, and fell onto her clothing.
"I'm alone again...aren't I?" She shrugged, withdrawing Yau. In the grass underneath the tree, she etched, 'Reijin' and drew a heart around it. She then made a zig-zag down the middle of the heart, and it was now broken.
Putting her hand on her thigh, she hung her head, and lodged her sword in the grass beside her, tears falling onto the back of her hand.
Not sleeping at all, she stayed up all night.

A figure wrapped in crimson robes was standing with his back to the tree, once again on the side opposite to Shizuku.
"Having more troubles? What could possibly be wrong this time." Ikko spoke to Shizuku mockingly, but still his straight voice remained.

"I've gained my brother, but lost my best friend whom I love, and you could say, my boyfriend." Shizuku muttered, speaking loud enough for him to hear, but softly.

Ikko stood listening to her without facing in her direction.
"I could HELP, if you want me to?" Ikko voice still mocking but keeping all seriousness.

"No...not this time...this is something I must fix by myself...he hates me at the moment, and I see why..." Shizuku's voice trailed off, and she wiped her eyes in her sleeve, then set her arm down at her side.

Ikko stared off, it would be dawn soon and he would be easily seen in the daylight.
"Are you sure? What will you do now, he'll never accept you and your brother in his house, and all the lies you've told him....I'll be around if you need me I'll know." Ikko said as he threw a smoke pellet at the ground and disappeared with in it's distraction.

"I'll..." Shizuku's voice trailed off, as daybreak began. 'I won't do anything...I'm stuck...I'm a lie, my life's a lie...how can I live with myself?' She whispered to herself. "Hmm?" She turned her head to her little brother.
He stirred within her blanket, and opened his eyes. Letting out a yawn, he blinked, and turned his head toward Shizuku. "Huh?" He jumped up out of the blanket.
"Who are you!? Why am I outside?" He looked at her, and grew angry.
"I'm Shizuku. Your older sister. Your outside, because I took you...from that aweful place." Shizuku looked at him, and got to her feet.
"What? I don't got no sister! You lie!" Ginrei punched her thigh.
"I'll explain." Shizuku kneeled down, and was at his height, and she explained to him.

Ikko scoffed at the boy's temper even towards his own sister.
"Great attitude he has, will you tell him more lies also or will you have him hate you for the truth?Ikko called from the tree above, looking down on Shizuku and Ginrei.

Shizuku heard him, and tried her best to ignore it. Finishing her explanation, her brother looked at her, and picked up a rock, and threw it at her.
"Ouch!" Shizuku winced, the small rock had hit her hand, when she blocked.
"You are not my sister! My sister wouldn't do that!" Girei punched her in the mouth.
Shizuku felt blood trickle down the corner of her lip, but she didn't show any pain, thought it hurt.
"You don't believe me? Here! Look!" She picked up Yau from the ground, and showed him. "See that!? That's our family's emblem. You should have something!" She thurst her hand around his throat, and kept him still.
"What are you...?" Ginrei struggled. "Get your hands off that!" He stammered, as she gripped her hand on what he was wearing on his neck. She pulled at it with a short and quick movement, and it came off.
"See this! I gave this to you when you were a baby, it also has our family emblem!" She turned it to him, and shoved it in his face. Giving him a quick embracem she held him in her arms, wiping the blood from her mouth in her sleeve.

"How does he not know you just killed someone for that sword, just to get close to him? For all he knows you maybe trying to kill him or just use him." Ikko brought up good points even he doesn't know if she just happened to kill Ginrei's clansmen, Shizuku would need something to prove this to the child and to him.

Shizuku gritted her teeth, listening to Ikko's words. "Don't bring up the past! I've done things I'm not proud off. I didn't kill anyone for the sword...I...I'd never use him!"
She shouted, scaring Ginrei. She didn't let him go.
"I did kill...I did kill...I killed two people..." She admitted, feeling tears well to her eyes. "With my own katana...I took the lives of two people..." She said quietly.

"...And would those people just so happen to be related to you at all?" Ikko pried at their emotions without a second thought, he knew how to get his answers and sometimes the answers he wanted.

"Yes okay! Yes! I killed my mother and father! I killed off the head of the clan!" Shizuku was ready to break under pressure. 'I've done more...I've done horrid things...'
She could feel her shirt become wet. Looking down at Ginrei, he was crying. She held him closer, knowing that he wanted to run.
"I'm not proud of the deed..." She cried out, feeling so much pain pierce through her already fragile heart.
