Nereus swallowed and nodded nervously, flashing a small smile at Kamea. Scratching at the bark on the tree, he ended up scampering a few branches higher to a hollow around the middle that was filled with leaf mush. Smiling to himself, he bounded in, making a Nereus-sized indent for him to rest in.
Poking his head out, he stared up at Kamea, squinted when he outline could barely be made out against the sun.
"I'll take this one, 'kay?"

Odelay was bored. Settling down was just plain to boring and he feared it was time to move on as much fun as his new friends where and all he couldnt be bound to one place or group.
"Well young ladies and gent I fear its time I go," With no further explanation he jumped past a few bushes and ran off til he was completely out of sight.

Nereus blinked at the fast-disappearing Odelay. Did he just...? Risking a glance at Kamea and Ona above, he decided to not mind it, as Odelay was always a fickle one.
Perhaps he would be back, or perhaps not.
Nereus shrugged into his hollow. Things were moving fast.

“Uncle?!” Ona said with a frown before she sighed
“I should have this coming; everyone must leave sooner or later.” She said before sticking her head back into the hollow to try and sleep.

Nereus stuck his head from the hollow again, taking a long look at Ona.
"You okay up there...?" he wondered aloud, hoping Ona wasn't too hurt from Odelay's sudden disappearance.

"Rest well Ona and Nereus!" Kamea called out before finding a nearby tree with a hole big enough for her to stretch out in comfortably. She settled inside, folding her wings gently close to her body. Her ears flicked as Odelay left and she peeked out of her new home to see him disappear under the brush. He cantered away in the direction they had come. Stay safe friend... she thought sadly and nestled into her home, alone as before and as it should be, or so she thought that was how the world was. She drifted off the sleep under the dying rays of the sun.

Nereus looked up at Kamea, hoping she was alright with things, too. The day had ended up such a great adventure- oh, he hoped he'd see them again, all of them. Especially Kamea, actually, though he kept that thought unspoken. The sunset cast that burning light over the forest, and he somehow... somehow just knew that he'd be back, one day.
It was an unspoken promise, but he didn't break promises.
((End? It feels cozy here XD))

Ona woke in the morning to see her uncle not there. Then she remembered last night’s events and let it go. After a couple of stretches on the branch next to her hole she jumped out of the tree near where Kamea was sleeping.
“Good morning Auntie!” She said with delight to still see that she stayed

Kamea blinked and stretched, "Who? Wha?" She yawned expansively and shook her head as if shaking off a dream. She looked up into the face of Ona. "Oh. Hello. Who are you?"
Kamea had forgotten a few of the previous day's events, as is her habit, and she looked dumbfoundedly at the Tae.

Nereus cracked his eyes open tiredly, attempting to swish his tail but finding it colliding with the walls of the small hollow he was resting in, resulting in a loud, cracking noise that made him jump. He hoped he didn't wake up the girls.
Sticking his head out the hollow and almost being blinded by the sun, he saw the familiar sight of the two females conversing above him.
Silencing himself, he turned his head and listened.

Ona laughed at Kamea's comment
"Your'e so silly Auntie." She managed to say between her luaghs.
"Hey look cuis N is up!"

"Auntie?" she murmured to herself. "Do I have siblings??" She tilted her head and examined Ona. "Sooo, you're my niece?? Where's my sister? Or brother?"
She was quite perplexed at who this "N" was and looked down out of the tree, blinking her eyes repeatedly because of the sun and trying to see the other creature clearly. "That's a male!" She stared, being once again suspicious of a male so close to her territory. Wait? Maybe he's my brother?? But... she said cus, like cousin? He couldn't be -my- son could he?
She was once again terribly confused.
