Amadeus signalled to Saya and grinned at her. "Gotcha!"

The Rice Country was quite agricultural and empty, and apart from miles and miles of rice fields Amadeus could clearly see a bustling town in the distance. Pointing at it, he asked Saya, "Is that it?"

"I see..." Amadeus said thoughtfully. There were now a lot more people on the roads and they were staring at them curiously and even mistrustfully. Now Amadeus was thinking of what to tell Lady Saiya and of course, what to let the others do in the mean time. Maybe he could propse some sort of exchange student thing... maybe there would be a free teacher in Oto, or something, and they could learn from each other. But first...

"Hey Saya, you hungry?" his stomach was gently reminding him that he hadn't eaten for a while, and Amadeus hungered for real food, served by restaurants and the like.

"Ice cream and beef?" Amadeus was clearly not as enthusiastic about that idea as Saya was. They were reaching the villages gates now, and soon they reached it. Amadeus showed them his passport and waited for the others to do the same.

"Let's go to the best restaurant in Oto, Saya-chan."

The boy carried his jacket over his head as the beating rain drummed at the world around him. Each time his fingers tightened the leather squealed oh his gloves. Which was only drowned out by the slush of his boots on the pale dirt road that seemed to go on for miles.

He had been walking since dawn, and the sun had not been in sight since the vary earliest hours of the morning. For the past few miles it had been pouring down on his dark flamboyant mop of a head. His bright eyes seemed the only color in the world around him. He was about ready to stop under the cover of some small trees and rest the night, when finally, a wall that he had so long anticipated, poked it's face out of the distance. Still so far, but finally he had made it. A laugh broke the pitter-pattered conformity of the air. For two days he had walked, through the beating sun, and freezing mornings. From the land of fire, to the land of sound. It seemed so dull now that he was here, all the greys and greens. They deemed washed out from all the rain. None the less the boy had heard much of this wonderfully young sexy maiden. He put on an evil grin and imagined, a dark naked woman, her breast in his hands. Suddenly his grin stopped and was replaced by a drooping mouth and hopeful eyes.

"What is the meaning of this kind of call...my mistress?" From the shadows of the village, the form of the white tiger materialized, snowy white fur with inky stripes set aglow by the moonlight overhead. However, it would seem Yuumei could care less about the moon or stars tonight. She was in hysterics, pointing at a spot on the ground.

"My mistress...Yuumei. I can't quite make out what you're saying. Calm down enough first, please..." They won't be going anywhere if she couldn't calm down enough to say what happened...and what she wanted him to do.

"Calm down? Calm down?? How can I calm down!" Still in hysterics, but at least she could speak more clearly now. "Kiroshiro, this is the worst. A kidnapping in the middle of the night! The village won't even know, until its morning!" Her arms wrapped around the great tiger's neck, and she began sniffing. "That idiot, what on earth was he thinking taking a walk around this late at night...if only I haven't gone out the village to buy medicine..."

"My mistress...please don't use me as a tissue. Who's missing?"

"Who else but that idiot child! Come, come! We don't have a moment to waste!" Generally, when they traveled, Yuumei would ride on the huge tiger. But she had run ahead now after pointing to a certain spot several times. "If a rain shower happens to chance by, you won't be able to catch his scent. Hurry, hurry!"

And then she was, muttering how she had failed, even after finally being entrusted with classified information of Akeru's past. She was looking forward, too...to being his Sensei one day, when he graduated the Academy. All that was promised...how he wanted to learn the Katon Jutsus, so he would finally be recognized as an adult...

Kiroshiro sighed, and did as she asked. This scent... But why would they want a defenseless child for? No questions to be asked, not that Yuumei was in any condition to answer them... "The scent broke off here...they must've Shunshined. But the wind is carrying his scent from elsewhere." The tiger turned to Yuumei. "Come, Yuumei. Ride on me. Otherwise you'll be delaying, so distracted."

"Well, let's go." Lavi said letting go of Raine's hand. The morning was still chilly, and the older boy found it odd that he was walking out back on the road he had taken to get into the village just a few days ago. Raine skipped happily in front of him which was nice. He wondered what could be found in Sunagakure.

Raine wondered why this road had felt so familiar. He had an odd feeling that he had been there before, but couldn't remember for the life of him when it was that he had been there.
