Gaddwick frowned. "Did I say something wrong. I'm sorry if I offended you."

Miomoko looked surprised, "Oh! No, no. I'm just not in the best mood considering...well, everything that has happened." She replied.

Kian sneezed and started to wake up. He was alot more warm now that he was wrapped in a blanket.

"Perhaps introductions can wait until tomorrow. Things could get a little busy around here today but I understand if you need to sort some things out. If you need anything just let me know."

User ImageWait….did she just hear that correctly? Someone whom wasn’t even present during the chaos is in a bad mood because of it beside the conditions of the weather which the ranger found more than withstanding on any given day. The girl must’ve not be used to the actual true force of winter weather if she was shivering up in a pathetic ball of sheets on one of the more warmest days of winter up in the shadow of the mountains. Well if the hard tactic work ahead wasn’t going to make this one run it was defiantly going to be the weather. Steam rose up heavily as the umber shades of coffee was slowly poured into the stile foam cup a little more than halfway till the running liquid came to a halt. Pot placed rightly back on the stand allowing the rest of the crushed coffee beans to create the caffeinated drink. A few small white packs were grabbed no bigger than the head of a small spoon in blue lettering the word ‘Sugar’ was printed.

The white little pellets would melt away against such immense heat of the coffee but to make sure it wouldn’t all just settle upon the bottom a plastic spoon was dunked in stirring it all around smoothly. With the possibility of the day being highly busy it would’ve been best to let the recruit know of all the members. After all it was going to be very hectic and if anything the younglings could spend the time with Luci whom did need to add them to what little database they now had. Rolling the papers up beneath the pit of her arm Mineshadow would snatch hold of the cup bringing it along as she strolled back across the room to the small throng of people. The small twirling currents of the mixture making the spoon spiral around a few times before coming to a rest against the index finger.

“If introductions are going to be short then have them report to Luci the woman wouldn’t mind the company of new faces.” The ranger came to a stop a few steps from the group taking a quick sip of the bitter black coffee it was the bitterness that worked its magic on waking every human cell in the body. After the sip the girl would glance over at Gaddwick with a bit of leaning posture. “More importantly how is our leader doing this morning?”

Miomoko smiled, "Thank you. I will." She walked back over to the couch and just listened to anything that might have been going on. Kian shook his head, and was now fully awake. He looked much more warm, he himself haden't been used to snow. Infact it had been his first time even seeing the stuff. Miomoko had seen snow before, but last time was wearing appropriate clothing. They were now much warmer, and becoming more comfortable in the pokecenter.

"I'm doing... better." he slowly responded to Mineshadow. "I'm still a little nervous but things will probably turn out okay. I'm sort of trying to take my mind off it. Of course that brings up other matters. We can't stay here forever. We're going to need a new HQ soon. Preferably before the Indigo Conference. It'll be crazy here and they won't have any room to spare." He sighed and sat in a chair directly behind him. "I think I'm just going to take it one day at a time for now. If we really need to I'm sure I could find somewhere for us to stay in Saffron."

At least the man seemed to be stable in all levels though at this rate there was a concern of how easily that confidence may fall. Especially since the police were soon to arrive it wouldn’t be long now within the next thirty minutes a less. If there was anything about officers that Mineshadow knew it was the fact they like to start out early and waste very little time. If anything went smoothly the company of such law enforcement would be limited there were only about six people in which they needed to interview though two of them weren’t present. That right there was enough to cause problems but it was something that they could get around with some ease. Unlike the rest the ranger choose to continue standing instead of taking a seat inhaling the aroma of the black coffee.

Indigo Conference not many of the rangers were entering at least that was the assumption in which the ranger was getting. On any given day Mineshadow would’ve entered it for the thrill of a challenging battle but in reality the publicity wasn’t such a great idea. Because of the work in which the girl had been involved with exposing herself so easily would bring nothing but trouble. There was no way knowing just who would’ve recognized her if at all there was always that one person that could though. Perhaps with the flood of new recruits there would be more members to represent the small bundle of Rangers.

Coffee came sliding out of the cup as it was tilted upwards allowing it to flow smoothly into the human body that is till the sudden jerk at the mention of Saffron. It was so quick that it would’ve gone unnoticed if the muscles within the throat hadn’t closed up during the sip making the coffee coming to a sudden halt. In a natural body reaction the body convulsed trying to force out the fluids. The roll of newspaper collided with the floor as the hand came clasping over the mouth the other still holding firmly to the cup a very harsh cough breaking out in such ferocity that several smaller ones followed suite after it. Thankfully nothing was spilled over the newly cleaned floors and the coffee that had been blocked off managed to not be squirted every where instead it was still held back till the muscles relaxed letting the rest settle down into the body.

