@Ivory and Horze: Darlings, I'm friends with all three staff doing this event and I know they're busy. However, I was also statign a personal preference since I have seen events before where peopel being helpful managed to get things into a snarl by making posts like that. Hence, my own personal feelings about such matters.
And as for making such posts, we;re all big boys and girls (mainly girls) and presumably we all know how to read and tell time?

*loffs on Sine* I actually feel much the same way--and to kinda put in my own two cents, I didn't see Sine say anything about it not being allowed, simply that she preferred to wait for staff to make official announcements as to whether entries were closed or not? <3

Honestly though, people can read the front page and see when time is up *shrugs* I, too, would rather see staff themselves post it. What if they wanted to be a bit more with the holiday spirit and extend it longer?
But, like Gelfin before me, that is my personal preference. Not me saying you 'pulled a foul'. ^_^ heart

Ivory, as well intended as your post may have been, If you had done something like that in my ExLibris events I would be -enormously- irritated.
I promice you that as well meaning as it was staffers and thread goes alike can read time stamps. In fact I myself have counted on them for a few raffles -here- that I've done.
Gelfin was stating a personal prefrence to have a stafer close the raffle, it was in no way a personal assualt and I think its fairly clear that you and your (sister?) have taken it as one, Hotez springing to your size much the same way that I might if I were perparing for an argument.
I'll ask this to be discontinued, the 9:30 EST deadline is indeed past, and All that remains is for the staffers =running= this raffle, to come and check time stamps...and make their rolls.
If you have further issues I'll ask must kindly for you to take them elsewhere so that the thread dosen't become too cluttered and or hostile.