Kanto was the region in which the ranger had been born in it was her native land but there were several places in which the girl wishes to never revisit one of them was Saffron City. There was just something about that place that made her feel sick to the stomach. Perhaps it was the mere fact that it was a haven for those with a passion for physics and that sort of pokemon as well. The exact opposite in which Mineshadow lives in but it was more then just that it was that back when she had first died from the world within the fires of that house Saffron was the first place in which she found a small amount of refuge there. But even the description of little seemed a bit too high for such a thing it was the birthplace in which her new life started on a path that she was still chained upon.

Mineshadow's reaction would have been almost comical to Gaddwick if he had not sensed the abrupt change of emotion. His first instinct was to get up and see if she was alright but it wasn't exactly in Mineshadow's nature to accept help from anyone. Gaddwick had an idea of why her reaction was so severe through. She had trouble dealing with one psychic a whole city of them might drive her crazy.

Gaddwick frowned. "I thought you might not like the idea of Saffron. I don't think it would work out well as a base anyways. We need to stay close to the Kanto/Jhoto border. I'm saying this would be temporary for the duration of the Indigo Conference. Would you be able to handle that?"

Jack, who had not moved, suddenly looked up. "Oh I know someone who can give us a place." he commented.

((Ok))

“A ranger is to adapt to any situation I’ll be able to manager it.” Mineshadow remarked after regaining her composure though personally if the stay was going to be near a month she didn’t think she would last. In reality she would probably be gone from the place by keeping herself busy with the constant flow of missions with a city like Saffron there was always work to be found. Along with trouble of course nothing else could be expected any less of the city. Bending down the paper was snatched back up from the floor rolling it up tightly this time keeping it firmly within her hold. Cerberus lifted his head from the floor ears perking in response to the short distance of sound through the Center doors giving a low growl. The ranger would glance in the general direction catching sight of the police vehicle that was pulling up from the road. “Ah, that didn’t take long. I’ll go ahead and greet them you two should probably get the rookie up to date of what’s taking place today.”

Chugging down the rest of the contents the cup was thrown across the room into the small garbage bin before proceeding to the doors sliding open smoothly allowing the ranger and Houndour out of the Center stepping upon the crunchy snow that lightly layered the ground. The pair stood there several feet from the building as the car pulled up finding more than efficient space to park. A single car meaning that only the ones commencing the interviews were going to be present the rest of the group had probably headed off up the mountain to take the necessary steps at the ruined base. As expected from the driver side officer Jenny came out that familiar blue hair style was like a big black x being printed upon a pink piece of paper. It was very apparent and noticeably just like the nurse within the center the pair always seemed to stick out like a sore thumb.

From the passenger door steps out another individual a man about a good six feet tall with a bushel of umber hair falling to the lowest point of the neck. It was faintly unkempt but in a way adds a strange sense of style against such core peach color of skin a man that clearly spends more time out in the face of the sun than that of an office space. Eyes the exact perfect shade of umber to go along with that unruly hair by any standards the man looked to be young but in truth he was actually in the stages of early thirties. If it hadn’t been for the shield clipped upon the light moss of the jacket he could’ve very well pass on by as a mere civilian of the region. Even back as a younger man that sense of fashion choice hadn’t changed in the least bit always choosing to linger within the fabrics of loose and comfortable compared to the proper that was Officer Lynch for you.

“We are all ready inside, Officer Jenny. Though I must inform you we have some new recruits coming in today that weren’t even present during the attack so they need not to be questioned.” Mineshadow started as she started standing aside from the doors to allow them go ahead and proceed first into the interior of the building. The two knew the drill besides this wasn’t the first that the rangers and police were together so hardly anything had to be said between the two as Jenny went on inside. A brief glance passed on between the ranger and Lynch before they followed suite into the building the ranger would head back to Gadd and the others. “You all know officer Jenny the other one is officer Lynch.”

Before Mineshadow returned Gaddwick whispered something to Jack. "You might not want to let on that Lucario can talk. It will only make things more complicated. Don't lie but don't bring it up yourself." he turned to the new recruit. "You said your name was Momoko right? We're going to be talking to the police today. I don't have enough time to explain now but I'll try to fill you in afterwards."

He quickly turned when the officers entered the room. Gaddwick didn't exactly have the best opinion of the Jenny family. They were good people and meant well but they didn't exactly excel at what they did. The other guy though seemed to be the real deal. Experienced and confidence with no unnecessary flare. He inclined his head to the both of them and extended his hand to the officers. "Hello, my name is Gaddwick Lenns."

Miomoko nodded towards Gaddwick. She looked at Kian with a puzzled look on her face. She had wondered why everyone was gathered in at the Pokecenter, and why everyone looked so...un-happy in some way. Now, many of them would be talking to the police. She certainly was recruited on an interesting day. She concluded that she would just sit down and await the explination from Gaddwick, and possibly over hear, or talk to a couple other Rangers about the whole situation, even though she didn't really know anyone. It might be a better idea to wait though, they all seemed a little edgy as well.

It took hours of convincing but eventually Officer Lynch had managed to squeeze his way onto the team to investigate one of the attacked ranger bases. On any other day the man would’ve never bothered with such a case after all he was one of the few that dealt with the more heinous crimes. That all changed when that call came in just before he was about to leave the office what made it worse that it was on his own personal cell. A number that had been changed well over a dozen times yet every time that girl managed to get hold of it once more it unsettled his stomach to a great extent it felt as if a leash had been clasped around him. It’s been years since the pair had last seen each other in person a moment in his life that he had wish he could rewrite. Yet, here he was in the car with window rolled all the way down allowing the smoke from his cigarette to be carried away into the atmosphere. It wasn’t an addiction to the cigarettes but rather a habit of relieving stress and today was no exception though he had already gone through a great deal of the pack he had taken with him.

The one he had been using was smashed out as the Pokemon Center came into view and out standing before it was a lone figure. Shades of red and black announcing that it was one of the rangers waiting for they’re arrival but the person within the uniform was what came as a shock. Sure the hair was a bit longer than before but that stance, pale skin, and leering gaze was more then enough for the officer to realize whom the person was. Never in all the years of his career had he guessed that the girl would become a ranger it wasn’t the type of work that suited the woman. Eyes were wondering wildly trying to see if that annoying Gastly was around but instead in its place was the stern looking Houndour that appeared to be a more suiting partner merely by its aggressive nature. Running a hand through the dark strands of his hair the man would let out a reluctant sigh before stepping out of the vehicle. Deciding best to keep his mouth shut for the moment as they were led into the center.

Immediately off to the right was a small bunch of Rangers sitting around in a conversation that came to an abrupt stop when they had entered. When Mineshadow had mentioned it was a small band the girl really meant it then again most of the ranger branches were small. It was actually preferred that way it made it easier to keep track of every person and it made it just the right amount so there would always be work for every person. Often at times in the police force one could find themselves seemingly stuck for days doing nothing but endless reports simply for the fact that there were too many others on a single task.
“Why don’t you go and get those files?”

A strange response to the brief introduction between the law enforcement and the rangers but indeed he wanted to get this done and over with. Besides, he wanted to keep Officer Jenny busy with something she wasn’t exactly qualified when it came to interviewing people in a crime. As harsh as that was it was true by all accounts if anything the woman would just be in the way.

Mineshadow would turn to Jenny at the request of the files which should be completely done by this point it wasn’t like Luci to have things incomplete. “Indeed, they are ready I’ll show you the way.” The pair would leave the room heading up the flight of stairs to go pay Luci a nice late morning visit.

Officer Lynch would stand there for several moments till the pair had completely left the floor leaving him alone with the three other rangers two of which still hadn’t been introduced. Just by looking at each one it was apparent all of them were still young something else that was common amongst the Rangers unlike the law enforcement the Rangers recruited at a young age where in the police force you had to be well into your twenties or over. Lynch would turn his attention back to Gaddwick he remembered from what he was able to collect on his own that at the moment the ranger was one of the highest ranking out of all of them. At current moment the one that was also in charge of the small bunch.

“Mr. Lenns is there anything I need to know at this very moment before we get started?” In truth he had wanted to ask how long that woman had been a ranger and how she had managed to get in such a ranking position in a short amount of time. But such a question would have to wait to announce it now would just stir up suspicion and the last thing he wanted was to cause any of them to be a suspicious mode.

Gaddwick retracted his hand before speaking. "The only thing that you should be aware of is that I was born and raised in Saffron City and studied under Sabrina. If you wish to take any precautions I'm fully willing to cooperate." Gadd was a little nervous but Mineshadow asked him to trust her. He swallowed back his fear before gesturing to the other Rangers. "This is Jack on my left. He showed up shortly after the fire began and later found Hasteings's things. Behind me is our newest recruit she just arrived this morning."

Jack raised his hand when Gadd metioned him. He had wished he had shown up earlier but he was busy trying to find Zaptos. [bah and I still havn't finished that mission!] He waited for his turn and made sure Lucario didn't say anything. I have such a weird Lucario...but I love him. Lucario frowned when he said he was weird but smiled.
